Quack along with the original Mighty Ducks movie.
16 June 2024
Walt Disney's hit film The Mighty Ducks returns to the big screen when the director directs D2: The Mighty Ducks which has story to it. Although, it's kind of like the exact same story as the first; all except that the original team starts out in the beginning of the film and this Mighty Ducks film has new players to it. Now, the slapstick in the film is nothing you can laugh at. In fact, it's not even funny. It's boring and I didn't care about it as well. The laughs (which really don't have laughs) in this film are no different than what Macaulay Culkin would of used if there's another Home Alone sequel.

Poltergeist (1982)

The effects are undefeated!
14 June 2024
Superb special effects has really gotten this decent horror movie to work. An everyday suburban family appear to have ghosts, who came from the T. V., turning their house into living hell. Later on in Poltergeist, the invaders suddenly put the family's little 4 year old, blond haired girl into the family's T. V. Then, the family gets experts who try to deal with poltergeists easily. Poltergeist is a well done horror movie with actors Craig T. Nelson and JoBeth Williams making it work. Though the movie contains an ending sequence that doesn't make any sense. Poltergeist really isn't for kids just because it's rated PG. I mean it.

Just because Kitt isn't good.
14 June 2024
Geena Davis stars as a baseball player and her sister thinks that she's a big shot. Meanwhile, a baseball scout (Jon Lovitz) makes both Kitt and Dotty (Lori Petty and Geena Davis) join a baseball team. Later on in the film, their coach Jimmy Dugan (Tom Hanks) acts like a hot shot as well. This dramatic comedy is good to see with the family. Especially Tom Hanks' character, the way his actions are. Jimmy then realizes that he has a team. He cares not only about himself and realizes to do the best he can with his team. You won't know if the team won the national championships in baseball or not.

True Lies (1994)

Violence.
11 June 2024
Entertaining and perfectly violent James Cameron/Arnold Schwarzenegger production has Arnold play a CIA agent who teams up with actor Tom Arnold. Anyway, his wife (Jamie Lee Curtis), who just thought her husband was a meek and stressed out computer salesman, is having an affair with an enemy of Arnold's. The movie never runs out of steam with so-so special effects (which were nominated at the Awards ceremony). Though, Cameron lacks some of the violence behind when he throws in some cheap jokes. Even a scene in which Arnold rides an airplane is fairly lame. Special Appearance by Charleton Heston.

The plane still boards.
10 June 2024
Luckily, the creators didn't do anything to the Airplane sequel, which wasn't crummy, but needs improvement from their story and script. It's now about the same characters, all except Leslie Nielsen and Lloyd Bridges who boarded to Chicago now boards once again, so that they could go up in space. Pretty weird. Isn't it? The good thing about this film is that at least most of the characters or actions don't change, but they need funnier laughs adding to the script. Well, going on the plane the first time for the original Airplane film is better than appearing on the plane the second time for Airplane II: The Sequel.

A silly movie.
9 June 2024
John Candy and Dan Aykroyd team up just like they do in The Blues Brothers. They now team up in The Great Outdoors, that's really not that funny, but has funny actions in slapstick. When John Candy and his family plan to have a vacation in the big woods, they enter the great outdoors. After Candy and his family are there, his brother in law (Dan Aykroyd) and his family follow them so he could give Candy a million dollar check. When Aykroyd enters, he makes Candy act like Aykroyd is the Great Outdoors for problems speaking of the title. It's not that funny to laugh at, but it has its advantages.

Kids will like it.
9 June 2024
Based on the cartoon TV series that used to be on Disney Afternoon. Now, it appears on the big screen and like always, it's nothing different. It always talks about money. When this movie starts off, Uncle Scrooge tries to find a secret lamp with his three nephews. As Scrooge finds it, trouble pops about and they lose the lamp. Although, the three nephews save it, but Uncle Scrooge doesn't know it. Then, a villain who transforms into stuff trues to get the lamp and vanish Scrooge and his nephews. The movie is kind of like another Raiders of the Lost Ark film from some adventurous stuff as well.

Forget Paris (1995)
7/10
Jokes.
9 June 2024
An hilarious movie to want to see. Forget Paris is a riot. It has actor-director Billy Crystal playing a basketball refery. After a wild goose chase trying to bury his father, he then meets a girl named Ellen (Debra Winger) and later get married. It's main story sacrifices the two. Both your married couple having the good things in life and the bad things in life. Whatever the problem is, it's always pretty funny to watch. That's because writers Billy Crystal, Lowell Ganz and Babaloo Mandell make Forget Paris a treat to see. Special appearance by Charles Barkley and other basketball players, too.

Backdraft (1991)

Scary violence.
9 June 2024
Thrilling scenery when it comes to fire bursting in your face or on your way. William Baldwin as one brother (who's dad died after trying to stop a vicious fire attack in an apartment) gets promoted to become a firefighter. His other brother (Kurt Russell), who acts like a hot shot once in a while, teaches his little brother how to fight off fires and also how to save one another. Robert DeNiro ain't bad as the fire department's main boss. Though, he's not the best, DeNiro has a few good parts. Seeing Backdraft is such a freaky movie. Was a very boring and uninteresting ride at Universal Studios.

Some of the laughs shown are funny, but not that funny.
8 June 2024
Mel Brooks directs and stars, but not in a leading role in this sort of funny film that needs improvement by putting a little bit more laughs into it. When Cary Elwes stars as the man in Sherwood Forest, Robin Hood, he and his team decide to act like they're hip hop Robin Hood men. That's mainly why it's called Robin Hood: Men in Tights. Meanwhile, Richard Lewis plays Prince John who agrees with a fake witch, a spoof from Robin Hood: Prince of Theives, that the Sheriff of Rottingham should marry the witch. After Robin Hood and his gang were ready wearing tights, it was like Mel Brooks would have called this film Robin Hood: Rap N With the Hood. I can tell you this is not that funny than seeing Brooks' other funny films.

The Fugitive (1993)

He tries to tell the truth that he didn't kill his wife.
8 June 2024
Warning: Spoilers
This movie based on a TV show works when it is shown on the big screen. A one-armed man that killed Dr. Richard Kimball's wife frames Richard Kimball (Harrison Ford). When he breaks out of a bus, the chase begins. Meanwhile, since Richard broke out, the cops are soon on the loose to track him down the best way possible. Sam Gerard (Tommy Lee Jones), who is a U. S. Marshall, also wants to track Richard down. Harrison Ford is pretty interesting to watch. It's exciting to see this movie over and over again by how much detail and interest is shown as well as what the film is about. The Fugitive got an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor Tommy Lee Jones who won this award for his daring role. A must see for action fans and Harrison Ford fans as well.

Speed (1994)
7/10
Even the title could interest you.
7 June 2024
A movie that is very interesting to see called Speed. It's about a mad villain (Dennis Hopper) who wants money puts a bomb on a bus and warned his enemy Jack Traven (Keanu Reeves) all about it. It could be boring at first the entire movie mainly is shown on a bus. Although, it's thrilling to talk about Speed from its style. Meanwhile, as Jack is trying to save the bus, he tells people on the bus that if you go 50mph then a bomb that is under the bus is on, but if you go below 50 after you reached it, then the bus blows up. I wonder while making the movie if real cops would give a ticket from the driving in the film.

Greedy (1994)
5/10
Greedy does have a few funny laughs, not much though.
6 June 2024
This movie carries adult jokes which mostly isn't for kids. Some funny, others so-so. It talks about a selfish family having money. A spoiled family was jealous after all these years after hearing that Uncle Joe (Kirk Douglas) would give away all his millions of dollars. Although, the big problem is that Joe forgot to tell the entire family about giving away all his millions to his nephew Danny McTeague (Michael J. Fox) and only told his #1 nephew. The funniest part about Greedy is that the family's last name is McTeague and all they want is greed. Greedy cousin Phil Hartman is enjoyable by inspiring some of the laughs. Based on a book titled McTeague.

A decent reaction.
6 June 2024
If you're still interested in the Naked Gun, Frank Dreban and the gang returns. When the bumbling Frank Dreban now acts funnier than before, a mob tries to kill and frame a man named Professor Mindheimer and Frank Dreban makes a huge problem of laughter in his part. Meanwhile, while Frank Dreban's saving the case, he lets Nordberg go undercover; although, it's funnier to laugh at what he does now than before. The Zucker brothers and the gang are doing good as they make a funny sequel not like they did for an Airplane sequel. Let's hope Frank Dreban could save the day once again as he did before.

Scary scenes.
6 June 2024
The sequel to Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure is not bad, but just has some scenes that are out of control in the movie. Like meeting time in a deadly way, Bill and Ted now has two other Bill and Ted's that were made out of robots and are off to destroy the real Bill and Ted's lives. Kind of like before, they try to have a rock concert just not a history test, but when the evil ones take over, Bill and Ted try to save their lives and career. Interesting as it may seem, they both meet a druid who tries to help them along. The first Bill and Ted movie that brings them for the first time in Hell.

Beetlejuice (1988)

Tim Burton has improved.
5 June 2024
A better improvement than directing Frankenweenie when he directs a movie that is about the title, but mostly shows the title character at the end of the film. That's right, Beetlejuice. I wonder if Michael Keaton, who plays the ghost laughing character feels good inside. It's about Geena Davis and Alec Baldwin who play a married couple who were driving back home after stopping to get something. Suddenly, they crash in a barn and fall off into the river and drown. After that, they become ghosts and an all star cast moves into the new house. Davis and Baldwin try to contact Beetlejuice to get it back.

A good recommendation for Murphy fans.
5 June 2024
Fine performance by Eddie Murphy playing Axel Foley. Though, all of the credit isn't just given to Murphy. Beverly Hills Cop also is well prepared by showing jokes, action and a mystery story, too. A mixture of entertainment; not to mention a good story altogether. Actor-comedian Eddie Murphy plays a Detroit cop who refuses to mind his own business about a case that doesn't concern him. His best friend Mikey gets shot for no good reason. Axel ends up moving to Beverly Hills getting fired. At first, it's sort of a nightmare for him, but not until he shows off. Nice and mostly fun Eddie Murphy movie.

Good narration by Issac Hayes.
5 June 2024
Pretty amusing movie that is based on a true story. Though, there are some boring scenes here and there. The movie talks about a married couple (Nicholas Cage and Rosie Perez) who just won the lottery. They were supposed to get $8 million dollars, though, somebody else had the same lotto numbers as they did. So, they split it up to $4 million instead. Meanwhile, after the cop (Cage) didn't have enough money to pay a waitress, the next day he splits the $4 million and gives her $2 million dollars. Without the narration, you get familiar with the picture in a nice and organized way. You only get to see Hayes in just two seconds.

48 Hrs. (1982)
8/10
48 HRS. is wildly filled with lots of good violence.
5 June 2024
A stressed out looking cop named Cates (Nick Nolte) lets one mean criminal (Eddie Murphy) out of bars, for just two days, so that Reggie (Murphy) could identify a killer named Ganz (James Remar). They both work as a team. Though, after this particular case is over with, Reggie wishes to get the $500,000 that he's been hoping to get in Ganz' trunk. Good ideas whenever a gun pops out on the screen; even good memorable scenes from the enjoyment captured by Murphy. For instance, there is a scene when both Cates and Reggie go to a bar so they could find clues to identify Ganz. Now, a group of rednecks are at the bar, too. Well, Murphy takes all the freshness into a speech read from a memorable scene in 48 HRS. That scene wouldn't have made Eddie Murphy become so famous.

There is at least a story.
5 June 2024
It is better than the gloomy, boring, dreadful, dark, hellhole movie Batman Returns. Tommy Lee Jones is very good in the movie. Jim Carrey is enjoyable and funny. Joel Schumacher is a good director; the cinematography isn't bad. The evil characters hideouts are very unique with nice, creative and colorful views of their world. The Caped Crusader (now played by Val Kilmer) tries to defeat his enemy Two Face (Tommy Lee Jones). Later on, he tries to defeat the Riddler (Jim Carrey); he defeats the Riddler because of knowing that he is the man he worked with named Edward, who could read your mind with his brain waves device. Bruce even falls in love with Dr. Chase Meridian (Nicole Kidman)--though, he also realizes (near the end) that a circus performer (Chris O' Donnell) is going to become his new partner named Robin.

Weird looking comedy.
4 June 2024
This is like saying the movie is called National Lampoon's Haunted House when two yuppies (Chevy Chase and Diane Moore) decide to go to Atlantic City with two other friends. On their way, they get pulled over by a cop (John Candy) and get brought into a old looking house in a town called Valkenvania and end up meeting a psycho judge (Dan Aykroyd) that leads them to a terrible weekend on what you wouldn't call your average vacation. To tell you the truth, Dan Aykroyd directed this insane tour around the house that shows how insane and strange anybody would want to direct or be a part of a movie quite like this one. The movie contains a hip hop band that sing All Around the World Same Song.

I guess it's time to save the city.
4 June 2024
Those cops are back in the sixth Police Academy movie. When a gang of misfits try to steal jewelry and put a city in hostage on the bus route, the Academy tries to track them down. Meanwhile, when the mayor is disappointed of what's going on, the Academy realizes that the mayor is on the wrong side. If you've seen Police Academy 5 and thought that was pretty crummy, look at this movie and decide which one's better. Although, the only clue I could tell you is Police Academy 6: City Under Siege isn't just that it's boring to watch. Since the difference is that there's no laughs shown in the film.

Has a very interesting story to it.
4 June 2024
The fourth movie to the Police Academy collection, now is about Commandant Lassard who plans to make a program debut called Citizens on Patrol, which is really about new members join the Police Academy gang and do that so if there's too many crimes, than everybody would pair up to save different crimes so that they go from one place to another. Police Academy 4: Citizens on Patrol just isn't that perfect as the story might let you think it appears to be. If you have seen all the Police Academy movies so far, be sure to pick up this Police Academy movie when the gang follows Commandant Lassard.

Those wacky cops are back.
4 June 2024
After the other two Police Academy movies that hit first place in the box office, this Police Academy movie is pretty silly or out of control when it comes to slapstick. This time, Commandant Lassard (George Gaynes) and the rest of the gang on patrol decides to make a network that people who want to become officers could join in. Although, they have to train with other new members that just came in as well. Isn't a movie like this kind of crummy on slapstick? I would understand the first week the movie came out that it would hit first place since the other two movies did, but not the second week.

Trashy showing.
3 June 2024
Jim Varney stars as the comic Ernest character that's on T. V. a lot for Cerritos Auto Square. He stars in his first Ernest film that's really a rerun from Meatballs. Ernest P. Worrell is a bus driver or maybe an extra at camp who wants to be an actual camp counselor so he can be brave and daring there also. Speaking of being brave, he tries to save this crummy camp since a lot of years ago, Indians came to this land and return to the camp, but luckily, with a lot of extra crummy scenes, and a few silly scenes in the film, he tries to save the camp. I think it should be called Ernest Saves Camp.
