American Psycho (2000)
Great perfomance!
However, the script doesn't quite match Bale's intensity. Ellis's novel is a darkly satirical exploration of the American dream gone grotesquely wrong. It relentlessly skewers the superficiality and moral ambiguity of 1980s yuppie culture, using Bateman's escalating violence as a metaphor for the emptiness lurking beneath the materialistic facade. The film adaptation, however, dials back on the satire. The violence, while undeniably disturbing, lacks the same symbolic weight. Scenes that push the boundaries of taste in the novel feel gratuitous in the film, stripped of their context as a critique of societal ills.
Would watch again for sure!
Europa: The Last Battle (2017)
Great film!!!
You can tell who controls the mainstream, when this is hidden and not being mentioned anywhere like that. Remember the numbers 6 millions, fake af. But remember my friend Jay has been kicked out of 109 countries and its never his fault. So yea this is pretty much the film, exposing the typical jewry. The said event "Holocast" is such a industry, germany to this day still pays millions to jewz all around the world. I even want to be a jew now if thats the case.
Even if viewers disagree with the film's conclusions, it can prompt them to question their understanding of historical events and seek out additional information.
Jackie Brown (1997)
It feels like Blaxploitation but not quite
The beauty of Jackie Brown lies in its laid-back rhythm. Tarantino's signature sharp dialogue shines, but it's delivered with a cool nonchalance. Scenes linger on conversations about food, music, and the finer points of flight attendant life. These seemingly mundane exchanges reveal depths to the characters, their dreams, and their vulnerabilities. The now-iconic line, "My ass may be dumb but I ain't no dumbass," encapsulates this perfectly. Jackie may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but she's no fool, and her street smarts keep her one step ahead.
I just love how "blaxploitation" it feels like, but the man said it himself it's not a blaxploitation film.
Argylle (2024)
Fun to watch, but its just not a mathew vaughn film tbh
It is entertenaing however, it has wack writing, the only time it feels like an actual Mathew Vaughn film is at the last combat scene with his very interesting set design. Sadly, Argylle delivers a lukewarm experience, feeling like a generic spy flick that misses the mark on Vaughn's usual frenetic energy and clever humor.
What's most surprising is the lack of Vaughn's signature style. The action sequences, usually his forte, are forgettable CGI blurs. The over-the-top violence, present in Kingsman, is toned down here, leaving the action feeling strangely sterile. The humor, another Vaughn staple, is mostly absent. A few witty one-liners land, but the film leans more on slapstick and awkward banter that falls flat.
The cast tries their best to elevate the material. Howard is charming as the flustered author, but her character arc feels underdeveloped. John Cena, criminally underused, shows off some comedic chops in his limited screen time. Samuel L. Jackson delivers his usual charismatic performance, but even he can't save the script's bland dialogue.
Perhaps the most puzzling aspect is how unlike a Vaughn film Argylle feels. The vibrant, comic book aesthetic of Kingsman is replaced by a muted color palette and a generic European spy movie vibe. The film lacks the heart and outrageous moments that made Vaughn's previous works so memorable.
But once again Argylle isn't a complete disaster. There are moments of fun to be had, especially in the chemistry between Howard and Rockwell (who plays a delightfully eccentric fellow spy). But overall, it feels like a missed opportunity. Vaughn's talents are wasted on a forgettable script and a lack of the directorial flourishes that made his name. Argylle is a middling spy flick, a pale imitation of the director's past works, leaving you wanting something with a bit more flavor.
Scarface (1983)
Good movie however
If I directed this movie I would've gotten a real Cuban for that. I know Al Pacino tried to mimic the accent I give him the props but still its not so good its very exaggerated/stylized. Definitely needs a spin-off with a real Cuban like Laz Alonso because he's Bilingual and I would love for the characters to speak more Cuban Spanish throughout the movie not just words or minimal phrases just like the actual movie!
Siu Lam juk kau (2001)
I usually don't like sports movie
But holy crap this movie was so different when I first watched it back in 02' amazing. The director is really great. Good VFX lots of comedy, and the acting was very good, not amazing but good.
Heart Shot (2022)
I liked it but the writing felt weak
This one is weird, because it feels not finished or well polished. I feel like they should make another one where every concept feels tighter and more full.
Bound by Honor (1993)
I love this film but there's a lot that could've been done better
I love the story and everything, but I wish it was shorter, there's also lots of continuity errors, there's a scene that you can see the microphone. Such a shame we never got a 1080p or 4K release!
