Julia Louis-Dreyfus is the only person to win this category twice in the past 12 years. However, those Emmys came for different programs (“New Adventures of Old Christine,” 2006; “Veep,” 2012), leaving Patricia Heaton as the last multiple champ for the same character (Debra Barone on “Everybody Loves Raymond” in 2000 and 2001). Following Heaton on the roster of champs were Jennifer Aniston (“Friends”), Debra Messing (“Will and Grace”), Sarah Jessica Parker (“Sex and the City”), Felicity Huffman (“Desperate Housewives”), Louis-Dreyfus, America Ferrera (“Ugly Betty”), Tina Fey (“30 Rock”), Toni Collette (“United States of Tara”), Edie Falco (“Nurse Jackie”), Melissa McCarthy (“Mike and Molly”), and Louis-Dreyfus. Amy Poehler has submitted her wedding episode (“Emergency Response/Les...

The cast of Fox's book-to-tv adaptation of Lauren Oliver's Delirium is currently assembled and working on the show, but there are still a few new details to be learned from the series yet! Thanks to detective work done by the folks at Delirium.net and some generous Instagramming by the show's male lead Daren Kagasoff, the pilot's director has been revealed to be Rodrigo Garcia. Garcia has gobs and gobs of executive producing experience, but he's also directed a few series, including Carnivale, Six Feet Under, In Treatment, Christine and Blue. So, Karyn Usher's script adaptation is in good hands. Meanwhile, as scooped by Bibliofiend, it'll be Delon de Metz who handles the "bad guy" role of Hana's fiance and future Portland mayor Frederi ....

Do you remember “New Christine” from The New Adventures of Old Christine? That actress‘s name is Emily Rutherfurd and she’s bringing the laughs with her as she guest stars on Raising Hope on Fox. The very funny comedy will also welcome The Middle‘s Brian Doyle-Murray.
Emily Rutherfurd’s recent work also includes guest spots on Last Man Standing, Up All Night and Drop Dead Diva. Meanwhile, comedian Brian Doyle-Murray is a Saturday Night Live vet who not so long ago appeared in The Three Stooges film and on the CW’s Supernatural.
The two guest stars will appear on Raising Hope during a February sweeps two-part episode, said TV Line. The show revolves around Jimmy and Sabrina’s honeymoon trip to Hollywood. Sounds awesome, right? Well, it isn’t so terrific when the entire Chance family decides to tag along with them. I can see it now:...

The New Adventures of Old Christine‘s Emily Rutherfurd and The Middle‘s Brian Doyle-Murray will guest-star on Fox’s Raising Hope during a February sweeps two-parter, when the Chance family tags along to Hollywood for Jimmy and Sabrina’s honeymoon.
TVLine has learned exclusively that Rutherfurd will portray Kelly, the daughter of one of Maw Maw’s dead husband’s mistresses — thus making her Virginia’s kinda-sorta aunt. Maw Maw and Barney visit Kelly’s home while the family is in the Golden State.

The ever-expanding world of webisodes has hit a new high with Christine, a 12-part series that chronicles one woman's search for love via speed dating. But the America Ferrera-fronted vehicle is so much more than a series of first date faux pas. At its core, Christine is a character piece of the highest order as each seven minute "episode" takes the audience and both halves of this date on a journey of self-discovery.
ETonline sat down with Ferrera to talk about her first foray into online content, what attracted her to the project and why there's a little piece of Christine in all of us.
ETonline: What appealed to you about Christine?
America Ferrera: First and foremost, the biggest attraction for me was Rodrigo Garcia, the writer/director. When he reached out to me, I was very interested. Then I read the script and was even more intrigued. I was excited...

In real life, America Ferrera found love with Ryan Piers Williams, a movie producer whom she married in June of 2011.
But in the new web series "Christine," America plays Christine, a young, single woman trying to find Mr. Right during a busy evening of speed dating.
In the 12-part series, which airs on a new YouTube channel called "Wigs," Ferrera's character struggles with her confidence while meeting man after man.
And according to the series' star, America Ferrera, Christine realizes she wants different things from different men. "With each guy that sits in front of Christine, the relationship becomes something completely different...and unexpected," she said. "And I think she's taken by surprise by it and so are the men that are sitting across from her."
Those "men" include Eric Balfour ("The O.C"), Gary Dourdan ("CSI: Crime Scene Investigation") and Martin Starr ("Freaks and Geeks").
