After two seasons of relentlessly grim Arrow, we all welcomed Flash with open arms, rejoicing in its optimism and joy. Sure, there were some quibbles and wobbles, but it was still eminently entertaining with an appealing cast.
Then came season three. I do not understand DC’s fixation with Flashpoint, a miniseries that really doesn’t hold up to examination and was not only the cornerstone for this misfire of a season but will also be felt in the first Flash feature film. The repercussions of Barry’s rash decision at the end of season two, to race back in time and save his mother’s life, had substantial impact on his life and those of others in his world. Then, when he tried to fix it, other changes happened and he spent most of the season moping.

While there’s no shame in saying the cliffhanger that The Flash season 3 left us on will make enduring the summer hiatus difficult, it’s probably safe to assume that very few of us think Barry Allen is gone for good. As you should recall, he willingly entered the Speed Force in the closing moments of “Finish Line” to atone for the guilt that has accompanied him since creating Flashpoint.
In the time since, a fraction of the fanbase has theorized that Wally West, currently Kid Flash, will step up by becoming Central City’s top superhero. Admittedly, there’s nothing wrong with thinking this could pan out because not only has Wally been promoted in the comics before, but he was also the one and only Flash in the TV show’s world of Flashpoint.

After three years of similar speedster villains, it was confirmed a while ago that The Flash season 4 would see the Fastest Man Alive face off against a different type of opponent. But who could it be? Well, we might now have the answer.
TV Line are reporting that Clifford DeVoe Aka The Thinker will be the big bad of next season. Though it’s an unsubstantiated report, with only unnamed “sources” referenced, we have a feeling that the site is on the level with this one. After all, they were right on the money with the identity of Supergirl season 3’s big bad, breaking the news a few days before the official reveal came from The CW, which told us that it’ll be Reign (as played by Odette Annable).
More than that, though, The Thinker has already been referenced a couple of times over the last season of the show.

Since its inception a few years back, The Flash has continually gripped fans by delivering a well-rounded viewing experience that capably blends superhero storytelling with crazy sci-fi action, riveting drama and a dash of comedy. Plus, it doesn’t shy away from its comic book roots in the slightest, effectively making the dreams of those who adore the source material come true on a weekly basis.
With its third season, the producers delved deeper into the books for inspiration, incorporating Flashpoint as a way of simultaneously changing the landscape and to show Barry Allen that there are consequences for his actions. Throughout it all, Cisco Ramon and Caitlin Snow finally embraced their destinies as Vibe and Killer Frost, respectively, while a new threat emerged in the form of Savitar, the self-proclaimed God of Speed.

The Flash has been quite the rollercoaster for season 3, pushing Barry into places he never thought he could go. The hero has been all over the place this season but one thing is certain, he’s done it all to himself. The Flash is one of the most laid back and fun characters that DC has to offer its fans, but in season 3, Barry hasn’t always been that lovable and selfless character everyone knows. From Flashpoint to Savitar, the character has done a lot of selfish things this year, which has really come back to haunt him, causing the

Although last night’s final showdown with Savitar was certainly one to remember, we can probably all breathe a sigh of relief knowing that The Flash is now putting the notion of having evil speedsters serving as its big bads behind it. And, as if there were any doubt, yet another teaser was dropped for who may very well be next year’s overarching villain.
If your memory serves you well, then you’ll remember that in the episode “Abra Kadabra” that aired a few months back, the titular villain casually mentioned a “DeVoe” in the same breath as Eobard Thawne and Hunter Zolomon, citing him as one of Barry Allen’s greatest nemeses. Well, in “Finish Line,” Savitar became the second villain with knowledge of the future to let that name slip, further strengthening the possibility that we’ll see the Thinker come this fall.

Season 3 was a rough year for The Flash, for the character himself and the show. The show wallowed in darkness far more than usual and as a result often felt like an entirely different and far less enjoyable story. Yet in the end of season 3, The Flash made strides to fix some of its tone problems and reconnected with the optimistic Barry Allen of the past, doing away with the miserable, broody model that has been around since "Flashpoint." The season finale, "Finish Line," was along those same lines and was a pretty solid ending to an inconsistent season. Then the last scene struck and everything changed.

Well, I have to hand it to the DC TV superhero universe. They sure do have some movement on their curve. Between the Supergirl season 2 finale and The Flash's Finish Line the CW has left us with two surprisingly ambiguous endings. But the ambiguity surrounding that Supergirl finale had more to do with other characters and the potential villain for next year. The Flash gave us something a little more immediately pressing... namely, the actual fate of our hero.
There are three massive questions to be answered here. I kind of have an idea of what's going on. Mostly.
Is Barry Allen dead?
What? No! Of course not. Don't you worry about a thing.

Savitar stabbed a member of the team in the penultimate episode of The Flash season 3. But as the season finale shows, there's more to what happens on Infantino Street than they originally thought.
As everyone will soon learn in "Finish Line," Savitar is just one problem they'll be facing. And just when they think they can breathe (and laugh and plan their futures), a bigger one pops up.

The debut trailer for Finish Line Games’ absurdist first-person adventure Maize is now online, revealing a bizarre world and an even crazier premise.
Maize is said to be an absurdist comedy based around unusual government conspiracies and offering up no shortage of weirdness. The trailer doesn’t give an awful lot away as far as gameplay or plot is concerned, but the Monty Python-esque tone is perfectly captured as we are introduced to a stalk of the sentient corn that will apparently play a very large part in the narrative.
The developer’s official synopsis explains as much:
Maize is a first-person adventure game about what happens when two scientists misinterpret a memo from the U.S. Government and create sentient corn. And that last sentence is pretty much the least ridiculous thing about the game.
The story will take place on a desolate farm which players will explore to...

It was also practically forgotten about until Toronto-based Finish Line Games decided to remaster its wreck-filled arenas with high definition visuals.
Cel Damage HD, as they call it, was originally released a couple of years ago as an exclusive for the PlayStation suite of consoles (and handheld). Said exclusivity was merely timed, though, as the game has now made its way to the Xbox One as a downloadable affair. As such, it’s essentially come home, and — in doing so — provides a look back at the history of the Xbox brand.

An innovative new film and TV script competition that emphasizes the art of the rewrite launched this week courtesy of two Hollywood veterans — a longtime literary manager turned script consultant and a well-known music and film producer Michael Patterson. The organizers behind the Finish Line Script Competition know that rewriting your screenplay or TV pilot is an essential and increasingly important part of the writing process. After you submit your screenplay or pilot to the competition, a seasoned script consultant can, if you choose, give you comprehensive development notes, after which you can resubmit your improved draft. This may continue for.

Read More: Sundance Announces Competition and Next Lineups, Featuring Returning Favorites and a Secret Director Getting the call from the Sundance Film Festival that your film has been accepted can be one of the most exhilarating moments indie filmmakers will ever experience, but it can also be one of the most sobering ones. With approximately two months between acceptance letters and premieres, filmmakers are faced with having to finish editing their films, completing sound design (including sound effects, score and mix) and mastering the picture (including color correction and special effects), often on a shoestring budget while over 100 other indies face the same deadline. Speeding to the Finish Line "The Sundance announcement is an especially hard win to fully enjoy,” said producer Alicia Van Couvering, whose Sundance-premiering credits include last year's "Cop Car" and "Digging For Fire." “You don't ever want to turn down a major festival, but...

Saying Goodbye to My WifeLast Monday was brutal. I knew from day one that Alexa and I might not make it to the finals together – and that when that happened it would be rough – but I just wasn't expecting it to be last week.
In my head, it was going to maybe happen this week. So, I had been mentally preparing for that. Lex had such a great night on Monday and really let herself be vulnerable. I was so happy for her,...

Hey there creeps! Remember when I gave ya the skinny on the new splatter gem Condemned — a flick containing more bodily fluids than a couch in the San Fernando Valley? Well, guess what? The flicks die-rector, Eli Morgan Gesner, just strolled on into the Crypt o’ Xiii for a lil’ chittin’ and chattin’!
Famous Monsters. Condemned is vile, disgusting, perverse, and absolutely 100% awesome! How did you come up with such a heady ghoul-ash?
Eli Morgan Gesner. The main idea was to make a New York City horror film. In my opinion, this is one of the most challenging ideas possible. Most horror films have their foundation in isolation — a cabin in the woods, lost on the Texas plains, Antarctic research base, etc. Essentially, there’s no one to come and help once the s–t hits the fan. In New York City, once the s–t hits the fan, everyone...

If you had asked me to name 100 titles that could have possibly been the recipient of an HD re-release, I’m not sure Cel Damage would have crossed my mind at all. Originally released for the Xbox back in 2001, the cartoonishly violent vehicular combat title quickly faded from public conscience following its release, much like the genre itself has over time. Regardless of whether or not anyone asked for it though, Finish Line Games has decided to resurrect the Cel Damage and bring it to a whole new audience on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.
Cel Damage HD centers around a destruction derby show on the fictional Toon TV network, and tasks each player with getting behind the wheel as one of its actors. Whether it be Sinder, the demon who got thrown out of hell, or Fowl Mouth, a duck that acts like a 1930s B-movie star, there...

The 2014 Boston Marathon is currently underway, marking the first marathon since the Boston Marathon bombings, killing three and injuring over 200.
The marathon began at around 9 a.m. E.T, with a moment of silence to remember the victims of the bombings and two firefighters who recently passed.
Post by The Boston Marathon.
Though the official anniversary of the Boston Marathon bombings was April 15, the return to the Boston Marathon marks an emotional day for Bostonians. On April 21, a reported 36,000 people will participate in the Marathon, a number up 9,000 from the normal 27,000 allowed. The huge number of added participants will be made up of the 5,600 people who were unable to cross the finish line last year, who have all been invited to return to the race, those who were injured in the bombings and their family, first responders and runners who are participating to raise money for charity.
