After almost a year of radio silence, we have some good news to report about Leverage: Redemption.
The fan-favorite reboot has been renewed for a third season, which is set to air in 2024.
There is a significant change on the horizon for the series.
It will no longer be a Freevee original and has been shifted to Prime Video for the next season.
No reason for the change in streaming home has been given, but it's probably thanks to the devoted audience that has embraced the show since it premiered in July 2021.
Reboots are tricky to pull off, with many imploding once the initial curiosity factor wears off.
But fans have connected with this revamped series, thanks to its featuring many franchise veterans and new characters to tell a different story.

“Leverage: Redemption” has been renewed for Season 3, but will be changing platforms. The first two seasons aired on Amazon’s Freevee, but Season 3 will debut on sister streamer Prime Video in 2024 instead.
The move is significant, as “Leverage: Redemption,” a revival of the TNT series “Leverage,” was one of the major scripted titles available on Freevee. The show was ordered to series in 2020, when Freevee was still branded as IMDb TV. Freevee’s biggest scripted series at present is “Bosch: Legacy,” while a spinoff of that show was recently ordered at Prime Video as well.
The first two seasons of “Leverage: Redemption” are currently available to stream on Freevee, as is “Leverage” via Electric Entertainment’s Fast Channel and on-demand.
“Fans have been devoted to ‘Leverage: Redemption’ since the series premiered on Freevee,” says Lauren Anderson, head of AVOD; unscripted and targeted programming for Amazon MGM Studios. “Every season has...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Leverage: Redemption Season 2.] Did the Leverage: Redemption Season 2 finale, in its last moments, set up the next job we’ll see the crew pulling off? Hardison (Aldis Hodge) videos in from the space station where he’s been for most of the season to reveal that the guys who sent him up there forgot about him and can’t launch a rocket for a rendezvous for two months. But he has a solution: The others can come get him! Sophie (Gina Bellman), Parker (Beth Riesgraf), Eliot (Christian Kane), Harry (Noah Wyle), and Breanna (Aleyse Shannon) make excuses and walk out… leaving Hardison to call after them. He can’t take another freeze-dried meal, he insists, plus he’s missed three DC movies (a nice nod to Hodge’s role as Hawkman in Black Adam) and doesn’t even know who’s fighting whom. Everyone, of course, comes back, eager to start...

Find out by revisiting Sophia Takal‘s 2019 remake of Black Christmas. Starring Imogen Poots, Aleyse Shannon, Lily Donoghue, Brittany O’Grady, Caleb Eberhardt, and Cary Elwes, the Blumhouse slasher takes an ambitious detour away from Bob Clark’s iconic slasher whodunnit that set the bar for holiday horror back in 1974.

The show follows the Leverage crew made up of the Grifter, the Hitter, the Thief and the Hacker, as they seek to make the world a better place by using each of their talents to level the playing field in the world where the rich and powerful normally get away their crimes.
Beth Riesgraf, who plays Parker, and Aleyse Shannon, who plays Breanna Casey, recently sat down for a conversation with uInterview founder Erik Meers and they revealed that there was a lot of singing going on on set.
“I can tell you what our favorite song was,” Shannon began before launching into a little jingle of “Beth and Aleyse day on set.”
“Basically, every time we get to work together, we do a happy dance and it varies,” Riesgraf added. “I go out of key because she can sing like a freaking angel.

The Lena Waithe-penned film about a young singer on the brink of stardom hiding a relationship with her best friend stumbles with too many wrong notes
Beauty, a coming-of-age music drama written by Lena Waithe and directed by Andrew Dosunmu, purports to tell the story of a fictional young singer in early 1980s New Jersey on the brink of stardom. She is tall, willowy and black, frequently clad in shoulder pads and bright colors, first seen smoking a joint in her bedroom that her older brother warns will damage her voice – a voice which, we’re told, is once in a generation, though we never hear it. Beauty (Gracie Marie Bradley), as she’s oddly called, frequently sings, but the film layers background music or silence over her voice, keeping it at a remove. It’s a central void emblematic of a hollow film which has little to say about anyone or anything,...

The protagonist of the new Netflix film written by Lena Waithe, Beauty, is an enigma. Her facial expressions are no compass for her feelings. Her eyes stay wide, lips perpetually parted. Tonal variations are scarce too: Grace Marie Bradley, the actress who plays the titular character, delivers her lines in a husky, suggestive whisper. It’s difficult to tell how intentional all this mystery is, which makes the occasional raised eyebrow, playful smirk or tear streaming down the face hard to interpret.
You wonder: Who is Beauty? Is she simply a sheltered girl groomed by domineering parents for stardom? A young adult navigating the bounds of a secret relationship with her girlfriend? A gifted singer exclusively interested in honing her musical talents?

The fantasy, power, and impact of the music industry has been well-documented in motion pictures. This very minute, audiences can go to a theater and learn all about the highs and lows of musical icon Elvis Presley. It’s difficult to craft something original from a world littered with as many success stories as horror stories, many of them already told (and told again) on screens both big and small.
And it’s even more difficult to do that when your main character — presented as a generational talent deserving of her own cinematic event — never actually sings a song. Such is the case with screenwriter Lena Waithe’s new Netflix musical drama “Beauty.” Though heavily inspired by the life of Whitney Houston, enough that it may well qualify as something of an unauthorized biopic of the massive musical star,

Let’s go steal a second season! Actually, that’s already been done. Yes, that’s right: Our favorite bad guys are coming back. IMDb TV has renewed Leverage: Redemption. While you wait, you can catch up on all 16 episodes of Season 1 and all five seasons of the original series, Leverage (2008-2012 on TNT) on Amazon’s premium free streaming service. The new iteration reunited most of the original team — Gina Bellman’s Sophie Devereaux (The Grifter), Beth Riesgraf’s Parker (The Thief), Christian Kane’s Eliot Spencer (The Hitter), and Aldis Hodge’s Alec Hardison (The Hacker) — and brought in a couple new members in Noah Wyle’s Harry Wilson and Aleyse Shannon’s Breanna Casey. Together, they’re still taking down the rich and powerful who take what they want. At the end of Season 1, Harry left the crew behind, so we’ll have to see if he’ll be back.

Originally slated for a 2021 release, the Netflix folks appear to have switched their strategy on Andrew Dosunmu‘s fifth feature film. A long time member of the the Sundance Film Fest it would make all the sense in the echo-system if Beauty premieres in Park City. More targets, more cons, and the same pros you know and love are back when Leverage: Redemption returns with the second half of its first season on IMDb TV on October 8. Grifter Sophie Devereaux (Gina Bellman), thief Parker (Beth Riesgraf), hitter Eliot Spencer (Christian Kane), maker (and hacker) Breanna Casey (Aleyse Shannon), and fixer Harry Wilson (Noah Wyle) are back, ready to take down more of the rich and powerful who take what they want in the trailer for the next eight episodes. Parker, in particular, is thrilled to jump off a building, of course. (We’ll have to wait to see how much we see of Aldis Hodge’s hacker Alec Hardison; he’s only recurring due to scheduling and appeared in two of the first eight episodes.) Also still around is Riz Security, the “well-dressed muscle for the rich and powerful.” We have a feeling they’re going...

“Leverage” returned on Friday in the form of the eight-episode revival, “Leverage: Redemption,” on the streaming service IMDb TV. But Timothy Hutton, whose character Nate Ford served as the center of the original TNT series, does not appear on screen.
“Leverage,” which ran for five seasons on TNT between 2008 and 2012, starred Hutton as a former insurance investigator who becomes the leader of the Robin Hood-esque gang of criminals who steal from the corrupt and powerful to avenge their victims. The original series ended with Nate (Hutton) and his new fiancée Sophie (Gina Bellman) walking away from the criminal life for good, handing the keys to their organization over to the rest of the crew.
The decision to exclude Hutton from the revival came after the Oscar-winning actor was accused of rape last year by former child actress Sera Johnston. Johnston told Buzzfeed that Hutton and a friend raped her at...

Leverage may not look the same, but the team is most definitely back!
IMDb TV picked up a reboot of the show, and the first eight episodes premiere Friday, July 9th!
WIth some old faces returning, we have the scoop on everything you need to know before the premiere!
The returning team features most of the prominent gang but lacks their leader Nate (Timothy Hutton).
Luckily, Leverage: Redemption provides fans with why Nate doesn't join them quite early in the season.
Another slight change, while still appearing in the show, is the limited appearances of Aldis Hodge's Hardison.
Hardison will still be making appearances, but because Aldis Hodge's work schedule has been crazy lately, he will no be in every episode.
While we will miss seeing Hardison each airing, we are glad that he could be in the show at all.

Hitter. Hacker. Grifter. Thief. Brains. For five seasons on TNT, “Leverage” followed four lone wolf criminals — led by former insurance investigator, Nathan Ford (Timothy Hutton) — turned crew of Robin Hoods, fighting corporate and government injustices inflicted upon everyday people. Using their individual skills as a team to steal from the deceitful and remorseless rich and powerful, the Leverage crew’s motto was simple: “Sometimes bad guys make the best good guys.”
Nine years after its original run, “Leverage” is returning (on Amazon’s IMDb TV) with “Leverage: Redemption.” In this continuation series, the Leverage crew has to adjust to the new world order of the rich and powerful, who are even more ruthless — and getting away with even more heinous crimes — than before. Hitter Eliot Spencer (Christian Kane), hacker Alec Hardison (Aldis Hodge), grifter and now also brains Sophie Devereaux (Gina Bellman), and thief Parker (Beth Riesgraf) have all returned for “Leverage: Redemption.

If you’ve ever seen Aleyse Shannon act, you’ll probably have a hard time believing that she just made her first on-screen appearance in 2018. In what feels like no time at all, Aleyse went from an unknown actress to one of the stars of the Charmed reboot. Her impressive on-screen presence and commanding energy quickly made it clear that she had some serious star power. Although her time on Charmed was relatively short-lived, Aleyse hasn’t slowed down. She will be in an upcoming TV series called Leverage: Redemption and her fans are excited to see her on their screens again.

IMDb TV, Amazon’s free-streaming video service, has ratcheted up its spending on original content — and more broadly, the e-commerce giant is trying to make the case to Madison Avenue that it has amassed a huge audience for ad-supported video content.
