Bad news for fans of chivalry! Knightfall has been canceled by History after two seasons. This was all but a foregone conclusion as Knightfall’s second and final season concluded on May 13, 2019 and there have not been any updates on Knightfall season 3 since. Now History has made the cancellation official, according to Deadline.
The writing was on the wall for History’s Middle Ages epic even before the second season conclusion came and went without a renewal. Despite adding Mark Hamill (Star Wars) for its second season, Knightfall Season 2 featured a steep drop in ratings from its already ratings-challenged first season. According to the site TV Series Finale, Knightfall averaged a dismal 0.12 rating in the 18-49 demographic and attracted around only 650,000 viewers per episode total. That is a nearly 50% drop in viewers from the first season.
Bigger networks might be able to get away with attracting a hyper niche audience...

In season two, they quest for the truth and delve deeper into themes of global conspiracy, look at how UFOs have impacted the evolution of the nation’s military practices and technology and lean into the nostalgia of the 1950s.
Project Blue Book Season 2 concluded in March with Hynek searching for Quinn, who was blown to bits by an explosion.

It seems like a long time coming, but this week sees a return for the Knights Templars in season 2 of Knightfall in the UK. At the end of season one having fallen from grace, Landry (Tom Cullen) was battered and bruised from an almighty battle with King Philip (Ed Stoppard) and left holding his newborn child.
Knightfall chronicles the mysterious but true accounts of the Knights Templar, the elite warriors of the Crusades. It delves into the great secrets protected by the Templars and tells the story of faith, loyalty and brotherhood that help sustain these warriors on the battlefield and the dark events that would forever sear the infamous date of Friday the 13th into the world’s psyche.
At eight episodes, Season 2 promises even more low points for Landry as he finds himself on a path to redemption. No longer a Knights Templar he finds himself at the...

History’s drama series “Knightfall” will return with its second season — which includes Mark Hamill — on Monday, March 25 at 10 p.m. Et/Pt, A + E Studios announced during the Television Critics Association press tour Sunday. But if you can’t wait that long to see Hamill trade in his lightsaber for a Medieval sword, you’re in luck, because History also dropped the Season 2 trailer.
The 2-minute, 16-second video teases Hamill’s debut as Talus, a battle-hardened Knight Templar veteran and initiate master who is tasked with preparing the next generation of men to proudly wear the red cross on their chests and become “God’s Executioners.” Based on the trailer, it seems Talus oscillates between giving out sage advice, and punching people.

The eternal war isn’t a battle one can easily walk away from. That’s a truth that dawns on Selene (Kate Beckinsale) in today’s all-new clip for Underworld: Blood Wars.
Hailing from Games Radar, here we see Beckinsale’s ancient hero having a heated exchange with Theo James’ David, who informs our kick-ass protagonist that her wayward daughter Eve has become a target for the Lycans, who want nothing more than to use her precious blood to empower their newfound leader, Marius. Selene may be finished with this war, but it’s certainly not finished with her.
Also starring Tobias Menzies, Trent Garrett, Lara Pulver, Clementine Nicholson, Bradley James and Game of Thrones alum Charles Dance, Underworld: Blood Wars represents the first entry in the cult franchise to be directed by Anna Foerster. A change of guard is arguably the one thing that the series was crying out for,...

I previously called Underworld: Blood Wars "Game of Thrones with vampires" due to its cast but we're getting close to parody with Tywin Lannister telling Selene to go North towards a wall of ice. Kate Beckinsale is back for a fifth time as the Lycan hunter, this time directed by Anna Foerster. It's set to hit theaters on January 6, 2017 and Donna Dickens and I agree we'll see it no matter how "bad" it is. It's still good trashy fun. If I'm being honest, I don't even remember what happened in the last one but I'm sure they'll give a quick catch-up at the beginning of this one anyway. Scott Speedman is not reprising his role as Michael this time; instead they've recast him with Trent Garrett. Underworld: Blood Wars also stars Game of Thrones actors Charles Dance and Tobias Menzies as well as Sherlock’s Irene Adler, Lara Pulver, and Theo James.

For aeons, the Lycans and the Vampires have waged war with one another – a seemingly eternal battle that has, to date, fuelled four tentpole installments in the Underworld franchise. That latest entry in Screen Gems’ cult series, Awakening, didn’t fare terribly well with critics or fans, hence why the release of next year’s Underworld: Blood Wars is being held up as a return to form.
At least, that’s the idea. Acting as the directorial debut of franchise newcomer Anna Foerster, Blood Wars heralds the return of Kate Beckinsale as Selene, the age-old Vampire Death Dealer who wages war with just about everyone in sight in today’s first-look trailer. Unless you’ve done your homework on the Underworld lore, you’d be forgiven for feeling a little confused coming out of the sizzle reel, but it does tee up an intriguing dynamic between Beckinsale’s hardened lead...

Kate Beckinsale's return as Selene in Underworld: Blood Wars will now take place in the winter rather than the fall.
According to Box Office Mojo, Underworld: Blood Wars will be released by Screen Gems on January 6th, 2017. The film was previously slated to come out on October 14th, 2016.
A Lakeshore Entertainment film, Underworld: Blood Wars stars Beckinsale back in her role as the highly skilled vampire Selene, with Theo James once again playing David and Charles Dance returning as the vampire elder Thomas. Bradley James (Damien, iZombie) also plays a key role in the fifth Underworld film, which is directed by Anna Foerster from a screenplay by Cory Goodman (The Last Witch Hunter, Priest):
"Theo James (The Divergent Series) returns as Selene’s ally David, reprising the role he played in Underworld: Awakening. British actors Tobias Menzies (“Outlander”, “Rome”) and Lara Pulver (“Sherlock”) take on the respective roles...

Kate Beckinsale’s triumphant return as Selene has been postponed, now that Screen Gems has opted to nudge Underworld: Blood Wars back three months and into 2017.
Once on course to scurry into theaters in time for October 14, 2016, the horror sequel (franchise revival?) has now been delayed until January 6, 2017.
Beckinsale is in line to return as the famed Vampire Death Dealer for the franchise’s fifth installment, rubbing shoulders with Divergent breakout Theo James as they navigate the historic battle between vampires and werewolves. Last time we saw the actress take point as the series’ badass lead she had reached the ripe old age of 632. That was Underworld: Awakening in 2012, though Screen Gems will surely be aiming for a more effective sequel in time for 2017.
This time around, it is Anna Foerster who will call the shots from behind the lens. Best known for helming episodes of Criminal Minds and Outlander,...

Welcome the Next Generation. Screen Gems and Lakeshore Entertainment have formally announced that Underworld 5 will leap from the shadows and into theaters later this year bearing the title Underworld: Blood Wars. Series stalwart Kate Beckinsale returns as Selene, a Death Dealer and a Vampire-Corvinus hybrid, when the long-gestating sequel opens on October 12, 2016.
Steering Screen Gems’ horror sequel toward a theatrical release is director Anna Foerster – best known for helming various episodes of both Criminal Minds and Outlander – and she’ll be overseeing a starry ensemble cast that comprises Tobias Menzies and Sherlock alum Lara Pulver as a formidable Lycan leader and tenacious vampire, respectively. Foerster is no stranger to the blockbuster space, though, having served as director of photography all across Independence Day, The Day After Tomorrow and White House Down.
