Dan Reynolds (Daniel Coulter Reynolds) is an American singer and songwriter best known as the lead singer of Las Vegas-based Grammy Award-winning pop rock band Imagine Dragons. In their budding days, Imagine Dragons won local competitions, including Battle of the Bands, and currently, the band is considered one of the most successful bands with chart-hogging albums and tracks. Though his rise to fame is linked to making music with Imagine Dragons, Dan Reynolds...

Imagine Dragons frontman Dan Reynolds used his band’s Top Rock Artist win at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards to blast conversion therapy. Reynolds has been an outspoken advocate of Lgbtq+ rights, particularly in his own Mormon community, and was behind the HBO documentary “Believer” which exposes the painful ostracization and hatred of gay people in the Lds church. In March, it won a GLAAD Award for Best Documentary.
Taking to the stage at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena, Reynolds stated, “There are 34 states that don’t ban conversion therapy,” referring to the pseudo-science that attempts to change a person’s sexual orientation from homosexual or bisexual to heterosexual using psychological or spiritual means. “Our Lgbt youth have doubled the rate of depression, tripled the rate of suicide after conversion therapy,” he continued. “It’s not working and needs to change.”

Imagine Dragons’ latest album Evolve has no demons to hide — because frontman Dan Reynolds took a very “colorful” approach this time around.
“This record is very colorful,” he told People during the band’s concert live stream at YouTube Space in Los Angeles on Tuesday to promote their new album Evolve and upcoming tour. “Lyrically, I was in a really healthy headspace writing it, and then sonically we wrote from a more minimalistic approach.”
“I think this record was written after we had taken our first break as a band,” he continues. “I think that’s significant because during that...

Something tells me that I wasn’t the only one tuning in to Tuesday’s Knockout Rounds for The Voice with a certain amount of trepidation — and by “something,” I mean, of course, the comments that followed Monday’s recap. So many of the coaches’ decisions on Night 1 of the Knockouts defied logic that I — and you, too, it seemed — wanted to recommend that they all get their hearing checked. Alicia Keys dropping Lilli Passero in favor of Ashley Levin? Adam Levine keeping Josh West over Johnny Hayes? Quizz Swanigan getting stolen but not Felicia Temple? My head still hurts...

Eight years ago, Dan Reynolds was on the cusp of stardom — but his health was in turmoil.
Reynolds, the frontman of Grammy-award winning band Imagine Dragons, tells People that at age 21 he began to experience “debilitating” pain that forced him to cancel shows.
“It was beyond the pain that you feel when it’s just a back ache. It felt like someone was drilling my nerves,” he says. “It was right when the band was starting to have minor success — we were starting to sell out small clubs, and we were playing these very active shows and it started to...

Before we even leave the driveway with this review, let’s establish a few things. I saw trailer for Project Almanac late last year, around autumn, and was utterly appalled by how vapid the film looked. A found footage film about a group of high school teens who make a fantastic discovery that changes their life for the better but then for the worse? I mean, the plot synopsis itself isn’t that distinctive but by pairing it with the found footage aesthetic, Project Almanac was doomed to be compared to the surprise hit Chronicle and the trailer did it no favors by following the exact same beats as the Chronicle trailer did. Worse, the time travel plot was so clearly going down the same route as The Butterfly Effect, I would’ve bet a c-note on it. I had zero interest in the film and so, when I went in to see it,...

The found footage genre is a peculiar one. It rests its laurels on building realism through the urgency and immediacy of the filmed footage. However, quite often, the characters in these films go to such extreme lengths to shoot this footage that one wonders why they are committing to capturing so much extraneous material. Every so often, a genre film will use the recordings in a chilling or original way. However, much of the time, having a character record all of the events on a video camera comes off as a contrived gimmick. The only way a film of this sort can be successful is if the story would not have worked as effectively with a regular, multi-camera staging.
The biggest problem with Project Almanac, a new sci-fi drama aimed at teens, is how rarely its writers convince us that the story should be told through the immediate presence of a video camera.
