Can it really be 20 years since “The O.C.” premiered on Fox? The young actors of the series, Benjamin McKenzie, Adam Brody, Mischa Barton and Rachel Bilson quickly became in-demand stars and the theme song “California” by Phantom Planet became a top ten hit in several countries while also reaching 35 on Billboard’s Alternative Airplay chart.
The bagel-centric series also introduced us to “Chrismukkah” and showcased bands from The Killers to Modest Mouse.
Several members of the cast went on to lead their own series and films and others have popped up on hit shows from “How I Met Your Mother” to “Grey’s Anatomy.” Here’s what they’ve been up to since “The O.C.” signed off in February 2007.

On August 5, 2003, the Fox network premiered The O.C., a teen drama set against the lush backdrop of Newport Beach, California, about the chaos that ensues when wealthy lawyer Sandy Cohen (Peter Gallagher) takes Ryan Atwood (Ben McKenzie), a kid from the wrong side of the tracks, to live with his family in their huge McMansion. The show was an instant sensation, making stars out of McKenzie, Mischa Barton (as fragile Newport princess Marissa Cooper), Adam Brody (as Sandy’s nerdy son Seth), and Rachel Bilson (as Seth’s forever crush...

The TV industry has been rebooting shows for years, and while many fans are holding out hope for the return of The Oc, one of its stars doesn't believe it will happen.
Adam Brody, who played Seth Cohen on all four seasons of the former Fox primetime soap, reunited with co-stars Rachel Bilson and Melinda Clarke to talk about the show.
Bilson and Clarke launched a podcast earlier this year titled "Welcome to The Oc, B---es!" and they recap episodes of the show while talking about their time on the show.
The possibility of a reboot was talked about and Brody doesn't seem to think viewers would connect with a new iteration of the drama.
"I kind of don't think it can be done because socially we're in a different place and we're in a more conscious place," Brody declared.

Rachel Bilson and Adam Brody are taking fans of The O.C. right back where we started from. The 40-year-old actress and 41-year-old actor reunited on the Oct. 26 episode of her and Melinda Clarke's podcast Welcome to the Oc, Bitches!. From 2003 to 2007, Bilson and Brody played the famously on-again, off-again couple Summer Roberts and Seth Cohen on The O.C. And while it's been almost 15 years since the show ended, the co-stars—who dated Irl for three years—still have fond memories of working together. "Watching the show and, like, going back into that time and everything else, you really—I don't even know how to put this—you taught me how to act well,"...

Like Seth Cohen once told Summer Roberts, Rachel Bilson's allure is undeniable. Since her big break on The O.C. when she was just 21 years old, Bilson has managed to remain the relatable actress we all want to be friends with, whose closet we want to raid and the one we can't really blame our partners for wanting to be with. She's just, well, undeniable. And at 40 years old, Bilson is showing no signs of slowing down, unlike her iconic character, she isn't exactly suffering a rage blackout over the milestone birthday Aug. 25. "I'm having really mixed feelings, it's like, 'F--k, am I that old?!'" Bilson admitted in a recent phone interview with E! News,...

Please bear with me, because I'm going where no '90s baby has gone before. It's uncharted territory and quite possibly the most jarring position of devil's advocate that's ever been played, but I'm about to tell you why Seth Cohen was the f*cking worst on The O.C. If you don't want to ruin your perception of the so-called nice boy of Newport, I don't recommend reading further. But if you're ready to see the characters of your favorite early 2000s show in a whole new light, buckle up and enjoy the ride.

Unfortunately for her, Connor insists on having his girl on his arm, so Ava attends the party — wearing a fabulous dress, I might add — and runs into papa Rhodes.

Rachel Bilson can sing -- and she’s showing off her pipes on Nashville!
On Thursday’s episode of Cmt’s country music drama, titled “Farther On,” the 35-year-old actress showcases her hidden talent when her character, Silicon Valley marketing expert Alyssa Greene, reluctantly takes the stage at a local karaoke bar after some liquid courage. In Et’s exclusive sneak peek, Bilson steals the show when she croons Ray Charles’ classic ballad, “You Don’t Know Me,” leaving everyone speechless.
“My character might get drunk enough to [sing]. That might happen,” Bilson coyly told Et in July. “She’s not going to be belting out any country ballads, but she might have a tipsy tune in there somewhere.”

With revivals such as Gilmore Girls and Will and Grace being green lit, Rachel Bilson said she could potentially be interested in reprising her role as Summer Roberts if The O.C. were to be brought back as well. "I'm always open to things," Bilson told E! News. "I don't know what it would look like with our characters being old now. We were riding skateboards on the pier; I don't know what they do now as 30-year-olds. But it would be nice to see everybody again." But what would Summer be doing today? When one door closes, another one opens.
Just like the door closed on the Rayna Jaymes years on the mid-season finale of the Cmt hit, it's time for the series to adapt to a life without Connie Britton's alter ego.
If some of you are still on the fence about whether to stick with the series when it returns for Season 5B later this year, we have some casting scoop that will surely soften the blow of the loss of Rayna.
Rachel Bilson and Kaitlin Doubleday are tapped to appear in multiple episodes of the country music drama.
Most of you will probably know Bilson from her days as Summer Roberts on The O.C.
That show lasted for four seasons and featured the likes of Mischa Barton, Benjamin McKenzie and Adam Brody.
Barton then moved on to Hart of Dixie, which spanned four seasons. She's no stranger to primetime soaps,...

Not only did she make her pregnancy look way too easy - that monthlong vacation in Barbados may have had something to do with it - but Rachel has also managed to stay just as sweet, stylish, and adorable as she was when you first fell in love with her on The O.C. Since developing our collective Rachel Bilson crush back in the early 2000s, we've watched the actress transform from the tough, outspoken, and slightly snobby Summer Roberts to the fast-talking Zoe Hart on Hart of Dixie, and we've loved every minute in between. Rachel Bilson stepped out for a fun (and rare) appearance at the launch of Target's new Cat & Jack children's clothing line. The former Hart of Dixie star arrived in style sporting a Who What Wear printed dress at the event, which was held in Brooklyn Bridge Park in New York and also brought out Jenna Dewan Tatum, Camila Alves, and Blake Lively, who mingled with cute kids and snapped selfies with fans. Rachel has seemingly been staying out of the spotlight since giving birth to her daughter, Briar Rose, back in 2014. The last time she hit the red carpet was in August 2015, when she attended The Unauthorized O.C. Musical with show creator Josh Schwartz. While we don't get to see her (or her longtime love Hayden Christensen) very often, it's worth nothing that Rachel looks suspiciously the same as she did back in her Summer Roberts days.

The core four of "The O.C." -- Ryan Atwood, Marissa Cooper, Summer Roberts, and Seth Cohen -- dated around quite a bit, especially when it came to dating each other. While they hooked up with some winners, they also exhibited some terrible taste in significant others.
There were too many fake miscarriages, girlfriends that turned out to be a sister (but not by blood, thank heavens), and accidental murders. At least we know Seth and Summer got their happy ending.
Without further ado, here is the ranking of everyone the core four ever had as a romantic interest.
