New Queer’s Eve.
It’s been a pretty wild December, with us covering off-kilter films like the much-maligned Batman & Robin, the not-as-bad-as-you-think Wrong Turn 4: Bloody Beginnings and the Stephen Sondheim and Anthony Perkins-penned murder mystery The Last of Sheila. Now we’re wrapping up the year with a discussion of Carter Smith‘s Into the Dark entry “Midnight Kiss“!
In the film, a group of friends gather at a beautiful desert resort on New Year’s Eve, and play a game called Midnight Kiss, as is their tradition. The purpose of the game is for each of them to find someone with whom to start the New Year. When a killer tries to join in, relationships that are already stressed are further tested, and life itself becomes the prize.

Rina Sawayama is taking a leap of faith — and it’s thanks to her mother that she’s certain she won’t be left free-falling off the edge of a cliff. On her latest single “Catch Me in the Air,” the singer delivers a maternal ode to the cyclical, codependent nature of growing up with one parent who’s figuring it out as they go, urging: “Mama, look at me now, I’m flying.”
“I really wanted to write about this weird relationship with single parents,” Sawayama said in a statement.

Exclusive: Chester Lockhart (Todrick) and newcomer Brady Dalton Richards have joined the series-regular cast of the CW’s drama pilot Glamorous, from Damon Wayans Jr and his Two Shakes Entertainment, writer Jordon Nardino and CBS TV Studios. They join previously announced Brooke Shields, Ben Pierce, Peyton List and Susan Santiago.
Written by Nardino and directed by Eva Longoria in her pilot-directing debut, Glamorous centers on Marco (Pierce), a gender-nonconforming recent high school graduate who lands the gig of a lifetime interning at a cosmetics company whose products he panned on YouTube.

Richards is Ben, an insecure and endearing young assistant who develops a workplace crush on Marco.
Nardino, Wayans and Longoria executive produce. Two Shakes VP Development and Production Kameron Tarlow is co-executive producer.
