As an actual physician I can nitpick every medical show ever put on tv because...its TV PEOPLE! The stories here are touching with just enough seriousness and real life personal issues to make it interesting. If you want reality, go watch Real Stories of the ER or other " reality " tv shows( that crap is scripted too * spoiler alert *). I like the characters, the inclusion and the realism of how life can be complicated ( I had a family member in the exact same situation as Athena ). I am thoroughly entertained watching the show and it leaves me feeling happy after watching an episode. For the complainers too much accuracy about medical things complicate my day job. There is a reason some things are left out. The show ER made my work life a living hell for several years because people actually thought the show was accurate. Grow up, lighten up and just enjoy it. Sheesh...
