Welcome to this week’s All Elite Wrestling: Dark review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and I’m writing this out of order, so I can say a bit about the numerous accusations of sexual misconduct (to put it very lightly) from wrestlers all over the world. Just because there are a plethora of deviants in wrestling, that doesn’t mean you have to quit wrestling or be ashamed to watch it, but it does mean that it’s gonna leave a bad taste in your mouth for a while. As many pigs as there are in wrestling, it would seem we also have many who are good people as well. Jordan Devlin may be a monster, but Daniel Bryan (Bryan Danielson) seems to be a good man, by and large. Marty Scurll might be a scum-bag, but Jeff Hardy has a great reputation (his drug addiction...

So, if you’re a pro-wrestling dork like I am, and you like to entertain yourself from time to time with news, reviews, podcasts, discussions, quizzes, lists and debates from fans and wrestling personalities on the YouTube platform, then you’ll likely have your favourites. I do. So… at a time when consuming media, and YouTube in particular, is at an all time high, I thought it would be cool to highlight and talk about a handful of the best wrestling-based YouTube channels out there. Now… believe me, I’m not gonna list people I personally haven’t seen, and so I’ll likely miss some excellent channels out, but we can’t see ‘em all. Feel free to recommend us some.
Let’s go.

Welcome to this season finale of the National Wrestling Alliance’s Powerrr with a special called Super Powerrr. I’m Nathan Favel and you’re on Nerdly, which has been sheltering me ever since I escaped from prison for trying to kill Superman for wearing red underwear over his pants…Like The Doofus That He Is! In the name of the great crab god Metusukla, I hereby claim this review to be…Written!!!! Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahah!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Match #1: Kamille defeated Maddie Max
My Opinion: 2 out of 5 – Bill Cosby’s wife has to make the bail money some-how. Kamille! Kamille! I don’t want to be in prison! There’s no pudding for the pudding pop! There’s no Kodak film! Neither woman looked bad here, but I wanted more time on the clock, especially for a season finale match.

Welcome to this week’s Ring Of Honor review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have more from Free Enterprise, because it’s too difficult to tape a new two hour card and split it between two weeks’ worth of one hour shows. Bill Cobbs could kick Sylvester Stallone’s ass and we’re getting right to the action.
Match #1: Brody King def. Rey Horus The following is courtesy of rohwrestling.com:
Horus, one-third of the Roh World Six-Man Tag Team Champions, scored some near falls, but in the end the massive King hit a Gonzo Bomb to score an impressive win.
My Opinion: 3.4 out of 5 – This was a hearty fight between two tough guys who made a clash of styles work to their advantage. King is like a poor man’s Chris Hero, which isn’t a bad comparison to make at all. Rey...

Welcome to this week’s Nwa: Powerrr review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and this is a terrible show. You’ll see why in a second.
Match #1: Zicky Dice defeated Ricky Starks and Matt Cross – Triple Threat Match
My Opinion: 2.8 out of 5 – This went about three minutes and was starting to get good, but it got cut off at about three minutes. I’m not s——- you. This only went three minutes. Why even bother watching? What is this, 1985? Who would ever pay for a ticket to a show with a three minute match? The wrestling that did make it in to this flea-sized slit of a match was good, but you’d barely be able see any of it. This was good, but depressing.

Welcome to this review of Ring of Honor: Free Enterprise, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have Marty Scurll’s big free show to help save the league from looking lame. There’s some great wrestlers here…and Bateman. F—— Bateman. Okay, I wanna get right to it.
Match #1: Mark Haskins defeated Alex Shelley The following is courtesy of rohwrestling.com:
A back-and-forth battle between master technicians ended with Haskins forcing Shelley to submit to the Sharpshooter.
My Opinion: 3.8 out of 5 – This was some great stuff. The action was smooth, like fine tobacco. Smoke. Shelley and Haskins have a similar way of moving out in the ring that makes them mesh together really well. Smoke. Haskins got more out of beating Shelley than he did what’s his ass from Dudleyville. Welcome to this week’s Ring Of Honor review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have plenty of…okay, one match worth watching. Damn it.
Match #1: The Bouncers defeated Pj Black & Brian Johnson The following is courtesy of rohwrestling.com:
The Bouncers set up for Closing Time on Johnson, but Black stopped them by kicking Milonas, who was perched on the top rope. Black followed with a springboard stomp to Bruiser. Johnson grabbed a chair and was about to nail Bruiser with it, but Black took the chair away from him. Bruiser shoved Johnson into Black, knocking Black out of the ring. The Bouncers hit Closing Time on Johnson for the win.
My Opinion: 2.6 out of 5 – Do I have to watch this s—?! Actually, I like The Bouncers, but their matches are just hard to watch. Black was here though…poor bastard.

Welcome to this week’s Ring Of Honor review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have Mad Men, which is one of the worst things I’ve ever seen, along with The Wire. Those shows have some of the lousiest acting I’ve ever sat through. Why does modern Hollywood have no sense of humor? Jim Brewer should have been on The Wire…woulda saved that trainwreck. You put your left foot iiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnn! Okay, here comes Roh TV.
Match #1: Dalton Castle & Joe Hendry defeated Master & Machine The following is courtesy of rohwrestling.com:
In a backstage segment taped prior to the match, Castle and Hendry talked about getting on track as a team. Hendry said they are two of the best athletes in the sport and should be dominating the tag team division. Hendry fired up Castle and said it starts tonight. Match #1: Royce Isaacs defeated Andre Guhn
My Opinion: 2 out of 5 – This was two minutes of “hurry up damn it”. This match just wasn’t much to look at.
Match #2: (Main Event) Ricky Starks defeated Zicky Dice – TV Title Match
My Opinion: 2.8 out of 5 – This was a taste of what a match at length between these two can do. Why are we just getting a taste? Why not give us fifteen minutes? What, are we not good enough for fifteen minutes? What do we have to do to get the fifteen minutes? Do we have to get down on our knees and lick master clean? Is that it? Master needs a tongue bath? Anyway, this match was as short as my dinky.

Match #1: Vincent & Bateman defeated Michael Stevens & Sal Rinauro The following is courtesy of rohwrestling.com:
Bateman started the match for his team and immediately seized control. Bateman continued to dominate the match before hitting This Is A Kill tombstone piledriver. He then tagged in Vincent, who made the cover for the win.
My Opinion: 1.7 out of 5 – Hey, Sal Rinauro was here! The match wasn’t very good, but Sal was here and that’s good damn it!

Welcome to this edition of The Last Week In Wrestling, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and the critics hated Rey being a Palpatine. They actually thought that being a nobody was more devastating than being the descendant of the Emperor. I’d rather be Marge Debruge’s son than Adolf Hitler’s kid, if you catch my drift. That argument for Rise Of Skywalker being terrible is so stupid…there are many reasons to dislike Rise Of Skywalker, but Rey being cursed as the spawn of evil is not one of them. Did Rey even care who her parents were in The Force Awakens? I was under the impression Rey knew who here parents were and didn’t give a s— that they were poor. Any-way, I’m prattling on because wrestling often feels like this argument about Rey in Rise Of Skywalker, that being completely stupid.

Match #1: Dragon Lee defeated Andrew Everett – Ring Of Honor World TV Title Match The following is courtesy of rohwrestling.com:
Everett nearly pulled off the upset, but Lee ultimately prevailed after removing his knee pad and hitting the Incinerator knee strike. After the match, Lee — who is becoming more like older brother Rush all the time — stood on Everett and taunted him.

Nova rallied with a flurry of kicks and a cross armbreaker, but Draper powered out and hit a power bomb. Draper finished off Nova with the Magnum Drop. My Opinion: 3.5 out of 5 – Fortunately, this show did start off with a lovely match. I used lovely. I can do that. Suck it, Donald Trump. This was a fantastic way to start the show, as it was a longer match with plenty of action that was properly paced and fought with heart and passion. The sucking hasn’t quite started, yet.

The two teams battled back and forth, exchanging one hard-hitting move after another. Williams hit an assisted piledriver on King, but Pco made the save. Haskins...

Welcome to this week’s Ring Of Honor review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have two matches. That’s it. Roh TV is starting to piss me off. Who runs this damn thing? It’s Vince Russo, isn’t it? If he says bro I’m gonna lose it! Wait…I said bro! Ahhhhhhhh! Hold on, these are title matches. Maybe we have a chance?
Match #1: Kelly Klein beat Karissa Rivera – Women Of Honor World Title Match The following is courtesy of rohwrestling.com:
Klein dominated Rivera early, hitting a front-face Ddt and fallaway slam. Klein went for a second fallaway slam, but Rivera slipped out and landed a pump kick. Rivera followed with a spinebuster for a near fall. Klein recovered and hit K-Power for the win. After the match, Sumie Sakai came out and helped up Rivera. Sakai, who lost to Rivera...

Welcome to this review of Ring Of Honor, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have a little more wrestling from a league that is going into the real estate business. Honor Homes, taking pride in where your heart is since 2019. There’s not much wrestling here, so get ready for a short review, followed by questions from the audience.
Match #1: (Main Event) LifeBlood and Pj Black vs. Villain Enterprises The following is courtesy of rohwrestling.com:
Gordon, who double-crossed LifeBlood and joined Villain Enterprises at Best in the World, flipped off Bandido and immediately tagged out instead of locking up. Later, Gordon tagged in and got some shots in on Williams before quickly tagging out again. Pco went for a crossbody off the top rope, but Bandido caught the much larger Pco and slammed him. Bandido hit a corkscrew dive off the top rope onto...

Welcome to this review of Ring Of Honor’s Summer Supercard, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have a big card with huge expectations, like a tornado in a trailer park. That last comment means nothing, but makes me feel like I know what I’m talking about. I hope this thing turned out well (I already know if it did or not).
Match #1: Villain Enterprises (Pco and Brody King) defeated The Kingdom (Tko O’Ryan and Vinny Marseglia) The following is courtesy of rohwrestling.com:
It was all Pco and King early, but The Kingdom survived the onslaught and took control by isolating Pco. Eventually Pco tagged in King, who ran wild on both Kingdom members. King hit the Gonzo Bomb on O’Ryan, and Pco followed with a moonsault off the top rope for the victory.

Match #1: Jonathan Gresham defeated Kenny King, Dalton Castle and Jeff Cobb – Four Corner Survival Match The following is courtesy of rohwrestling.com:
Even though the match is every man for himself, Castle and King worked as unit to isolate Gresham. Eventually, their alliance fell apart. As Castle and King bickered, Gresham tagged in Cobb, who began tossing around both men. King went for a Blockbuster on Cobb, but Cobb caught him and delivered a Jackhammer for a near fall. Welcome to this review of Ring Of Honor: Mass Hysteria, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have the second card of the weekend from Roh. Manhattan Mayhem was quite good, so my hope is that Mass Hysteria is just as good, if not better. Okay, let’s see if this all came together or not.
Match #1: The Briscoes defeated The Bouncers – Ring Of Honor World Tag Team Title Match
My Opinion: 1.5 out of 5 – The Briscoes did fine here, but this just wasn’t much of a match. Going around ten minutes, this felt like a bowling ball landing on your foot and only hurting half as much as you thought it would. The Bouncers leave a lot to be desired, but they do have ability, so seeing them falter is unfortunate. I bet if this had happened in a bar this would have been a fun one,...

Match #1: Dragon Lee defeated Jonathan Gresham
My Opinion: 4.5 out of 5 – This was a vicious match that gave Gresham a chance to go even farther heel than he has before. This felt like a New Japan match shot full of adrenaline while going 90 on the highway. This is another great pairing that could draw any-where, thanks to performances like the one here. The wrestling here was off the charts and is proof that all you need in wrestling is the ability to have a great match to make a mark.

Roh has been having a lot of trouble the past three/four months, so let’s see if they can get back on the horse they’ve fallen off of before they get trampled by it.
Match #1: Rush defeated Flip Gordon
This was good for an opener, but it deserved to go a bit longer…that’s WWE talk! Before I get on a tangent, this was some good stuff, but it needed more time.

Welcome to this review of Ring Of Honor’s/New Japan Pro Wrestling’s G1 SuperCard, which emanated from Madison Square Garden in one of the great moments of wrestling history. I’m Nathan Favel and right here on Nerdly, we have one of the biggest events in wrestling history to discuss, so let’s do so.
Match #1: The 30-Man Honor Rambo: Winner – Kenny King
My Opinion: 3 out of 5 – This was less about great wrestling and more about big surprises. The action was of a certain quality, which should neither condone nor condemn the match itself. In what may have set the precedent for the card, the Japanese wrestlers were the best thing here. Overall, this match got the crowd excited, which is just fine.

Rush wasted no time taking the fight outside the ring and tossing LifeBlood’s Haskins into the guardrail. Haskins came back with a suicide dive and double stomp off the top rope. Rush answered with a snap German suplex and cutter. Haskins hit Made in England for a near fall. Both men were down after connecting on simultaneous kicks to the head. Legendary WWE broadcaster Jim Ross, sometimes referred to as the “voice of wrestling,” is taking his talents to All Elite Wrestling (Aew).
Ross will be a “senior advisor” there under what Aew is calling “the most lucrative deal in pro wrestling commentary history.” No other details — including financial ones — about Ross’ contract were shared. TheWrap asked an Aew rep to put a dollar amount on that terminology, but we have not immediately heard back.
Ol’ J.R.’s first in-ring appearance for Aew will be at the indie startups next big event, “Double or Nothing,” which takes place Saturday, May 25, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
“He will also work closely with the senior leaders at Aew on their roadmap to shift and reinvent the wrestling landscape,” the company said on Wednesday.

Match #1: “The Villain” Marty Scurll defeated Kenny King The following is courtesy of rohwrestling.com:
Taking a page from Scurll’s playbook, King made his entrance with a “Villain” cosplayer in an attempt to get into his head. It didn’t work. Match #1: Villain Enterprises (Marty Scurll and Pco) defeated The Kingdom (Tk O’Ryan and Vinny Marseglia) The following is courtesy of rohwrestling.com:
The Kingdom gained an early advantage through their double-team moves until Scurll tagged in Pco, who ran wild on both O’Ryan and Marseglia. Scurll assisted Pco on a French Canadian Cannonball over the top rope onto The Kingdom on the floor. Back inside the ring, Scurll hit a superplex on Marseglia, and Pco followed with a frog splash for a near fall. The Kingdom eventually got back on track. 3S beat John Skyler, Cory Hollis and Josey Quinn – Six-Man Tag Team Match
My Take: 2.5 out of 5 – This was a nice opening bout, but it didn’t do much to make this feel like a big PPV. The action was good, but none of it was beyond what you’d expect from a random tag match.
Mark Haskins beat Beer City Bruiser

Match #1: Jeff Cobb defeated Luchasaurus – Proving Ground Match The following is courtesy of rohwrestling.com:
As per the rules of a Proving Ground Match, if Luchasaurus defeats Cobb or lasts the entire 15-minute time limit, he will receive a future shot at the Roh World Television Title. Immediately after the bell rang, the enigmatic Luchasaurus stunned Cobb with a spinning heel kick for a near fall. Luchasaurus tried to keep his momentum going, but when he charged Cobb in the corner, the champion caught him and hit a spinning suplex. Cobb followed with a superplex and standing moonsault for a near fall.

Match #1: Twizted Sisterz (Holidead and Thunder Rosa) vs. Madison Rayne and Dr. Britt Baker The following is courtesy of rohwrestling.com:
Rayne and Baker demanded this match after they were attacked by Twizted Sisterz at Survival of the Fittest last month. The popular duo went on the offensive right from the opening bell, but Twizted Sisterz gained the advantage after isolating Rayne. Rayne eventually tagged in Baker, who hit a flurry of offense before Twizted Sisterz began double-teaming her. They landed a backbreaker, lung-blower and flat-liner in succession, followed by an assisted backflip that likely would’ve ended the match had Rayne not made the save at the last second. My Take: 3 out of 5 – This was like watching two bulldozers ram into each other for over ten minutes… and that’s a compliment. I like-a da smash-smash! Cobb is wrestling machine who can pack a wallop into any-thing launches at his opponent. Taylor is not too far behind, but his weight is still holding back from doing all that he is capable of. Match #1: The Briscoes beat Coast 2 Coast – Ring Of Honor World Tag Team Titles Match My Take: 3.5 out of 5
This was a much slower match than you would have expected from these two teams, but the action was structured properly and felt like a real competition, rather than a stunt show, so it was worth the viewing. C2C has had a quiet year of success, high-lighted by their undefeated streak, which I barely noticed, at all. C2C is a really good team in this match, with fluid tag work that is reminiscent of the Motor City Machine Guns at their peak.

Welcome to this weeks Ring of Honor review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have lots of action to get to, so let’s do so. That doesn’t sound very exciting, does it? Well, take it up with the Indian from that old recycling commercial from the 70s… who happened to be Italian.
Match #1: Kenny King beat Chase Owens My Take: 3 out of 5
This was good match that featured one of King’s best performances in some time, while giving Owens a rare chance to show his skills in outside of Japan. The action was slow but audacious, with Owens flying around with precision, at certain junctures, of course. Owens is looking more and more like James Storm, by the way, in both look and wrestling method. I don’t know if Owens could have a run in the WWE without taking steroids, but...

Welcome to this week’s Ring of Honor review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have the hero versus the villain in a classic case of tying the damsel in distress to the rail-road tracks and leaving her to die. Wait… no it’s just a wrestling match. That works, too.
Match #1: Coast 2 Coast beat The Kingdom – Tag Team Match My Take: 2.5/5
The wrestling here was good, but this match just didn’t get to the next level, for what-ever reason. These two teams have lots of chemistry together, so that had nothing to do with why this match couldn’t go beyond just going from move to move with solid logic holding it together. Perhaps it’s the way Ring of Honor presents matches, because this match was clearly meant to be a big encounter, but always just felt like dark match that snuck its way onto television.

There is a lot of rumors right now surrounding Cody Rhodes, The Young Buck, and Kenny Omega – and to a lesser extent, Marty Scurll and Adam Page. Could those rumors lead to the WWE? After the All In pay-per-view ended, Cody Rhodes stood in the ring and said that he didn’t know what the future held but that one thing was for sure – the Elite were all sticking together. With that said, there is no word on what that meant. Kenny Omega also took the mic and mentioned that people want him to go to the WWE. That […]

Welcome to the All In Pay Per View review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have a hell of a card to cover, so let’s do so right now!
Match #1: So Cal Uncensored (Frankie Kazarian & Scorpio Sky) beat The Briscoe Brothers (Jay and Mark) – Tag Team Match
This was the first of two matches for the Wgn portion of All In called Zero Hour. This was an excellent match that the crowd loved. The action was crisp and got the night started off right.
Match #2: The Over The Budget Battle Royal – Winner: Flip Gordon
This had a few surprises like Bully Ray and Tommy Dreamer, but the big shock came from Flip Gordon dressed in a mask and winning the match by eliminating Ray. Flip took the mask off and Ray was pissed. The crowd was thrilled that Flip won and so was I.

Welcome to the All In prediction column, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and this is a preview of what may be the biggest wrestling card of the year. I’d also like to thank CBS Sports for providing the card listing that we are working with here. I’m really excited for this one, so let’s get right to it!
Match #1: Moose, Jordynne Grace, Colt Cabana, Ethan Page, Rocky Romero, Brian Cage, Billy Gunn, Jimmy Jacobs, Marko Stunt, Brandon Cutler, Punishment Martinez and others – Over The Budget Battle Royal For A Ring Of Honor World Title Match Later On The Card
Appearing on the Zero Hour portion of the card that will air on Wgn, this match will be a fun spectacle. I think they’ll go with Punishment Martinez to win this match.
Match #2: The Briscoes vs. So-Cal Uncensored – Tag Team Match
