Donald Trump mocked President Joe Biden’s stutter again at a campaign rally in Rome, Georgia on Saturday.
At a campaign event in Iowa a few months ago, Trump attacked Biden when he made fun of the president’s childhood speech impediment. Hours after Biden’s remarks on the anniversary of January 6, Trump preached to his supporters, “Did you see him? He was stuttering through the whole thing. He’s saying I’m a threat to democracy. ‘He’s a threat to d-d-democracy.’”
At no point in Biden’s Jan. 6 remarks did he struggle with the word “democracy.”
Trump spent much of his two-hour rally speech attacking Biden’s physical and mental health, as well as his ever-growing list of grudges with various enemies. He asserted to his supporters that everything Biden touches turns to “s—“, and characterized the president’s State of the Union speech as a “dark, angry rant.

Drew Barrymore deleted the Instagram video Friday she posted earlier that morning in which she had apologized to writers for resuming production on “The Drew Barrymore Show.”
The talk show host and actress was roasted on social media for her decision to carry on with her show despite the dual WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. Among those vocal in their disapproval were “The West Wing” star Bradley Whitford, as well as Debra Messing and Alyssa Milano.
Whitford retweeted Barrymore’s video on X with a rather sarcastic caption.
“Drew Barrymore would like you to know that undermining union solidarity at the most crucial moment in Hollywood labor history makes her the victim,” he wrote. “This has been, like, a super tough week for her.”

Donald Trump Jr. decided that the best way he could defend his father Donald Trump after he was raided by the FBI was to scream red-faced into his webcam about how unfairly his daddy is getting treated again.
The clip, which was shared online by writer Molly Jong-Fast, has some wondering if Trump Jr. is on the verge of a meltdown.
Trump Jr. shouted his arguments several decibels higher than was necessary through the video, sounding like a sweaty comedian speeding through his five minutes at an open mic night.
He claimed it was overkill to send “30-something agents to show up to my father’s home, where they then wouldn’t allow or didn’t want any lawyers present.”
Junior continued the baseless argument that the FBI and Department of Justice have been politically aligned with current President Joe Biden.

Ted Cruz stormed away from a reporter who asked him about gun control in the wake of the massacre that killed 21 people, including 19 small children, in Uvalde, Texas.
“Is this the moment to reform gun laws,” Mark Stone of Sky News asked the senator from Texas in Uvalde on Wednesday.
“You know, it’s easy to go to politics,” an annoyed Cruz responded, adding gun control is where “the media likes to go” after mass shootings.

Can they put the mask back on?
Deadline reported that Rudy Giuliani was unveiled as a contestant on “The Masked Singer.” The season seven reveal during the Fox primetime singing competition, which hasn’t yet aired, allegedly led to judges Ken Jeong and Robin Thicke leaving the stage in protest.
Fellow judges Jenny McCarthy and Nicole Scherzinger remained on set and “bantered” with Giuliani, per Deadline.
Variety reported that Fox “refuses to acknowledge leaks, maintaining the series’ policy against confirming ‘spoilers.'”
Giuliani’s episode will not air until March, with the theme of “The Good, The Bad, and the Cuddly.” However, the politician’s rumored appearance is already causing social media backlash.
“When will Mike Flynn be on ‘The Masked Singer’ again?” journalist Molly Jong-Fast tweeted.

Fox News announced its plans to launch Fox Weather, a 24-hour streaming channel, last year and on Tuesday, the New York Times went deep on the weather TV business, which was the first time a lot of people had heard of the upcoming channel.
Unfortunately, online commentators seems to think any weather reports from Fox will be credible, or even objective. Many are joking the network will use the forecasts as a way to launch into other talking points, conspiracy theories, attacks on Democrats — or all three.
Author Chuck Wendig imagined how the broadcasts might go: “Next up, on Fox Weather: why are hurricanes teaching kids about Critical Race Theory? Then: climate change is just another example of cancel culture gone woke! Finally, a new report: The Storm Is Coming. I’m Ben Carson with the Weather.”
A rep for Fox News had no comment.

Meghan McCain is leaving “The View” after four years, and the move raises an important question — who’s going to take her place? Worry not, the People of the Internet already have plenty of ideas.
Some have real suggestions. While many are already speculating that McCain herself will eventually end up finding a job at Fox News, multiple current Fox folks are being floated as McCain’s replacement on ABC, arguing that “The View” will likely want to ensure another conservative voice continues to be on the panel. Suggestions there have included Candace Owens, Tomi Lahren and more.
Still others are hoping for the opposite. One popular choice is Ana Navarro, who has often filled in on “The View” when one of the hosts were out. Meanwhile, author David Hill suggested Ziwe, saying that she is the clear choice if “The View” is going to “atone” for McCain’s four years on the panel.

Neil Patel, an author and marketer, got some attention Thursday after a Tuesday video explaining why he doesn’t read books picked up traction among agitated Twitter users.
“The only books I read are kids’ books and that’s to my daughter. People talk about reading books. You know what? I wrote a book and I was even a New York Times best-selling author, but here’s the thing: Most books that you see in a book store, they’re written a year to two years before they were actually published and they go through this really long process,” he said in the video.
Patel pointed out that any information that isn’t outdated can be found on YouTube, which delivers information faster than a book does. He suggested watching videos, reading blogs and getting information from social media rather than reading books.

Newsmax host Grant Stinchfield came under fire for calling Israel the “home country” of American Jews on a Wednesday night broadcast.
“I don’t belong to any political party but I am Jewish and newsflash: my home country is the United States. To suggest otherwise is bigotry,” tweeted CNN anchor Jake Tapper.

Sean Hannity was caught vaping on air Thursday night when his Fox News show Hannity came back from commercial break.
“Uh-oh,” exclaimed the veteran primetime host, whose glasses appeared askew as he puffed a flat vape that appeared to be a standard Juul. Hannity was looking down, seemingly at his phone, and then to the side, where, presumably, he realized he was on live television. Hannity stared directly into the camera, quickly ripped the vape from his mouth, and a little thud was heard as he discarded whatever was in his hand.
Reactions on Twitter poured in quickly, of course, with some offering up a digital eye-roll and others cutting the man from slack. After all, many have been working from home for the past year during the pandemic, and personal and professional lives have certainly blended in unexpected ways. Trump has used the texts as proof the FBI was against him, but Page maintains that her personal opinions had no bearing on her work at the FBI and the Russia investigation. Slate came in for withering criticism on Monday after publishing an article going after former President George H.W. Bush’s service dog, Sully. Gop Candidate Slammed for Saying Florida Shouldn’t ‘Monkey This Up’ by Electing First Black Governor
Florida’s Republican gubernatorial nominee Ron DeSantis opened up his first full day on the campaign trail for the state’s highest office by warning voters not to “monkey this up” by electing his Democratic opponent Andrew Gillum — the first African American person to be nominated for governor by a major party in the sunshine state.
“We’ve gotta work hard that we continue Florida going in a good direction, lets build off the success we’ve had on governor Scott,” DeSantis told Sandra Smith on Fox News Wednesday morning. “The last thing we need to do is monkey this up by trying to embrace a socialist agenda with huge tax increases and bankrupting the state.”
The comments were immediately seized upon online, where they whipped around Twitter with many saying the racial implications were unavoidable.

Charlie Rose faced internet wrath after the New York Post reported Wednesday evening that someone was shopping a #MeToo redemption series which would star the disgraced CBS anchor.

Writing for the Post, Ian Mohr said that Vanity Fair and Daily Beast alum Tina Brown had been approached to produce the potential series but had turned it down.

I am only up for this Charlie Rose show if it is a reality competition called The Reckoning & it is hosted by the angry ghost of Frances Farmer.

Elevator pitch: buddy comedy with Oj Simpson and Claus von Bulow. (Is von Bulow still alive?)

Charlie Rose interviewing Matt Lauer while both wear nothing but loosely fitting bathrobes is going to be a ratings hit https://t.co/9a10ZDjBHJ

Per the Post, the plan would call for Rose to interview various men who have seen their careers toppled in the sexual harassment reckoning that has whipped around media, Hollywood and politics. The Page Six report said some of the possible interview subjects included Louis C.K and Matt Lauer.
Writing for the Post, Ian Mohr said that Vanity Fair and Daily Beast alum Tina Brown had been approached to produce the potential series but had turned it down.

What about the show where we hear from all the women whose careers were derailed by Charlie Rose & men like him?
…and the women who didn't pursue the careers they wanted to because of men like Charlie Rose?
…and the women whose lives were destroyed by men like Charlie Rose? https://t.co/eQHKR9h3HC

We read every week, it seems like, about good reporters losing their jobs having done nothing wrong except work for a paper owned by the wrong hedge fund. That seems like a more urgent problem than whether Charlie Rose ever gets to do another interview.

Charlie Rose show idea is weak sauce. I’m holding out for a TV series where Oj Simpson interviews other people who killed people and kinda-sorta got away with it and how they struggle with the stigma.
