But the cult activity has been kept a secret by locals Joe (Stelio Savante) and Paul (Richard Riehle) and when Greg disappears, Rachel is left alone to unravel the mystery and save their lives. And now actors from Back to the Future and Hollyoaks are among the cast of a new sci-fi movie called Starship: Rising.
Morphius Films has released the first official production stills from the set of the movie, which is written and directed by Neil Johnson.
Neil previously helmed 2011's Alien Armageddon.
The cast of Starship: Rising includes Claudia Wells (Back to the Future), genre favourite Brooke Lewis (iMurders), E.J. De La Pena (Jingle All The Way), Marilyn Ghigliotti (Clerks), Darren Jacobs (Hollyoaks) and American pop singer Emii.

North American distribution rights for new horror film Carnies have been picked up by R-Squared Film, it's been announced.
The movie, directed by Brian Corder and presented by T.R. Productions, has an official DVD release date of October 12, 2010.
A limited theatrical and VOD release are also planned, with dates to be announced shortly.
A new poster has been released and is included above. The synopsis of the film is featured below.
Carnies follows the Knuckles Brothers' travelling sideshow in 1936 as it rolls into yet another town, ready to delight and dazzle the townsfolk with amazing acts and puzzling oddities.
As the workers set up their tents they could not know that within days several of them would be dead, ripped savagely apart by a seemingly inhuman force, their souls stolen from their bodies.

R-Squared will release Brian Corder's Carnies on DVD, VOD, and in theatres beginning October 12th. Carnies involves a series of murders at a travelling circus where the suspects are larger than life e.g. the sword-swallower, and the strong man. Director Brian Corder sent along some new, exclusive photos from his circus-of-horrors opus Carnies, with the latest poster (by artist Alexandre Tuis) and the news that the movie is finished. “It has been a long process,” he says, “but the movie is finally complete and we’re shopping for potential distributors.
