The Hollywood star seems desperate to parade her haphazard love life in the press. That's just not cool
No matter how bad things get, there is always the love-life of Jennifer Aniston to provide light relief. Aniston is Hollywood's answer to the Daily Mail's Liz Jones, forever parading her love life to maintain profile and career, forever wondering, baffled, why she Cannot Find Love. Please, both of you, make a proper effort at keeping your romantic lives private. See what happens then.
It's nice, Jen, that you are dating Justin Theroux. But tell your friends who keep the media informed about it, presumably with your collusion, that you'd rather they didn't. And Liz, it's nice that you are dating Jim Kerr, or whoever it is. But don't write coyly about "the rock star" in your column. It's too tragically needy for words, this addictive self-exposure.

A group of celebrities have put their names to a letter on behalf of Oxfam addressed to the G8 leaders meeting in Canada this week.

Simple Minds legend Jim Kerr and luminary folk-rock singer Martha Wainwright have re-invented the iconic 80s hit Promised You A Miracle, to call on world leaders to keep the promises they have made on overseas aid and saving the lives of mothers in poor countries.
The new acoustic version of the 1982 hit single has been recorded for international development agency Oxfam as an appeal to world leaders to prevent the needless deaths of hundreds of thousands of women who die because of complications in pregnancy and childbirth.
