This has led the fandom to dub the series as Hiatus x Hiatus. Despite the jokes, every reader is aware of Yoshihiro Togashi’s health condition and they continue to provide unconditional support to him.

Informally known as Hiatus×Hiatus, the Hunter×Hunter manga is one of the biggest enigmas from that world. The series was started by Yoshihiro Togashi back in 1998, and it is still ongoing, although the series has had so many health-related hiatuses that there is only a handful of hopefuls who think that the manga is actually going to be finished and that Togashi will be able to tell his story as he wanted to tell it, without rushing it or shortening it. While the series restarted relatively recently, the publication schedule was all but regular, and the series soon ended on another hiatus.
But, a recent Tweet by Togashi himself suggests that the manga might come back soon. Based on the picture and the message, it seems that Togashi has recovered enough to continue his work and we only hope that he will have a good streak and that he will...

Masashi Kishimoto’s Naruto features Itachi Uchiha for 24 episodes in the show. However, that does not limit his popularity because the impact he left in those episodes is immaculate. The Uchiha was truly a definition of what a true shinobi should be like, as he willingly showcased himself as a villain and protected the Hidden Leaf Village from the shadows.
Itachi Uchiha
The tragic hero put the safety of the village above his own needs, as he murdered his entire clan and if that wasn’t enough, he went on to infiltrate the Akatsuki to provide valuable information. The entire saga made the character so popular that Kishimoto-san is copying the entire arc in Boruto, as he has decided to make the protagonist have the same faith as the ill-fated Uchiha.

A few years ago, Masashi Kishimoto and Yoshihiro Togashi sat down together for an interview, where they also answered some fan questions about their creative process and other aspects of Naruto and Hunter x Hunter. One fan question during the discussion prompted Togashi to compare Kishimoto to Hayao Miyazaki of Studio Ghibli.

Miyazaki is one of the legends in the anime industry and is known primarily for his works like Spirited Away, The Boy and the Heron, Princess Mononoke, Howl’s Moving Castle, Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, and many more. During the interview, Kishimoto and Togashi were discussing their drawing skills when they were kids, and that’s when Togashi compared Kishimoto’s skills with Studio Ghibli’s director.

During the discussion, both Kishimoto and Togashi were asked about the concepts from the real world that helped them shape the fantastical universe of their storylines. The mythical world of Naruto, which features supernatural elements such as Ninjas and Jutsus, may appear to be the most intriguing aspect of Masashi Kishimoto’s work, yet it was not the primary focus. Kishimoto once stated that the trouble with a fantasy universe is that fans can’t draw parallels between imagination and reality.

His storytelling abilities coincide with the extraordinary character designs and sketches, contributing to what makes Naruto such a well-liked series.

Eventually, it became a popular manga and was adapted into anime in 1999. It went on for only four seasons and came to a sudden stop. Later, the manga was re-adapted into an anime in 2011 and gained worldwide popularity.

Arguably mangaka Yoshihiro Togashi’s second-best work, Yu Yu Hakusho, was released in 1990. It was a supernatural/detective manga that revolved around a deceased protagonist who gained the ability to stay on the mortal plane in a ghostly form on the condition of assisting in various paranormal investigations. A year later, in 1991, prolific comic-book writer Neil Gaiman adapted a similar concept in his Sandman universe created for DC Comics, and by adding his signature gothic flair to provide a macabre spin to children’s detective stories, he introduced Dead Boy Detectives to the world. The grim yet hopeful nature of the stories perfectly complemented the overall tone of his Sandman universe, and even though the later runs of Dead Boy Detectives have gradually become more sporadic in nature, they remain one of DC’s more experimental, character-driven stories, which highlights the overall versatile nature of the comic franchise.

Yoshihiro Togashi will go down in history as one of the most underrated mangaka ever. He had a glorious career but never reached his peak due to his recurring back pain. In the early 1990s, Yu Yu Hakusho was a pretty popular anime, but due to back pain, Togashi sensei had to wrap up his manga hurriedly, thus ending on a different note than he desired.
Hunter x Hunter almost reached the same popularity as the Big Three of anime. Unfortunately, it also suffered the same fate. Gon Freecs’ journey is most likely to remain unfinished. Fans can doubt whether he will reach the end of his journey, but they cannot doubt that he is Ging Freecs’ son. In an interview, Yoshihiro Togashi confirmed a horrifying aspect about Hunter x Hunter’s protagonist.

Masashi Kishimoto’s Naruto Shippuden ended seven years ago, while his rival, Eiichiro Oda, is yet to conclude his magnum opus. One Piece is currently in its Final Saga, and it might not be long before the anime finally comes to an end. One Piece began before Naruto and is still going strong even several years after Naruto’s end. So, many think it to be the better anime.
But one statement from Masashi Kishimoto can change the entire perspective of the fans. During an interview, he revealed an important fact about his magnum opus, which makes him a better mangaka than his rival. Eiichiro Oda is considered to be a genius, but after hearing Kishimoto sensei, people might understand how underrated the latter was.

Hunter x Hunter never followed any morals as such. Yoshihiro Togashi always did what was best for his magnum opus, and he felt that including a moral code with the protagonist would make it like any other Shonen Jump series. Hunter x Hunter follows the journey of a young boy named Gon Freecs, who sets out on a journey to become a hunter and find his father, Ging Freecs.
Gon’s journey took several turns as he made new friends as well as enemies. Yoshihiro Togashi never doubted his protagonist and their decision to change Gon proved to be a massive step for the anime’s popularity. Even popular names like Naruto and One Piece were left behind by Hunter x Hunter after the latter discarded the concept of ‘right proper lad.’

Yoshihiro Togashi’s Hunter x Hunter has always had a special place among the fans. Even though the mangaka has yet to complete his magnum, the fans are skeptical about its conclusion. The reason for this is that the mangaka constantly suffers from severe back pain and has gone on a long vacation. Hunter x Hunter manga happens to be in bits and pieces after the anime’s ending.
The manga has several important characters, and each of them tells a story. It helped the manga gain more popularity due to its diversified characters. When asked about his favorite Phantom Troupe member, Yoshihiro Togashi did not waste any time answering. He revealed that Chrollo Lucilfer is his favorite Phantom Troupe member, and there is a fascinating reason behind it.

Yoshihiro Togashi’s Hunter x Hunter had been adapted into an anime twice, yet none of those times was the anime completed. The mangaka has been constantly suffering from back pain and had to take several extended vacations. Every time the fans buckled up for some hunter action, they were left disappointed due to Yoshihiro Togashi’s health conditions.
His previous magnum opus, Yu Yu Hakusho, also faced this problem, but Togashi sensei somehow managed to finish the story in a rushed manner. Unfortunately, Hunter x Hunter is so well written that it cannot have a rushed end. However, Yoshihiro Togashi considered the situation and prepared a backup, which could be used in case something unprecedented happened.

Most people who have come into contact with the state of the manga and anime industry will know that it is a very competitive, not to say brutal, environment and that surviving the conditions requires a lot of effort, as a lot of people are unable to handle the pressure, stress, and working conditions. If you remember, many mangaka have stopped working on their projects or have been taking long hiatuses due to health issues related to the brutal working conditions. Tite Kubo rushed the ending of Bleach due to the work taking a toll on his health, while the author of Hunter×Hunter, Yoshihiro Togashi, might never finish his work due to constant health issues.
But, while this was all known, a recent study conducted by the Nippon Animation Film Culture Association (Nafca), whose conclusions can be found here, confirmed that the work conditions were not only brutal but that...

Throughout the wide world of manga and anime, several storylines recur in many different series. The Jeju Island Arc from Solo Levelling and the Chimaera Ant Arc from Hunter × Hunter, have often been compared by fans, which is down to several reasons. With a gap of nearly ten years, Yoshihiro Togashi wrote Hunter X Hunter, a manga, while Chugong published Solo Leveling, a Korean webtoon.

Hunter x Hunter and Solo Leveling’s portrayal of strong explorers known as “Hunters” share many similarities, the creation of ant-like organisms that quickly grow into powerful, intelligent beings is the subject of both storylines, the two however differ in terms of the overall structure and depth of the plot.

The Chimaera arc is one of Hunter X Hunter’s most captivating stories. The initial appearance points of both species are the first resemblance between the two arcs.

The eagerly awaited live-action Yu Yu Hakusho series will premiere on Netflix next week, and the full trailer is now available to whet your appetite. Yu Yu Hakusho | Official Trailer
In the latest trailer of Yu Yu Hakusho, Yusuke begins training to be a Spirit Detective and gets his first assignment.
However, the trailer’s most iconic moment happens in the final few seconds, when Yusuke unleashes his famous Spirit Gun skill and creates an energy orb so strong that it melts the enemy’s face off.
The new series will cover the early arcs of the original manga and anime adaptations. Following Yusuke as he dies shielding a small child from being hit by a car, his first endeavors as a supernatural brawler are rather deadly.
