Believe it or not, when Wonder Woman arrives in theaters on June 2, it will be the first time the character has fronted her own live-action movie. (Versus Superman's 10 or so different films and even more Batman movies.) And, in fact, the only other time Wonder Woman has appeared on the big screen is Gal Gadot's supporting role in last year's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. All of which is to say, you may have some questions. Like...

How similar is this Wonder Woman to the one in the comic books? Diana, Princess of Themyscira (or Diana Prince, as she's known to mere mortals) first appeared in the pages of All Star Comics #8 in 1941, created by writer William Moulton Marston and artist Harry G. Peter. Everything you know about the Amazonian warrior -- her tiara, her indestructible bracelets, the Lasso of Truth -- remains intact some 75 years later, as do many...

So Howard isn't crazy after all.
Tom almost let the cat out of the bag on The Blacklist: Redemption Season 1 Episode 5, but seeing the comic book peeking out of Scottie's magazine rack stopped him cold.
Howard even admitted early in the hour that he must sound crazy, handing Tom a piece of paper and talking about secret messages.
Then later when he talked about the comic book, that was all Tom needed to hear to realize that Howard really was a nutcase.
So he thought.
He finally had Scottie alone without any chance of interruption and he was going to tell her who he was when he caught the comic book out of the corner of his eye.
Imagine his surprise when he saw that the comic book actually existed. Lucky for him he was able to backtrack and say he wanted to talk about Liz and Agnes. (It's been...

The fear with Last Week Tonight is that it’s The Daily Show except once a week — a staggered timeline that would rob the basic news-punning format of its intrinsic topical punch. John Oliver’s new show has the familiar rhythms of the show that bore him: Description of news item, comical montage of actual news networks covering said news in an increasingly hysterical fashion, follow-up punchline. Oliver has been with The Daily Show since 2006; he’s one of the longest-serving correspondents, behind Stephen Colbert and the eternal Bee/Jones double act. The first episode of his HBO series didn...

Alex's trek through the film roles of actors who've played the Doctor reaches Peter Davison, Colin Baker and Sylvester McCoy...
Read the previous part in this series, Doctor Who: the film careers of Patrick Troughton and Tom Baker, here.
In March 1981, as he made his Doctor Who debut, Peter Davison was already one the best known faces on British television. Not only was he the star of both a BBC and an ITV sitcom - Sink Or Swim and Holding The Fort - but as the young and slightly reckless Tristan Farnon in All Creatures Great And Small, about the often humorous cases of Yorkshire vet James Herriot and his colleagues, he had cemented his stardom. The part led, indirectly, to his casting as the venerable Time Lord.

The Belmont clan has been a video game mainstay since the Nes, and they’ve provided more than a few memories for gamers throughout the years. Even as a kid, I could lose weekends at a time trying to tackle Dracula. And as big of an overhaul as it was, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow was a monumental game, taking bits and pieces from other blockbuster titles to create a Frankenstein-esque mishmash packed full of epic moments.
More than a few gamers were disheartened to hear that the sequel, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate, would be a 3Ds exclusive, extremely limiting its audience. Luckily, those stubborn few who have been waiting for an HD port can finally get their hands on the second chapter of the new series with Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate HD.
Although the plot has been altered from past entries in the series,...

What does it mean to be cool? It's pretty damn subjective. So when compiling our list of the 25 coolest people making movies right now (somebody had to do it, right?), we accounted for various factors.
These are the actors who not only impress us onscreen (though that helps), but convey a certain genuineness off it, be it at awards shows, on TV appearances or during our own personal experiences interviewing them. They can be multi-talents, also excelling at music, art or writing. And they can make a habit of turning up in hilarious viral videos or even at your local karaoke bar.
But most of all, these are the 25 actors we'd really just like to sit down and have a beer with.
Welcome to NextMovie's 1st annual Cool List – and let us know who makes your own list in the comments section below.

Morning Meme: Dan Savage Calls Out Rick Santorum, "Glee" Needs Robots, and Tom Felton Talks Slashfic
Matthew Mitcham won't have time to rest after the 2012 Olympics, because he's just been named an ambassador, along with speed skater Blake Skjellerup, to the 2014 Out Games, which will be held in Akron and Cleveland. Oddly, I think geographically, I'm the closest AfterElton.com editor to cover the games. Just putting that idea out there.
The Simpsons are going to do a Dexter skit for the new Tree House of Horror. Guess who the killer is played by? Stupid bloody Flanders.
If the National Organization for Marriage isn't a religious organization, why are they defining their mission by quoting Genesis? What's even scarier is that they think they can control the entire country with a fanatical 10% of the population.
What makes a car gay? According to the author of this piece, evidently having $80k to drop on a BMW works. When I lived in DuPont Circle, all the boys drove Vw Jettas,...

First off, I’m back! I ran down to lovely Lexington, Va to talk to OUTLaw, the Glbt student organization at Washington & Lee University. They were great people, and didn’t throw rotten vegetables at me, so I think we had a really great talk about bullying, suicide, and Glee. Many thanks to Emerald, David, Chad, Anthony and everyone else for having me.
Mike O’Malley has a great interview about playing Burt Hummel and how much the show means, and how he and Chris Colfer go about all those heavy scenes. But what really got me was when he was discussing the sex education talk Burt and Kurt had, and how sex ed talks between parents and kids focus on the bad things. “And look — parents don’t want their kids having sex. If they did, they’d teach them technique! I don’t care how open-minded you are.

Happy Birthday, Kier!
The United States of Tara's Kier Gilchrist turns 18-years-old today. He also has a movie coming out next week called It's Kind of a Funny Story, in which he's in a psych ward (which is ironic since he's the sanest member of his TV family). Here we have his mother, played by Lauren Graham explaining to him he has to stay committed.
NOMExposed has launched today to help show the money trail and the power players in the anti-equality movement. Unfortunately, the site has suffered time issues all day, so I can't give much of a review yet. Hackers have published what's being called a definitive list of terms that Google Instant censors. There are a lot of Glbt specific terms on the list, and some activists are upset. but as someone who has to search the Internet with SafeSearch off, I know that innocent terms can produce profane results.

If you're young enough to have grown up entertaining the thought that Dick and Dom in da Bungalow is the height of children's comedy, then get yourself on YouTube right now and type in the words, 'Trevor & Simon'. Trevor Neal and Simon Hickson brought anarchic off-the-wall humour to the nation's TV screens via Saturday morning shows Going Live! and Live & Kicking during the late '80s and early '90s. And if you're lucky enough to own the VHS of their 1993 'The Blimey, That's Good! Tour', then you'll understand what we're banging on about - and be the owner of a much sought-after collector's item. They had too many classic sketches to mention them all, but some of the best loved were (more)...
