A new series from Jash has added to YouTube’s deep reserve of videos led by funny children. The comedy network formed in 2013 by a fivesome of comedy notables has launched Baby Talk, which is based off a Meltdown live show of the same name.
In Baby Talk, hosts Dan Levy and Jensen Karp invite three celebrity guests to riff on the musings of a silly child. This premise may sound familiar, but that’s the whole point. “It’s an original show that seems very similar to Kids Says The Darndest Things,” says Levy in the series’ trailer, “because...it is very similar to Kids Say The Darndest Things.”
The goal of the web series version is to take Baby Talk to as weird a place as it can possible go. The featured children are “our strangest kids from the live show,” says Karp. In the first episode, Neal Brennan,...

Exclusive: Breaking In star Bret Harrison has teamed with actor-comedian Dan Levy (Enlightened) to write a multi-camera hybrid comedy for ABC. Harrison is set to star the project, Married With Roommates, which follows two very different couples at different stages in their relationships living together under one roof. Harrison and Levy will co-executive produce the comedy, produced by ABC Studios. This is not Harrison’s first stab at creating his own comedy starring vehicle. Following the end of his cult CW series Reaper, he sold a multi-camera comedy project to CBS about a pair of district attorneys. Harrison co-wrote the story and was attached to star. For the past two seasons, Harrison, repped by UTA and Management 360, toplined Fox’s comedy series Breaking In. Levy, repped by UTA and New Wave, is a writer on Whitney and created/exec produced the VH1 series Stevie TV.

If you didn’t catch the first episode of Stevie TV on VH1, make sure you don’t miss it again (and catch a highlight reel below, along with a little clip from Episode 2).
I had a chance to talk with Stevie Ryan recently, and she’s very serious about her pop culture. Also, she can talk. The show is getting a lot of play on VH1, with new episodes on Sunday nights, and it’s a lot of fun. Sketch comedy based on pop culture, Stevie takes on the persona on stars from your favorite reality nonsense to parody the world around us.
Let’s jump in. Be prepared, if you’ve ever wondered what an interview where the interviewer doesn’t get to say much looks like, this is it. Oh, and there’s cursing.
So, I wanted to ask, where did this come from? I mean, obviously from the YouTube videos,...

Have you seen the original web series Scene Kid Love? It’s the one with the Chris Crocker cameo about Sceney Sceneable, who’s like an underage Tila Tequila on whatever drug the Teletubbies are smoking living in a MySpace-dominated internet yearning for a prominent place on her sex friend’s social media hierarchy. How about The Islands? You see that one? That’s the web show that’s like a Staten Island version of Jersey Shore released before anyone knew the name Snooki featuring guidette Allie who gets to Manhattan’s Meatpacking district by way of bridges and tunnels and who's proud of looking like Christina Aguilera from her dirty days when she had dark hair. Do you know the lady that stars in both those you-gotta-watch-these online originals? That’s the lovely Stevie Ryan. And in addition to the two series above, you’ll soon be able to...

Last night’s Young Hollywood Awards ceremony at L.A.’s Club Nokia — airing May 26 on Ion Television (9/8c) — featured not only youthful stars (including Oscar nominee Hailee Steinfeld and august Super 8 star Elle Fanning), but also their mentor figures, who presented the statuettes.
It’s a more poignant situation than you realize.

Tonight features no new programming dedicated to the royal nuptials specifically and I, for one, am a little bit stunned. I hadn't realized how much I counted on having a wedding show or two to tee off on for giggles until there weren't any and now there's this strange, Royal Wedding shaped hole in my evening helping of snark. I'm sure this awful oversight will be corrected in the coming days so I can be sure to make up for today's loss with lots of sarcastic quips and references to fascinators and whatnot. There's not even a proper helping of misery tonight. Honestly, I feel like I've failed all of you tonight on Pajiba After Dark. Apologies. Here's your (rather dull) Monday night TV:
8:00pm: "90210" on The CW
"Antiques Roadshow" on PBS
"Dancing With the Stars" on ABC
"Love & Hip Hop" on VH1

Up until today I have not seen the video of the song "Friday" featuring Rebecca Black. Mostly because when it came out I was at SXSW and just didn't have time and after seeing everyone's reactions to it decided it was best to stay away. Very similar to my approach to "Two Girls One Cup." (Mom, Do Not Google That! Call me if you really want to know.) (Sorry, my parents read my column.) However, it was announced last night on "The Colbert Report" that Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Fallon had raised $26,000 for Donors Choose and so Colbert would be performing Patrice Wilson's (the actual writer of the song, rather than the hapless teenager unfortunate enough to have sung it) "Friday" with The Roots on... Friday. Obviously. So I may have to watch the video just to get the full effect. Oh, and I also saw this video of Amanda Palmer...

Misery night is here, with the addition of the made for TV movie about the murder of Meredith Kercher featuring that girl who used to be in "Heroes" and yes I do know her name but I don't know how to spell it so I'll just keep referring to her as "The Cheerleader" thank you very much. (As a side note, as an American doing a study abroad shortly after the investigation began, this is also where I learned that people can decide whether or not you're a murderer by the contents of your MySpace page. Once they can figure that out through Facebook and Twitter I'm really in trouble. Uh, I mean, nothing to see here.) Really, just a banner night of "feel terrible about the world" television unless you're lucky enough to get Logo so you can watch "RuPaul's Drag Race" which probably makes you feel better about the world.

So, um... that happened. Anyway, there's some different stuff happening tonight; a couple shows got moved around ("Bones" and "30 Rock") a couple new shows are premiering ("Fairly Legal" and "Perfect Couples"), and perhaps most importantly I'm doing my absolute damndest not to mention any sort of food products that may or may not be made with tortillas and which are most assuredly not the native food of any Us commonwealths. Even though I kind of wanted to because Ms.Shahi in the picture over there used to be on "The L-Word" and there's some really terrible and salacious puns to be made, perhaps some involving specifically flavored kisses but No! None of that. Here's your Thursday night TV:
8:00pm: "American Idol" on Fox.
"The Big Bang Theory" on CBS
"Community" on NBC
"Wipeout: Winter Wipeout" on ABC. I'm thinking I might actually watch this. It's been one of those...

We're about a week into the new year, so if I were to use an extended metaphor comparing the New Year to a new relationship (and I am), this would be about the point when you'd notice that while the New Year currently seems fun an interesting, it also seems to have quite a bit in common with the Old Year. However, you'll brush that uncomfortable observation aside for now, telling yourself that you're only imagining things or maybe that every year has "The Jersey Shore" and you just never noticed it before. Or that people just didn't talk about suspiciously large die-offs of animals previously. I hope you're right, imaginary person courting 2011, and that there are only good things in the future. Now that I've thoroughly unsettled you, here's your Thursday night TV:
8:00pm: "The Big Bang Theory" on CBS
"Million Dollar Money Drop" on Fox
"Wipeout: Winter Wipeout" on ABC.

It's that time of year again, when television has become sufficiently slim pickings and my holiday schedule has grown full enough that I have to leave you all to your own television scheduling devices until the early days of 2011. I hope the season finds you all as well as can be and that you've got good things to look forward to in the next week and a half and beyond. And finally, thank you for reading and participating; writing this would be no fun without all of you out there in internet-land. Here's your Wednesday night TV for the last time in 2010:
8:00pm: "The 12th Annual A Home for the Holidays" on CBS
"Top Ten Monks" on HBO2. I don't get HBO2 and I'm very sad about that because this title is infuriatingly intriguing.
"Human Target" on Fox
"Undercovers" on NBC
9:00pm: "I'll Do Anything" on Bbca

Woke up today with the sniffles and I'm not sure what that's about and it's about the last thing I need at this time of year. I've got the tea going and I'm really hoping I don't have to resort to anything more intense because cold medicine has a nasty habit of knocking me right on my ass or just making me kind of loopy and useless for the rest of the day. So while I enjoy my tea and cross my fingers that things don't progress from this point to an actual cold, here's your Wednesday night TV:

"Campus Pd" on G4
"Dance Cam Slam" on VH1
"Dateline NBC" on NBC. This is called "William and Kate: A Royal Love Story" so those of you who enjoy that sort of thing can tell me how it goes. I'm not shockingly...

It's raining today in Miami which is actually not all that out of the ordinary for an area of the world that is subtropical. In fact, about half the year here it can rain at any given moment even if it appears to be perfectly clear and sunny right up until that moment. Or sometimes even after, the experience of getting poured on while the sun is brightly shining is not unusual. The way the drivers in Miami handle rain, though, would lead you to believe that they had all recently moved here from the Sahara and didn't actually know that water could fall from the sky. I remember something similar happening in Maryland each winter when it would snow. As I head out into the mass of insanity that is my commute, here's you Wednesday night TV:

Jessie Spano is so excited. Shel's also so scared. The most histrionic scene in all five seasons of Saved by the Bell is etched in the minds of every child of the early '90s. While Joey Lawrence's "Woah" and Pauley Shore's "Wheez the Juice" have fallen by the wayside, Spano's exclamations after overindulging on caffeine pills have stood the test of time. So, if you're someone like Dan Levy and creating a web series that's an amalgamation of your favorite early '90s sitcoms, this is a scene you want to spoof. And wouldn't ya know, Levy channels one helluva Elizabeth Berkley. In the first installment of Atom's latest web series, Dan Levy's Laugh Track Mash-Ups, Levy plays your stereotypical, naive high school student from which all after school specials are made. Dripping with impressionability, Dan dives headfirst into illegal substance abuse with the helping hand of resident bad boy,...
