Miranda Lambert is not used to sitting still, so a few months into pandemic quarantine she and her husband, former NYPD officer Brendan McLoughlin, bought a shiny silver Airstream and headed up the East Coast from Nashville. They made “campfire casserole,” a specialty of Lambert’s dad, drank wine on the pop-up table, and named the gleaming beast “The Sheriff.”

This is the second part of a two-part interview with country music singer-songwriter Emily West, who previously discussed her appearance on The Celebrity Apprentice. After passing her Apprentice training with flying colors, Emily West continues her musical assault on the public's senses. On a stage filled with alpha males (Montgomery Gentry, Jamey Johnson, Jack Ingram), the effervescent West is bringing a frisky, feminine touch to the Country Throwdown Tour that rolls through America until June 20. Then her first full-length album is tentatively scheduled for a summer release, although her label, Capitol Nashville, has yet to announce an official release date. West keeps making waves, though, with the single "Blue Sky," the touching song about the lives that were turned upside down by the divorce of her parents after 32 years of marriage. She co-wrote it with Gary Burr and recorded...

Singer and songwriter Jack Ingram is releasing a new single this week. "Seeing Stars" will hit radio this week and features musician and long-time friend Patty Griffin.
The new single is off Ingram's recently released album "Big Dreams & High Hopes." The album was written by Ingram and Grammy winner Chris Thomkins.
"The relationship with God or with Jesus or with anybody that you follow religiously -- it seems like we're all guilty of only keeping that relationship up when we're really in need," Ingram recently explained to Cmt. "This song is admitting guilt to that. Like, 'I know I don't talk to You enough,' or 'I know I don't reach out enough when times are good. And now that times are bad, here I am again but I need some help.' You just go ahead and ask for it anyway."
