Hollywood mourned the death of Oscar-nominated actor Burt Reynolds on Thursday after news of his death broke. Reynolds died of cardiac arrest at the age of 82.
His “Boogie Nights” co-star Mark Wahlberg posted a picture to Twitter of Reynolds on the set of the film. He captioned it “Rest in peace to a legend and a friend.” Sylvester Stallone also saluted his friend.
“A sad day, my friend Burt Reynolds Has passed away,” Stallone wrote on Instagram. “I remember him back in 1979, he always reminded me that I should’ve cast him as Colonel Trautman in First Blood , I said that’s impossible, because you’re too expensive and too famous, and probably tougher than Rambo !”

People go to Saved thinking they know what they will see. They've been told often enough. A baby is stoned to death in a park by a group of youths; a middle-aged woman has her stocking provocatively darned (she's inside it: 'You watch where yer pokin') by her daughter's young admirer. These are the scenes that caused Edward Bond's play to be banned by the Lord Chamberlain in 1965; these are the scenes that have made it famous.
Yet in Sean Holmes's superb production, the play looks less simply confrontational and rebarbative than the stoning suggests. It is intricate, far-reaching and believable. Intervening history – the killing of James Bulger, the Baby P case – may have added to its credibility, but its real force isn't adventitious. The horror begins to look inevitable.
The action uncurls with a series of terrible small blows. A young mother...

I’m still secretly hoping that this is all part of a live action sequel to Brad Bird’s The Iron Giant but with every new image released that dream is looking far more unlikely.
Here’s another image from the production and it’s Maggie and Dennis in their iconic Blue salute and Meryl Streep and Jim Broadbent’s own features seem to be undergoing some strange metamorphosis into those of their originals – I know make up and lighting can do wonders but there’s something unsettling here (more than the obvious).
Anyhoo, along with the two the cast looks like this: Richard E Grant, Olivia Colman, Nicholas Farrell, Susan Brown, Roger Allam, Anthony Head and John Sessions. Nice.
We Are Movie Geeks collected these pictures, and a jolly good job they did.

Remembering "The Young Marrieds" – 45 Years Later
By Rob Wargo
Forty-five years ago – March 25, 1966, to be exact – ABC aired the 380th and final episode of The Young Marrieds, a companion series of sorts to General Hospital, launched approximately 18 months prior to Tym’s debut on October 5, 1964. The series was produced in Los Angeles by Selmur Productions, the same in-house production company responsible for producing General Hospital, and purportedly was set in the same town as Gh, although there was no interaction between the characters in the respective series. Tym was created by James Elward and written by him and Frances Rickett. During its 18 months on the air, Tym faced stiff competition from CBS’ The Edge Of Night and NBC’s You Don't Say. Although the show ranked tenth out of seventeen soaps for the 1965-1966 season, ABC still decided to cancel the series. Tym had replaced Queen For A Day on the ABC Daytime schedule,...

More pictures from the set of Phyllida Lloyd’s film of the life of 80s political Bellatrix Margaret Thatcher, and so far we’ve seen Meryl Streep confuse decades of satirical drubbing by portraying her as more glamourous than history remembers.
While Thatcher’s reign of power is where the film will undoubtedly set the majority of its scene the new pictures below confirm that the early life of Margaret Hilda Roberts will play its part. Alexandra Roach is starring as the young Maggie alongside Harry Lloyd as the younger Denis Thatcher.
Here’s a picture of him,
and here’s the real Denis later in life,
Uncanny. Jim Broadbent stars as the later Denis Thatcher, and the cast is rounded off with Richard E Grant, Olivia Colman, Nicholas Farrell, Susan Brown, Roger Allam, Anthony Head and John Sessions.
