Dirt: Welcome to Normal (2008)
Season 2, Episode 1

Dirts back and better than ever!
3 March 2008
Warning: Spoilers
Dirt returned with a bang. After last season had a bumpy start, and then the finale left us not only wondering of Lucy's (as well as the shows) fate, season 2 came back, and got rid of the sex, the raunchiness and got to a great storyline. The season 2 previews look promising and this first episode definitely lived up to the hype. This season uses stories like(clearly in episode one) Anna Nicole Smith, Paris Hilton, Alec Baldwin and the main focus this season seems to be based off of Brittany Spears(a pop star cutting out all of her hair, making out with another woman at an awards show, etc...). Overall, I think this season of "Dirt" will get new people in, and show the old people that it can only get better.

Only a 6.6?
5 May 2007
Oh my god, I loved this movie. It's a movie for everyone. Beyonce and Jennifer Hudson really do deliver amazing performances. Beyonce's was so underrated and Jennifer Hudson truly did deserve the Oscar. The music was phenomenal and I can't believe this didn't stand out more at the Oscars. A 6.6 really makes this movie seem so underrated. I can't wait for this to come back on Broadway and I will be there opening night. This is so worth a look at. Jamie Foxx, Eddie Murphy, Danny Glover, Anika Noni Rose and Keith Robinson are all great and this really was one of the best movies I have ever seen. Amazing acting, amazing cast, great story, amazing songs...Dreamgirls hits it out of the park.

I liked it
12 December 2006
I love the original classic. I thought this was done very well. Sure, John Goodman wasn't phenomenal, but Harvey Firestein and Michael McKean did the Miser brothers very well. Eddie Griffin was pretty funny too. I thought it did it's best to try to stick to the original, and tried to do make it better.

I only wished there where more of the Miser brothers and Mother Nature. I gave this movie 6/10, because it didn't out-beat the classic, but in my own opinion it came close. It doesn't deserve to be worth any Emmy's or mentioned, but maybe once a year, or what not. Plus, it's got a DVD out...so that means some people must like it.

The Departed (2006)

Definitely worth a year to see
8 October 2006
Okay...I've been dieing to see this movie since like last year when I just had heard about it. Then I found out about all these amazing cast members and that really got me waiting. I saw it last night...and it definitely met my expectations and more. I thought there would be some parts where I would loose it and doze off...but it's 150 minutes...and not a dull moment!

My favorite performance was probably Mark Wahlburgs. I liked him and the way he played his character...and Nicholson better see at least one nomination! I saw Internal Affairs too, but I thought this was far more entertaining, mostly because I knew the actors and what not, but both should be given a shot, and The Departed is well worth the admission fee! 9/10

Best movie of the year IMO
4 June 2006
I loved this movie so much. Hands down one of the best movies of the year. Vince Vaughn was hilarious and Owen Wilson gave his best performance. Rachel McAdams gives one of her two memorable performances of summer '05. The other being Lisa Reisert in "Red Eye". Isla Fisher matches wit with Vaughn in giving the funniest performance in the movie. Chris Walken as always is great in his more of a multi-camio part. The movie has many memorable scenes that kept people talking...one of which involves a shot-gun, crazy brother, psycho grand-ma, delirious girlfriend and a cliché ending with a little "kick" to it. This is by far my favorite movie ever!

Amazing and Underrated
5 May 2006
I loved this movie so much. It was incredible. Jennifer Aniston took a pretty fast turn, and it wasn't her best, but on a scale from 1 to 10 it was an 8. The rest where 10's though. Cassel especially. Perfect for the role. Oh and the twist...you wouldn't see in a million years. Even Clive Owen's kid acting was incredible, which is a shocker because besides a few exceptions, kids usually can't act. Plus, it was pretty realistic. I mean somethings would never happened, but it wasn't completely over the top. I especially loved Xzibit and RZA. Perfect casting in their roles. 10/10

One of my new all time favorites.

Rent's Due!
29 November 2005
This movie left me speechless. Rosario Dawson was fantastic, her performance alone pretty much made the movie for me. Though this movie deals with struggles and at times is very sad, and many people know that, you must accept that their are people out there who are like the people in Rent, and somewhere out there, this may be someone's story, with the exception that in the real world, people don't sing every two seconds, which also reminds me that the songs are fantastic. Some people didn't know what this was, and then they saw it and loved it along with the songs, and I'm not even into musicals and this movie was fantastic. And Chris Columbus did a fantastic job directing. Go see "Rent"
