Exclusive: Judy Greer (White House Plumbers) and Pete Holmes (Crashing) have entered production in Winnipeg on The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, an inspirational comedy that The Chosen‘s Dallas Jenkins is helming for Lionsgate and Kingdom Story Company.
Co-starring in the pic, based on the international bestseller by Barbara Robinson, is Molly Belle Wright (Deep Water).
The film centers on the Herdman kids, who are the absolute worst. They lie, they steal, they bully… and they’ve hijacked the town Christmas pageant. As the rowdy and raucous siblings force themselves into all of the lead roles, they drive the pageant’s director, Grace (Judy Greer), and other members of her family, including husband Bob (Holmes), up the wall. But through their misfit mischief, these unlikely messengers might turn out to be the ones to deliver the town’s sensational and moving portrayal of the true meaning of Christmas.

Feeling stressed out this holiday season? You're not alone. In the short film Midnight Clear (directed by Nightmare Cinema producer Joe Russo), a woman can't shake the feeling that something is horribly wrong, lending a palpable sense of unease to her family's seemingly perfect (maybe too perfect) Christmas celebration.
You can watch Midnight Clear in its entirety below (you might even view your own holiday parties a little differently after watching it), and we also have the short film's official synopsis and a brief background on Russo:
"Playing off a universal socio-political fear, Midnight Clear preys on something lurking in the back of every American’s mind, made all the more frightening by taking place on the day when our guard is down — Christmas."
"Joe Russo is the producer of the upcoming horror anthology feature, Nightmare Cinema, and the critically acclaimed horror podcast, Post Mortem with Mick Garris. In February...

Ever been alone on Christmas Eve? Christmas Day? Ever felt the loss of someone you love so badly you don’t think you can ever go forward with your life? Ever been at the end of your rope and considering something really drastic?
I can’t imagine anyone living who hasn’t been there at some time in their lives. As part of my post duty orders here at We Are Movie Geeks one of my tasks to shine a light on movies that never quite found an audience. Independent, foreign, low budget, direct to video, under the radar films that deserve a wider audience.
And, it being the Christmas season I personally am always looking for something new for the holidays. How many times can you watch Christmas Story? National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation? It’s A Wonderful Life or Christmas Carol? Actually quite a lot apparently, those are all great movies.

This was exactly the Greek I had been waiting for all season. There was witty banter, a party, and all of the core characters in one room. It was classic Greek and it felt good.
As proven on "Midnight Clear," there is nothing like a snow storm to make you face your issues and there could not have been a more fun place than Dobblers for all the awkward questions and kisses.
I know that best friends fight, but I was so over the Casey/Ashleigh argument. With all the relationships that go on in this show, Casey and Ash’s friendship is at the heart and needs to stay that way.
As for Rusty and Ashleigh... Rashleigh? Both of these characters are great, but I'm not sure I can get on board with the romance and tension going on between them. It just doesn’t seem natural.

I’m not one to exaggerate, so you can believe me when I say I have some killer scoop that’s deathly good this week.
Not only did I speak with executive producer Greg Yaitanes about one of the biggest episodes of House you’ve ever seen, Shay Mitchell about Pretty Little Liars, and Craig Thomas about the next few (happy!) episodes of How I Met Your Mother, but I also have a Huge Justin Bieber-related CSI spoiler. Plus there’s Cougar Town casting scoop, Michael and Nikita spoilers, dish from Spartacus: Gods of the Arena ‘s Aussie star Dustin Clare,...

Dallas Jenkins discusses his new movie ‘What If…’
By Michael Aaron Gallagher of StayFamous.Net
As an award-winning director, Dallas Jenkins is making his mark in Hollywood. In his first film since “Midnight Clear” (2006) starring Stephen Baldwin, Jenkins assembled a remarkable cast of actors that includes Kevin Sorbo, Kristy Swanson, John Ratzenberger and Debby Ryan.
Over a 15-day period, “What If…” was filmed in Manistee and Grand Rapids, Michigan using a Red, high-definition camera. The movie tells the story of Ben Walker, a man who made a choice 15 years ago to leave his true calling and is now given the chance to see what his life could have become if he had taken a different path.
I had the chance to ask Director Dallas Jenkins about his new film and what it was like working with the cast. From his favorite movies to some of the actors he would like to work with,...

About two years ago, this Shock writer was able to conduct a career spanning interview with actor-turned-director Keith Gordon over on Icons Of Fright. (Check that out right here .) Genre fans of course recognize him in front of the camera for his performances in Jaws 2 , John Carpenter's Christine and Brian DePalma's Dressed To Kill , as well as the Rodney Dangerfield comedy Back To School . He eventually made the shift over to directing with dramas such as The Midnight Clear and Waking The Dead , but when we initially spoke, he was just tackling episodes from Showtime's second season of Dexter . Now, he's directed episodes in every season and with "Lost Boys", the 10th episode of Dexter season four debuting this Sunday, we thought this was the ideal time...
