Cougar Town Season 5, Episode 5 “Hard On Me”
Written by Mary Fitzgerald
Directed by John Putch
Airs Tuesday nights at 10pm Et on TBS
There aren’t many recurring characters who bring as much gravitas to a comedy as Ken Jenkins does on Cougar Town. Anytime Chick Cobb shows up in town, Cougar Town morphs from a slapstick comedy about 40-somethings into something more existential, using the established father/daughter relationship to explore some of the more difficult, unanswered questions we face as we head into the middle portion of our lives. “Hard On Me” is no exception: even when it’s not focused on Chick and his Alzheimer’s, death (in the form of an infected Ellie) hangs over the entire episode, a symbolic reminder of life’s cruelest inevitability whenever Chick isn’t on-screen.
As expected, Chick’s presence yanks the attention away from anything else going on this season,...

Supernatural: What Will Happen to Bobby? (Poll)
The midseason finale of Supernatural left us with a cliffhanger. Sure, you can all point to the fact that the watch stopped ticking as proof that Bobby's time ran out, but I don't think that's the case. I think the point of the ending was it was meant to be ambiguous and we'll (hopefully) learn Bobby's fate when Supernatural returns tonight.
But that ending has got me thinking - and agonizing - for the last month. What did happen to Bobby? And, depending on what did happen, what could happen to Bobby going forward?
I really enjoyed the Supernatural poll I posted a few weeks ago, asking readers to vote on how Misha Collins and Castiel would return to the show, and I think Bobby's fate is an opportune time to examine the possibilities and have all of you...

As Hollywood continues to remake classic films, so far, the works of Alfred Hitchcock [1] have remained relatively untainted. Of course there's Gun van Sant's Psycho, pseudo remakes [2] like Disturbia and The Truth About Charlie and other films [3] in development [4] but considering the huge amount of movies [5] Hitchcock made, it's pretty surprising that we don't have a new remake being released every single month. According to Moviehole, that trend might be starting, as Piranha 3D screenwriter Josh Stolberg has co-written a remake of the 1955 Cary Grant and Grace Kelly heist film To Catch a Thief, produced by Neal Moritz, and it's already casting. Read his quote and more after the jump. In speaking with Moviehole [6], Stolberg (who also wrote Sorority Row and Good Luck Chuck) said the following: I wrote, with Bobby [Florsheim], a remake of 'To Catch a Thief' for Paramount. Neal Moritz is producing, and it’s exciting...

Despite the apparent serious nature of the October 29 new episode of Supernatural (as evidence in the promo and a sneak peek we previously posted), it looks like we’ll be getting some humor, as you can see in the sneak peek from Canada’s Space Channel below. Oh, Bobby, can you ever fail to make us laugh? Likely not. Although, truth be told, I always suspected there was more to Bobby than meets the eye. After all, a guy who spends that much time at home has to have some extra-curricular activities. And you just know they went beyond what we saw in “Weekend at Bobby’s”. Of course Bobby watches horrible reality shows and gets pedicures. Only Jim Beaver could sell it like that.
Check out the sneak peek below, along with the Space trailer. You can also view promo photos for this episode, as well as information about...

If you watched last week’s episode of Supernatural, then you know something is seriously wrong with Sam (if you missed it, read our recap here). On the October 29 new episode, we are hopefully going to get closer to understanding what’s going on with Sam. Dean, no longer a vampire and deeply suspicious of his brother, seeks help from both Bobby and Cas to discover what’s going on. When people are cursed with having to tell the truth, he also demands answers from Sam himself.
We’ve already posted promo photos and a trailer for the upcoming episode and now The CW has released a sneak peek. It looks like Dean is back to dealing with stress with his old proven methods – drinking excessively, making threats and being broody.

The situation between the brothers come to what looks like a violent head in the October 29 new episode of Supernatural. If you missed the most recent episode “Live Free or Twi-hard”, you can read our review here. In the October 29 episode Dean reveals to Bobby that Sam allowed him to be turned into a vampire and then confronts his brother when the brothers stumble upon a truth curse. Sam may not respond, or he may not give Dean answers that he likes – but either way, there’s a Winchester boxing match coming our way.

Bobby Brown secretly dated Madonna before finding long-term love with Whitney Houston, he reveals in his new autobiography.
The R+B star claims he successfully seduced "half the industry" after moving on from teen band New Edition and finding success as a solo artist.
And his tell-all book Bobby Brown: The Truth, the Whole Truth and Nothing But..., insists no one was immune to his charms, even the Material Girl.
He writes, "By the time I reached my third single on the Don't Be Cruel album, I was one of the biggest stars in the world. You know what that means. With success comes the women! A wise man once told me that. At this time, I probably had dated half of the industry, including Madonna.
"I met Madonna early in my career. She used to open up shows for New Edition in New York at the beginning of her career, so running back into her and getting to know her better at the height of my success was like a reunion. The list goes on from the who's who to the flavor of the month."
Houston this week hit out at the book, that also reveals lurid claims about her drug habits and sexuality.
Her spokesperson said, "Miss Houston is sad that Bobby feels he needs to say such things, but she chooses to take the high road and will not speak badly about the father of her child, even if it's to set the record straight."...

Latest: Bobby Brown has hit back at reports his upcoming autobiography will be nothing more than an attack on his ex-wife Whitney Houston, insisting he has nothing bad to say about her.
Publishing insiders claimed Brown's memoirs, Being Bobby Brown: The Truth, The Whole Truth And Nothing But..., would be nothing but a nasty expose on his ex, but the R+B star insists nothing could be further from the truth.
Brown tells In Touch magazine, "I don't have anything bad to say about her. She should have no worries. There's no mess in this book."
Instead, Brown plans to talk about legal and drug problems and reveal he romanced Janet Jackson and Madonna.
He adds, "The book is really good. I'm not a complex person.
"I'm just trying to maintain a certain amount of integrity - and a certain amount of bad boy-ness.
"I think the story needs to be told from my point of view. I still have kids that are in school right now so I have to do what I have to do. Daddy doesn't stop working."
The book is scheduled to hit stores on 13 May.

Bobby Brown is dishing on his rocky marriage to Whitney Houston in a new tell-all autobiography – but she's not letting his accusations affect her. In this, the latest installment of the couple's long-running marital feud, Brown says of his ex, "I never used cocaine until after I met Whitney." Details from the 39-year-old pop star's book, Bobby Brown: The Truth, the Whole Truth and Nothing But, began surfacing Thursday in the New York Post. Before Whitney, Brown writes: "I had experimented with other drugs, but marijuana was my drug of choice." Whitney's rep responded in a statement to People:...

R+B singer Bobby Brown has accused his ex-wife Whitney Houston of only marrying him in a bid to save her tarnished reputation - insisting the union was "doomed from the very beginning".
The couple married in 1992, but their 15-year union was officially dissolved last year.
And now Brown has launched a scathing attack on his former lover in his forthcoming autobiography Bobby Brown: The Truth, the Whole Truth and Nothing But - blaming Houston for the breakdown of their relationship and insisting she married him for all the wrong reasons.
He writes, "(The marriage was) was doomed from the very beginning. Now, I realize Whitney had a different agenda than I did when we got married. I believe her agenda was to clean up her image, while mine was to be loved and have children.
"The media was accusing her of having a bisexual relationship with her assistant, Robin Crawford. Since she was the American Sweetheart, that didn't go too well with her image.
"In Whitney's situation, the only solution was to get married and have kids. That would kill all speculation. I think I got caught up in the politics and ended up marrying one of the biggest stars in the world."...

Latest: R+B superstar Whitney Houston is upset Bobby Brown has gone public with damaging claims about their 15-year marriage in his new autobiography.
Brown has revealed all in his forthcoming tome Bobby Brown: The Truth, The Whole Truth And Nothing But..., in which he blames Houston for the breakdown of their relationship and insists she married him for all the wrong reasons.
In one chapter, the 39-year-old singer even claims Houston is responsible for getting him hooked on hard drugs.
He writes: "I never used cocaine until after I met Whitney. Before then, I had experimented with other drugs, but marijuana was my drug of choice.
"At one point in my life, I used drugs uncontrollably. I was using everything I could get my hands on, from cocaine to heroin, weed and cooked cocaine."
Houston has since responded to the allegations and expressed her disappointment at the deterioration of their relationship - but she refuses to hit back with accusations of her own.
