This article contains spoilers for “Winning Time” Episodes 9 and 10.
After nine episodes of ups and downs, the season finale of “Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty” finally showed us what the title is all about. The show began with the Lakers drafting Earvin “Magic” Johnson (Quincy Isaiah) before the start of the 1979 season, so it’s only natural that it ends with the 1980 NBA championships.
With the coaching drama between Jack McKinney (Tracy Letts), Paul Westhead (Jason Segel) and Pat Riley (Adrien Brody) resolved at last (for now – “Winning Time” has already been renewed for a second season), the focus of the final episode rests on the Lakers’ last two games against the Philadelphia 76ers.
While “Winning Time” has been always been liberal with dramatic license, the season finale reflects just how theatrical Games 5 and 6 actually were. Like Magic said after winning the championship, “It’s unbelievable” – at least it would be,...

Winner of multiple awards in Cannes along with major wins for Best First Film via the César Awards, Louis Delluc Prize and French Syndicate of Cinema Critics), French filmmaker Thomas Cailley is finally setting up shop for his sophomore film and he has three marquee talents to work with. Financial support news tells us that he lassoed Adèle Exarchopoulos, Romain Duris and the up-and-comer Paul Kircher (who recently completed Christophe Honoré’s Le Lycéen) for a project that has a whiff of War Games and Planet of the Apes. Produced by Nord-Ouest Films’ Pierre Guyard, production is set for May, so this will be looking at the Croisette for a 2023 premiere.…...

Back in the distant days of VHS (showing my age here) over in the UK, there was a video label “Made in Hong Kong”. As I began to watch Hong Kong movies, I would await the next release with true fan boy excitement. The promo trailer reel that would open the release would invariably start with one I’m about to review and as soon as the theme hits, you immediately just want to watch it. So, does it hold up now over 30 years after its original release or has its charm faded into the midst of time?

There's something wrong with Ana de Armas and Ben Affleck ...and it's that "Deep Water" isn't debuting right this second so we have a new dangerously horny film to watch on Valentine's Day. The highly-anticipated erotic thriller from Adrian Lyne was delayed multiple times due to the pandemic and the Disney-Fox Merger, but it finally has a release date of March 18, 2022 as an exclusive original for Hulu in the United States. The film is the latest adaptation of the work of masterful queer author Patricia Highsmith, who gave us "Strangers on a Train,"...

We’ve almost made it to the end of 2021, and what a rollercoaster year it has been. As the world slowly but surely emerge from the prolonged lockdown, this winter holiday feels almost halfway back to normal. If you’re still concerned about the fate of “The Bachelorette” in a post-coronavirus world, don’t worry. “Clare [Crawley]’s season is happening 100 percent,” Rob Mills, ABC’s head of alternative programming, told our sister site “Variety,” confirming that producers are hoping to have the 16th season ready by September.
“If I’m being realistic, it would probably be mid-summer that we start [filming],” Mills said, adding that the installment would then premiere in the fall.
Earlier this month, Reality Steve reported that producers were planning a five-week production on “The Bachelorette” in July and August at a private resort closed to the public with everyone involved getting tested for Covid-19, with an eye toward a September premiere. It would basically be “Bachelor in Quarantine,” with no international travel, and everyone will have to stay on campus.

In keeping with the secret agent theme accompanying Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2, Epic Games has introduced a brand new limited-time mode to the battle royale that’s sure to put your skills to the test.
Following on from Dropzone and Knockout earlier in the season, Operation: Payload pits two teams of eight against each other in a battle of attrition for control of valuable – and presumably top-secret – intel. As the defending team, your mission (if you choose to accept it) is to defend a mysterious truck on Apollo Island containing all sorts of sensitive information. This is no ordinary escort mission, of course, as you’ll be required to fend off repeated tacks from the opposing team whose objective is to destroy everything, including you.

The movie adaptation of the upcoming “The Hunger Games” prequel book “The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes” from author Suzanne Collins is a go at Lionsgate, and the creative team from the original films, including director Francis Lawrence, is all returning for the new film, Lionsgate motion picture group chairman Joe Drake announced Tuesday.
Lawrence, who directed “Catching Fire” and both “Mockingjay” films, will direct “The Hunger Games” prequel. Collins will write a treatment based on her upcoming novel, Color Force’s Nina Jacobson is returning to the franchise to produce, and Michael Arndt, who wrote “Catching Fire,” will pen the screenplay.

Hannah Brown won’t be the Bachelorette again (for now), but she could be back on your TV screen soon: The Bachelor Nation fan favorite might join “The Bachelor Summer Games.”
“Hannah B., too, has also said, ‘I find this interesting’ because she likes to win. She likes to win,” Rob Mills, ABC’s head of alternative programming, revealed on SiriusXM’s “The Bachelor Recap.”
Like “The Bachelor Winter Games” two years ago opposite the Pyeongchang Olympics, “Summer Games” will air as counterprogramming to the upcoming Summer Olympics in Tokyo (though you really should be watching the Olympics if you ask us), featuring Bachelor Nation stars from international editions competing in summer sports and for each other’s hearts, of course.

Clare Crawley will be the oldest lead on “The Bachelorette” at a real-world young, but a Bachelor Nation old 38, and she doesn’t care what you say about her age.
“A lot of people put it out there as this negative thing, but for me, it’s just more years under my belt, more learning and knowing what I want, what I don’t want, and what I won’t settle for,” Crawley, who turns 39 on March 20, said on Monday’s “Good Morning America” after she was revealed to be the next Bachelorette (watch above).

Brace yourselves, Bachelor Nation - The Bachelor is getting another spinoff just in time for the Summer Olympics! Following the success of The Bachelor Winter Games, the franchise is adding a Summer version of the series when the Olympics take place in Tokyo this July.
