Fun Stuff

Trivia:
The characters' full names are: - Rachel Karen Green - Phoebe Buffay (in "The One Where They All Turn Thirty" 7.14, she says that never knew her middle name since she had never seen her birth certificate and her twin sister, Ursula, had sold it to a Swedish runaway) - Joseph Francis Tribbiani Jr - Chandler Muriel Bing - Ross Eustace Geller - Monica E. Geller (her exact middle name is never revealed throughout all 10 seasons). more
Goofs:
Continuity: In early seasons there are wood boards in Monica's apartment that go from the floor to the ceiling. In later seasons there are only wood boards by the fridge. In fact, certain directors for the show enjoyed putting their own mark on the episodes they directed. In the case of the visible wooden beam furthest "downstage" it was known as the mark of James Burrows, and would appear every time he directed an episode. more
Quotes:
Phoebe: Hey. Why isn't it Spidermen? You know, like Goldmen, Silvermen.
Chandler: Because, it... it's not his last name.
Phoebe: It isn't?
Chandler: No. It's not like Phil Spidermen. He's a spider *man*. You know, like Goldmen is a last name but there's no gold man.
Phoebe: Oh, oh okay...
Phoebe: There should *be* a gold man!

Ask anybody which TV-show is their favorite, and they are most likely to say "Friends". Since the first episode premiered in America in September 1994, millions of people tune in every week to see Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Joey, Chandler and Ross cope with their lives in Manhattan.

Before "Friends", the six actors who play the main characters were all unknown. Today, Jennifer, Courteney, Lisa, Matt, Matthew and David are six of the most known people in the world.

what is it that makes this show so funny? I don't even know if I can answer that. For the past ten years, the world have been able to follow the gang's lives, which are very funny. Can it be Chandler's jokes, Monica's pedantidity, Phoebe's songs or Joey's stupidity that makes Friends to the most liked TV-show in the history? My answer would be that all of the six main characters contribute in their own special ways. Alone, they are useless because something's obviously missing, but together, they complete each other which results in six hilarious people.

The first seasons were funnier than the later, but the show is still great, and it's very sad that they have decided to cancel it. But that's understandable, since quitting when they are at the very top is better than to be forced to quit because of low ratings.
