Fans have been awaiting the next Bigby Wolf adventure since The Wolf Among Us 2 was announced in 2019. Excitement rose when Telltale Games recently confirmed the game’s production. Now as new images surface on the internet, speculations could transpire surrounding the central protagonist’s next journey. Details regarding the release are thin on the ground but the game was said to arrive in 2024.
At least the fans can now take a sigh of relief that the developers aren’t pulling the plug on the sequel. The original game didn’t just receive a pat on the back, it became a cult among the fans. It consists of five episodes where the sheriff of Fabletown solves a series of murders that occurred in a long time.

Where do you stand on the 1985 film version of “The Color Purple,” which was nominated for 11 Academy Awards, but won none? Some feel it wasn’t Steven Spielberg’s story to tell. Others marvel at how a director of the upbringing depicted in “The Fabelmans” managed to recognize and reflect so many aspects of Black culture: the music, the spirituality, the multiple catharses to which it builds. Looking back, Spielberg did justice to Alice Walker’s Pulitzer-winning novel, but he also left room to expand and improve.
Now, nearly four decades later, a rousing new version arrives from director Blitz Bazawule, who collaborated with Beyoncé on her 2020 visual album “Black Is King.” Instead of rejecting what came before, the Ghanian filmmaker embraces and builds upon it, collaborating with Spielberg, Quincy Jones and Oprah Winfrey to update the material for the next generation (all three serve as producers). The main change,...

This article contains spoilers for the Oct. 31 episode of “Dancing With the Stars”
The nine remaining couples on “Dancing With the Stars” hit the dance floor in costume as vampires, werewolves and skeletons on Tuesday night, which also happened to be Halloween.
The season’s first dance marathon gave the points edge to Marvel star Xochitl Gomez, who had been tied at the top of the leaderboard with “Vanderpump Rules” star Ariana Madix after their solo dances.
For her gothic Argentine Tango, Madix was a harpy and Pasha Pashkov was a harpy slayer as they danced to an instrumental version of “Bad Guy” by Billie Eilish. Guest judge Niecy Nash proclaimed it was “amazing” and “so beautiful,” adding, “I am obsessed with you.”Bruno Tonioli raved, “This is how you do it!” of the note-perfect dance. Carrie Ann Inaba told Pons, “I think you have what it takes to win it.

In a move with potentially large implications, the creator of the groundbreaking DC Comics series “Fables” says he has released it into the public domain. The transition will take effect Friday.
“Fables,” which originally ran from 2002-2015 as part of DC’s Vertigo imprint, was created under a deal that gave Willingham sole ownership, the writer explained in a statement released Thursday. And the decision to give it away comes in response to what he described as years of bad faith dealings from DC Comics and its parent company (Warner Bros. Discovery).
Philosophically, Willingham said he opposes the current state of copyright law and doesn’t want to be a hypocrite. But he also described “a revolving door of strangers, of no measurable integrity, who now choose to interpret every facet of our contract in ways that only benefit DC Comics and its owner companies” that replaced the people he initially contracted with.

There’s a lot of talk about how 2022 was a ‘flop’ year for film. The quality of the movies was constantly called into question without considering that many of these films were shot during the height of the pandemic where money, space, and resources were limited. Regardless of what anyone thinks, this year produced some phenomenal cinema, with even better performances. My best of 2022 list is meant to highlight some of the titles that left an impression on me. The choices range across genres from action, drama, documentary, and animation.
What are your top ten films of the year? Did you struggle finding movies to fill slots? Let me know in the comments!

"Puss in Boots: The Last Wish" is surprisingly one of the best animated movies of the year. It's a DreamWorks movie with an edgier-than-usual story about death and embracing life. It's inspired by spaghetti westerns, with action scenes resembling anime and visuals that play with 2D and 3D to resemble a storybook in its stylization. The sequel introduces us to an ensemble of fantastical characters that fit right into the heightened fairy-tale universe of the "Shrek" franchise, each with a unique personality and a deep desire that drives them to seek out a legendary wishing star for their own needs.
There's Goldie and the Three Bears, reimagined as a Guy Ritchie-esque criminal gang, and the Big Bad Wolf, who has a surprising alter-ego. Then there's Perrito, an original character and the tritagonist of the film. He's the ugliest character ever introduced in the "Shrek" universe, the most tragic, and the sweetest.

Plot: Puss in Boots is back, and this time he is nearly out of his nine lives. Thankfully he may have an answer. With the legend of a lost star that can grant a single wish, he and his pals seek out this magical item in hopes to prolong his kitty lives.
Review: The cat is back. Over a decade after the first cat-centric adventure, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish makes a swashbuckling return to the big screen. Antonio Banderas is back as Puss, along with his on-and-off romantic interest, Kitty Softpaws (Salma Hayek). This time, the cast includes a good-hearted undercover puppy played by by the scene-stealer Harvey Guillén. Florence Pugh as Goldilocks, and her three bears are all terrific. John Mulaney shows up as the adult version of Jack Horner – if you remember the nursery rhyme – and he embraces it rather well. And William Moura is delightfully...

Now, what would make this most “magical time of the year” more magical? How about a return visit from several of our favorite fairy tale friends? Oh, but hold up, this new release isn’t another animated romp with those two green lovebirds and their donkey Bff. But you’re close as its focus is another pal of theirs. It’s not his first solo outing, rather it’s a long-awaited (eleven years) follow-up. And talk about magic, it’s the big goal of him and all the other characters in Puss In Boots: The Last Wish. En Garde, kitty-cat…
After a brief prologue telling us about the legendary “wishing star” we’re tossed into the midst of a raucous party thrown by everybody’s “favorite fearless hero”, Puss in Boots (voice of Antonio Banderas), And wouldn’t you know it, the owner of the “locale estate” makes an unexpected return.

One of the company’s secret releases for their Black Friday Sale, Vinegar Syndrome has just given 1996’s Freeway a 4K Ultra HD upgrade and it’s packed with fresh new material.
The modern take on Little Red Riding Hood was directed by Matthew Bright, with Reese Witherspoon as Little Red Riding Hood and Kiefer Sutherland as the Big Bad Wolf.
Vinegar Syndrome writes, “Among the most notorious and jaw dropping “mainstream” movies of the 90s, Freeway has earned a reputation as a neo-exploitation classic and critically acclaimed indie thriller thanks to its unhinged violence, sharply written dialogue, and general non-stop barrage on good taste, all wrapped up as one truly twisted fairytale.

“Shrek” was the film that put DreamWorks Animation on the map and, for better or worse, convinced an entire industry to switch their attention from the old world charm of hand-drawn children’s films to the modern frontier of CGI animation. The sequel, “Shrek 2,” introduced something even more important: The Antonio Banderas-voiced, Zorro-inspired Puss in Boots, a swashbuckling ginger cat with a tiny sword, a smart pair of boots, and an adorable pair of enormous kitten eyes. He got his own movie in 2011 after the main Shrek quadrilogy was finished, and its long-awaited follow-up, “Puss in Boots: The Last Wish,” finally debuts this year.
Puss in Boots (Banderas) has spent a lifetime performing daring deeds and laughing in the face of death. Eight lifetimes, in fact: after a particularly heroic battle, Puss finds out that he’s used up almost all of his nine lives, and only has one left.

Is it possible to have sympathy for a universally recognized “bad guy” like the Big Bad Wolf? Well, “Revolting Rhymes,” one of this year’s five nominees at the Oscars for Best Animated Short Film, looks to do just that. Based on the stories by Roald Dahl, The British short marks the second bids for both Jakob Schuh and Jan Lachauer. Schuh was nominated in this category in 2010 for “The Gruffalo” and Lachauer was also nominated in this category in 2013 for “Room on the Broom.”
When a woman enters a restaurant, the Big Bad Wolf follows her inside and sits with her in the same booth. She says she is about to babysit the children across from the diner. He sees she has a book of fairy tales and laments how the book doesn’t portray the characters accurately. He also mentions that he used to have two nephews and...

If they win this, they are officially the greatest body builder in the world. Early in the documentary Generation Iron, bodybuilding icon Arnold Schwarzenegger observes that "Bodybuilding falls into this unique category of being a sport, entertainment, being a way of life, and art." It's an uneasy quartet of ideas forced to harmonize within bodies intentionally made freakish and/or beautiful. Director Vlad Yudin spends a year tracking the brutal physical, mental, and spiritual training of seven top competitors (including such all-stars as Phil Heath, Kai Greene, Branch Warren, and Dennis Wolf) for the Mr. Olympia title, and ends up with a gorgeous meditation on age-old existential concerns. As the men work through their regimens and go about daily struggles to balance personal lives and career goals (struggles which take place on farms, in McMansions, and...
