This article contains Fear the Walking Dead spoilers through season 8 episode 1.
The eighth and final season of Fear The Walking Dead is now underway, and from the shocking deaths of major characters to nuclear attacks on Texas by a cult, it’s sure been a wild ride. Nowhere is that more true than with Alicia Clark (Alycia Debnam-Carey), who’s been here since the pilot and has the scars to show it.
Kicking off the final season with an episode title like “Remember What They Took From You” seems to be setting us up for major catharsis by the end of things. For a character like Alicia, who has lost so much but has kept a sense of optimism, the role she plays (if she plays a role at all) may be a key to unlocking the themes of the final season. But first, we’re going to have to figure out where she is.

When Fear the Walking Dead returns for Season 8, it will be without one of its most popular stars.
Following plenty of speculation, Alycia Debnam-Carey announced on social media Sunday night that she was leaving the AMC post-apocalyptic drama series after seven seasons.
The post was timed to the airing of Fear the Walking Dead Season 7 Episode 15, which found Alicia (Debnam-Carey) telling everyone else to leave the radiation-filled area in rafts.
If you watch Fear the Walking Dead online, you know Alicia had been battling a mystery illness after being bitten by a walker.
The series left fans on a bit of a cliffhanger when it showed a seemingly cured Alicia waking up on a beach, leading to speculation that the character didn't survive.

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for Fear the Walking Dead Season 7, Episode 14, “Divine Providence.”] At last, the long-awaited Tower War is here… but it wasn’t as deadly as you might’ve imagined. Rather than committing to a full-scale battle, most of the episode is dedicated to exploring Alicia Clark (Alycia Debnam-Carey) and Victor Strand’s (Colman Domingo) fractured relationship — you know, with explosions and stuff going on in the background. Strand still very much cares about her, at one point referring to her as the “closest thing [he has] to a daughter” and outright telling her that he loves her. Alicia, on the other hand, is willing to negotiate for peace but not forgive Strand’s many lethal transgressions. In the end, they’re too far apart ideologically to be the friends they once were; Alicia now believes in protecting life at any cost while Strand’s more pragmatic approach saves his family even if the cost is ...

News of the casting comes after it was reported that production was shuttered in the Dominican Republic after crew members walked off the set over a pay dispute.
Debnam-Carey is set to play Emily, a "sharp and ambitious woman whose carefully constructed, seemingly perfect life begins to crumble."

Hulu’s upcoming series Saint X is undergoing a major casting change. Victoria Pedretti (You) who had been tapped as the lead, has departed the psychological drama over creative differences. [Warning: The following contains spoilers for Fear The Walking Dead Season 7 Episode 11, “Ofelia.”] After seven seasons of playing Alicia Clark on Fear The Walking Dead, Alycia Debnam-Carey has stepped into a new role: director. Debnam-Carey talked to TV Insider about which scene she was most excited (and most nervous) to shoot, how she felt about putting Luciana (Danay Garcia) front and center in her episode, and — as a bonus! — we’ve included an excellent question that fellow Fear actor Omid Abtahi asked her during Fear’s preview junket. Lauren “Lo” Smith/AMC During the preview junket, you said you were excited to direct on Fear because you know the show like the back of your hand. How did your longevity on the series play into the choices you made behind the camera? [Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for Fear the Walking Dead Season 7, Episode 9, “Follow Me.”] It’s pretty clear that all is not well with Alicia Clark (Alycia Debnam-Carey). When Season 7 of Fear resumes, Alicia is being tormented with nightmares, fevers and all matters of ailments both from the physical after-effects of her bite (or the amputation) and her guilt over what happened with Arno’s (Spenser Granese) group — guilt that is literally hunting her as Arno will not let it go. By the end of the episode, Alicia’s head is on a bit more straight, and she’s realized that she needs to trust herself to build a community stronger than Victor Strand’s (Colman Domino) people in the Tower. But we still have a ton of questions about what’s ahead in her journey, so we picked the brains of co-showrunners Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg for all the intel. Read on for more...

In Strand's mind, this tower is a safe haven that is free from the perils of the outside world.
But the latest group of villains are here to prove otherwise.
The scene is filled with twists and turns as Morgan and Strand react to the developments, and the Tower begins to shake due to an explosive.

Somewhere on the ever-growing list of TV shows that need to be watched is AMC’s “Fear the Walking Dead.” Now in its fifth season, national treasure Kim Dickens is long gone and so is original cast member Frank Dillane. The new leads of the show now are essentially Lennie James as Morgan Jones (originally from “The Walking Dead” flagship show) and Alycia Debnam-Carey as Alicia Clark; though originals like Colman Domingo and Rubén Blades are still around.

Fear the Walking Dead is gearing up for a summer Season 5 return, with a potentially game-changing concept for the Dead TV universe.
Fear the Walking Dead premieres its fifth season in June, arriving after the landscape of its mothership series, The Walking Dead, was significantly altered – not only because of the exits of main cast members, but a six-year time jump. Consequently, spinoff series Fear – which started as a prequel, and, at one point, jumped ahead – is now back to being a prequel. However, that is not to say that Fear won’t be bringing new concepts to the shared-universe series. Indeed, the showrunners are – with typical ambiguity – teasing a game-changer.

AMC's summer programming will heat up with the return of Fear the Walking Dead on Sunday, June 2 at 9/8c.
The official trailer for Fear the Walking Dead Season 5 dropped on Sunday during the show's WonderCon panel, and it was filled with surprises.
Two of those big surprises revolve around appearances of characters we've met before:
Daniel Salazar who has cheated death on more than one occasion at this stage returns and wastes no time in breaking the ice between him and Strand.

Two of those big surprises revolve around appearances of characters we've met before:
Daniel Salazar who has cheated death on more than one occasion at this stage returns and wastes no time in breaking the ice between him and Strand.

Then there's Dwight from The Walking Dead. If you watch The Walking Dead online, you know that Daryl ousted the reformed savior and allowed him to make an escape.
However, Daryl warned that he would kill him if he ever laid eyes on him again. It looks like Dwight skipped several states with the aim of steering clear of his frenemy.

Close’s performance in The Wife is stirring talk of a best actress Oscar nomination. We rank her very best films
A newspaper office is the site of one of Ron Howard’s and Glenn Close’s most underrated films. She is Alicia Clark, the formidable managing editor of the fictional paper the New York Sun, and is responsible for cutbacks and continually at loggerheads with a mercurial reporter, played by Michael Keaton. It is a very good “corporate” role for Close – a style that probably found its greatest expression in the TV show Damages.

Alycia Jasmin Debnam-Carey is the actress behind Alicia Clark on Fear The Walking Dead. While she may be best known for her role as Clark in the world of horror series and movies, Debnam-Carey has quite an impressive background in the arts. Born in 1993 in Australia, she attended a high school for Performance Arts, where she graduated with top grades in 2011. Her decision to attend this high school could have something to do with the fact that she has acted since she was just eight-years-old. While Fear The Walking Dead may be one of her biggest success stories […]

Warning: Spoilers ahead for Season 4, Episode 10 of “Fear the walking Dead”
In last night’s episode of “Fear the Walking Dead,” the storm we’ve been building up to has arrived in full force — the physical storm, and the metaphorical one that has been bubbling inside of Alicia Clark (Alycia Debnam-Carey).
“I think what was so special about this episode is that I’ve been waiting for Alicia to have some sort of relief for a long time,” Debnam-Carey told TheWrap after the episode aired. “I’ve been waiting for the opportunity to see her be able to come to terms with [the death of her family].”
And relief does come, but not until after being stuck inside a house with her nemesis, Charlie (Alexa Nisenson) — who “is symbolic of killing her entire family, very literally” — and a close brush with death.

Glenn Close got her start on Broadway in the ‘70s, appearing in such shows as “Barnum,” and made-for-tv movies including “Too Far to Go” and “The Orphan Train.” She was 35 at the time of her big-screen debut in 1982’s “The World According to Garp.” But Close swiftly made up for lost time by racking up three back-to-back supporting actress Oscar nominations for “Garp,” “The Big Chill” and “The Natural.” With “Fatal Attraction,” “Dangerous Liaisons” and “Albert Nobbs,” she would add three lead actress nods to her total, and currently holds the record as a living actress with the most Academy Award nominations – six – without a win.
That Academy Award losing streak might come at the 2019 Oscars, thanks to Close’s tour de force star performance as the put-upon spouse of a womanizing, self-absorbed novelist (Jonathan Pryce) who wins the Nobel Prize in literature in “The Wife,” opening Aug. 17. An early...

There's a storm coming, one that's about to push the uneasy alliance at the heart of Fear the Walking Dead to its already fragile limits.
At its Comic-Con panel, the AMC zombie drama unveiled a brand-new trailer for the second half of its fourth season, currently on hiatus until August. It's the first official glimpse at what to expect from the continuing adventures of Morgan Jones (Lennie James), Alicia Clark (Alycia Debnam-Carey) and their fellow traveling companions since the highly divisive midseason finale, in which original series lead Kim Dickens' Madison was killed off against the star's ...

Comic-Con panels don’t start until Thursday and they are still unpacking the last of the hardware and memorabilia in the exhibit halls at the San Diego Convention Center. But out on the city’s streets, the battle for eyeballs is already going strong, with FX’s upcoming Mayans M.C., The Walking Dead, Amazon’s Jack Ryan and a deep-bench Marvel positioned to capture the most marketing attention on the jam-packed skyline of the City in Motion.

For sheer size and location, Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter and FX’s September 4-debuting Latino biker series looks to have the edge with a takeover of the front of the Hilton Bayfront, right next to the convention center. At the end of civilization, zombies greatly outnumber people and every day is a fight to see tomorrow. Just when he is about to give up this fight, rugged wanderer John Knox winds up being saved by a ragtag group of survivors. After initial suspicion, Knox proves his worth and slips into his new family in the wasteland. However when a war party of maniacal raiders assaults the camp they kidnap Sarah, Knox’s love interest and it’s up to Knox and the few who escaped the attack to gather what resources they can (including zombies!) to launch an all-or-nothing rescue mission on the raiders’ home fortress.
Seeing it as another low-budget zombie flick, I had little hope for Zombie Horde – however despite some flaws,...

What is up Fiends! It's another great day as the darkness looms overhead! I feel like taking my black carriage out for a spin to haunt the locals! But first, I wanted to let you all in on this week's episode of The Dungeon!
This week we had the badass as well as beautiful, Patricia Tallman visiting the show. Genre geeks the world over know her from Army Of Darkness, "Babylon Five", "Star Trek", and of course, the gun totin' model of Barbara in the excellent 1990's remake of Night Of The Living Dead!
I was joined by my "Terror Team" of Hollywood F/X Master, Thomas Surprenant as well as the lovely "Demoness" Apocalypse Amy Lynes. The entire team was accounted for after all the undead hi-jinks that occurred last week. Also joining us as a special guest co-host is yje co-writer/director of Night Of The Living Dead 2012, my horrorpunk brother,...
