The Good Shepherd are delighted to announce that legendary singer/songwriter Robert Plant Cbe has become a patron of the Wolverhampton-based charity.
Robert Plant Becomes Good Shepherd Patron
The rock icon has been a long-time supporter of the work of the Good Shepherd, but has now stepped up his backing to become a patron, including supporting the creation of a new trainee scheme offering two paid trainee roles within the organisation for people with lived experience of homelessness and other issues.
These trainees have both been participants on the Good Shepherd’s Leap programme and these roles – embedded to support service users accessing the charity – form a key part of their recovery journey.
Robert has taken a keen interest in the long-standing Wolverhampton charity for many years, and invited representatives to have a presence at his concert at The Halls last December to raise awareness of their work, providing food...

If the Jacob Elordi “Saltburn” bath water candles are sold out, just blame his co-star Barry Keoghan.
“I already have 10 of them,” Keoghan joked with me Wednesday night at the opening of the Louis Vuitton pop-up in West Hollywood. “They’re all burning at my house right now.”
At least, we think he was joking.
The candle, available on Etsy for $27.91 and on Amazon for $36, is inspired by a scene in “Saltburn” when Oliver (Keoghan) slurps and drinks the used bath water that Felix (Elordi) was masturbating in minutes before. The product description reads, “There’s nothing quite like the smell of a quality candle, particularly when that smell is inspired by Jacob Elordi and what we imagine His Highness to smell like.”
The scent comes in three flavors: vanilla, comfort spice and sea breeze. The candle is being sold by Side Hustle Vibes, which also offers Drake’s bathwater,...

Remember when Elvis Presley met Richard Nixon and the president gave the King a badge from the Federal Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs, the DEA’s predecessor? Netflix’s new animated comedy series “Agent Elvis” takes that surreal premise and runs with it, turning Elvis into a secret agent who travels the world battling threats to the U.S. of A. under the cover of his job as the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll. On Wednesday, Netflix revealed a trailer for the series, which premieres Friday, March 17, and announced the rest of the voice cast. Animation fans are eating good. Between anime being more popular and accessible than ever before, major studios experimenting with visual styles, and streaming giving an avenue to auteurs to make passion projects — even giving stop-motion the comeback it so dearly deserves — this is a great time to be a fan of one of the oldest filmmaking mediums there is.
Still, with so much animation comes the fact that not everything is special or outstanding. But every once in a while there comes a project, a movie or a film that fully understands the medium of animation's ability to deliver stories in a different reality — be it a heightened reality that feels mostly like ours, or a cartoony one. These projects remind us of how special animation is, both to deliver exquisitely artful stories or just cuckoo bananas, off-the-wall, incredibly silly yet fun experiences.
The latter is why I've been so...

There are many layers to the mystique of the Chelsea Hotel. Long before it became a hipster hangout, the 12-story, 250-room fortress, built in the 1880s, was home to Mark Twain. In the ’50s, the Chelsea played host to assorted literary figures, the first of whom to lend it a dissolute aura was Dylan Thomas, who was living the lush life in room 205 when he became ill and died in 1953. The beats moved in, and so did Arthur Miller after he divorced Marilyn Monroe and Arthur C. Clarke while he was writing “2001: A Space Odyssey.”
But it was Andy Warhol who put the stamp of underground cachet on the Chelsea when he shot his three-and-a-half-hour multi-screen ramble “The Chelsea Girls” there in 1966. By the time that Patti Smith and Robert Mapplethorpe took up residence in 1969, they already saw themselves as the next generation in the Chelsea tradition of bohemian squalor.

The first time I met Jean-Marc Vallée, he was wearing a black T-shirt and jeans. Silver zippers and studs ran the length of his black leather jacket, and his hair – dark brown, peppered with gray – was combed neatly off his forehead. It was March, 2019. We were both in Careyes, Mexico for Arte Careyes film festival. The Oscar-nominated French-Canadian filmmaker, whose death Sunday at age 58 has shocked the industry, was mentoring directors on the rise.
The magic of Arte Careyes is that it’s a small, intimate fest. Perched on a remote strip of the Pacific coast, movies are screened under palm trees and starry night skies; attendees draped in caftans gather in the village square to eat lunch together and dinner. At Arte Careyes, there is no division between “Hollywood movie director” and aspiring cineastes. Jean-Marc was seated among us, surrounded by photographers, artists and students studying film at universities across Latin America,...

Exclusive: Network Entertainment has optioned Andrew McCarthy’s bestselling memoir Brat: An ’80s Story and will produce a documentary adaptation, the company said Monday.
McCarthy, who rose to fame in the 1980s with roles in such classics as St. Elmo’s Fire, Pretty in Pink and Weekend at Bernie’s, long has pondered what it has meant to him to be an integral member of the iconic group of movie stars known as the Brat Pack. Writing the book, released earlier this year, answered many questions that he’s wrestled with throughout his life. But it also brought up more. Was being identified as a Brat Packer the worst thing that ever happened to him, or was it actually the best?
Brat will follow McCarthy across the country as he goes directly to the source, seeking out other Brat Pack members to find out what it has meant to each of them...

Ian Somerhalder is well-known for playing vampire bad boy Damon Salvatore on The CW's The Vampire Diaries, but he's showing a whole new side of himself with his role in Netflix's V Wars, which drops on Dec. 5. Based on the bestselling books by Jonathan Maberry, the new series follows Dr. Luther Swann (Somerhalder) in a world where a mysterious disease has turned humans, including his best friend Michael Fayne (Adrian Holmes), into murderous predators.
After starring on The Vampire Diaries for eight seasons, you're probably wondering why Somerhalder would want to do another vampire show. While the actor totally understands people's fascination with him jumping back into the supernatural world, it's actually the differences between the two projects that drew him to V Wars in the first place.

You didn't think Nick Jonas' fans were going to let this slip by, did you? In a recent Instagram post celebrating Nick and designer John Varvatos' newly-launched tequila line, Priyanka Chopra mistakenly referred to her husband as 27-years-old instead of his actual age, 26. As she put it, "So proud. When you own your own tequila at 27!" It didn't take long for internet trolls (with clearly little else to do) to begin calling out Chopra's mistake, which should be easily forgivable given that Jonas is turning 27 in just a matter of days. The singer celebrates his birthday on Sep. 16, so it's possible Priyanka is planning a blowout bash for her beau and...

Netflix is producing an interesting new animated comedy series for adults called Agent King and it will center around Elvis Presley. The series was co-created by Priscilla Presley and John Eddie, and it’s being developed by Sony Pictures Animation, Sony Pictures Television and Authentic Brands Group.
In the series, “Elvis trades in his white jumpsuit for a jet pack when he is covertly inducted into a secret government spy program to help battle the dark forces that threaten the country he loves — all while holding down his day job as the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll.”
I’m 100% on board with this series! This sounds like it could be an incredibly awesome and fun show to watch and Presley had this to say in a statement:
“From the time Elvis was a young boy he always dreamed of being the superhero fighting crime and saving the world — Agent King lets him do just that.

“From the time Elvis was a young boy he always dreamed of being the superhero fighting crime and saving the world — Agent King lets him do just that.
