Even while established series like “The Walking Dead” continue to perform, AMC has its eyes on the future. The network announced Saturday, July 29 its upcoming slate of new series currently in development, including new projects from Rainn Wilson, “Walking Dead” director Greg Nicotero, and Blumhouse Television.

Three of the announced series in development are anthology-oriented, while nearly all feature some level of genre element. This includes the B-movie homage “Shock Theatre” as well as “Wicked West,” Blumhouse’s non-fiction take on “the most frightening and disturbing tales from the Wild West.”

Chris Hardwick has launched a new production company, called Fish Ladder, along with former Universal Television executive Mike Clements, TheWrap has learned. Fish Ladder will focus on creating scripted and unscripted programming for AMC and affiliated networks, including IFC, SundanceTV, and BBC America. Universal Television has named Mike Clements as its new executive vice president of Comedy Development and Jim Donnelly as senior vice president, Comedy Development. It's that time again, and NBC has revealed it's 2011-2012 schedule. A couple of things have been kicked to the curb, and a host of new shows are coming to fill things in.
