‘Celebrity Race Across The World’ Renewed For Season 2 At BBC
Celebrity Race Across the World has landed a second season on the BBC. The format from Traitors maker Studio Lambert sees pairings featuring one celebrity and a parent, sibling or friend set a challenge to head on an epic adventure on a limited budget. In Season 1, which the BBC said is its “biggest factual entertainment brand of the year to date,” the likes of McFly drummer Harry Judd and broadcaster Alex Beresford were set the task of racing from Africa to the Arctic. Season 2’s route will be revealed in due course. The non-celebrity version has run for three seasons and has also been a big hit for the BBC. Factual entertainment boss Catherine Catton said she had been “delighted with the reaction particularly from young audiences” to Season 1 of the celebrity run. The news comes just a few days...

Exclusive: UK network ITV has ordered a second series of competition format Cooking With the Stars, Deadline hears.
The six-part show from ITV Studios-backed South Shore, which is co-financed by Marks & Spencer in an ad-funded arrangement, is hosted by Emma Willis and Tom Allen and sees celebrities compete against each other in weekly challenges, with one eliminated per episode.
The first season, which aired over the summer, was won by McFly singer Harry Judd, who beat Denise van Outen in the final. Others to feature included Johnny Vegas, Aj Odudu and Griff Rhys Jones.
Celebrities are unconfirmed for season two.
The re-commission represents something of a gamble for ITV as the show pulled in below-par ratings, launching with 2M overnight and dipping below 1M for some of the later installments.
Cooking With the Stars has, however, bested ITVs previous cooking format, 2015’s BBQ Champ, which only ran for one series.

Harry Judd believes he's more famous for winning 'Strictly Come Dancing' in 2011 than he is for being in McFly. The 29-year-old singer may have been in the successful boyband for 12 years but he's convinced he's recognised more for his flawless dance skills than his vocals nowadays. He explained: ''I've been in McFly for 12 years and we have had seven number one singles and two number one albums. But when I'm in the supermarket people just want to know about 'Strictly.' '' However, the handsome star doesn't mind as he found the BBC One show, which he won four years...

''After 7 years on Strictly Come Dancing, as my finale, this has been my best Strictly experience ever by a long way!'' Aliona joined the BBC show in 2007 and previously won with McFly's Harry Judd. Meanwhile, Jay recently called Aliona his ''best friend'' and said their...

Strictly Come Dancing star Jay McGuiness has revealed that his professional partner Aliona Vilani has been forcing him to do push-ups.
Speaking on Strictly: It Takes Two, the Wanted star joked that he can't even fake the exercise because Vilani knows how it should be done - thanks to her former winner Harry Judd.
"There was a lot of working on my [arms this week] because I think I tend to slump and it was all about keeping your elbows up so we focused a lot on that," McGuiness said.
"Also, she made me do push-ups. Ten a day. But she makes me do them real, because Harry had great arms! She knows the real actual way of doing it, because I used to fake it."
But while McGuiness might have nailed his arms, he admitted that he still needs to improve on getting a character across, joking: "I think naturally with...

We'd never have The Wanted's Jay McGuinness down as the shy and reserved type, but the star's Strictly Come Dancing partner Aliona Vilani is concerned his meekness could hold him back on the show.
Vilani revealed that 25-year-old McGuinness was her "number one choice" for the BBC1 ballroom dancing competition, but fears his reticence may "stop him from performing his best".
"He's such a sweet guy and he's got so much potential and I knew we'd get on," she told The Sun.
"I think he's going to struggle because he's so shy, so with the whole performance we're going to have to bring that out of him.
"I don't have to be tough on Jay, he's so tough on himself - I almost have to console him!"
On his attempts to overcome his bashfulness, former Wanted star McGuiness explained: "There's lots of room to feel embarrassed. When you're able to talk,...

After all the excitement about the Strictly Come Dancing launch last weekend, we've now got to wait a couple of weeks to discover who can dance and who can... waddle around a floor, badly (We're looking at you, Gregg Wallace).
In the meantime, we've had the ultimate Strictly pub debate - yes, we talk about Strictly in the pub - who is the greatest champion of all time. Here is the Definitive* ranking of the 11 Glitterball Champions from Worst to the Best.
*Actually just our opinion.
11. Chris Hollins
You can't win Strictly Come Dancing and be a bad dancer. However, Chris Hollins would have struggled to reach the final in any other series and it was only really his partnership with Ola 'Chops' Jordan and the dull competition that allowed him to stroll (or should that be Charleston?) to victory.
10. Tom Chambers
Were Tom Chambers and Camilla Dallerup the best dancers in 2008? Probably not.

It's a bold claim to make after only five weeks of the competition, but there's quite a strong argument to suggest that Natalie Gumede is the strongest ever celebrity dancer in Strictly Come Dancing history.
The Coronation Street star has barely had a misplaced step in the early weeks of the competition and despite a painful back injury that nearly ruled her out of the Quickstep, she's never fallen below the score of 31 that she collected back in week one.
Her scores of 31, 34, 36, and two 35s aren't just consistent, they're flipping brilliant. The stats are even more impressive when you consider that the 36 came in the notoriously tricky rumba.
Gumede's previous dance experience has been well documented and she isn't ashamed to admit that she had training as a youngster. However, plenty of other former Strictly stars have had the standard acting and dance classes in their youth, but we...

Strictly Come Dancing winner Harry Judd has criticised the show for axing some of the professional dancers this year.
The McFly star won the BBC One competition back in 2011 with partner Aliona Vilani, who was initially replaced for the new series before being rehired when Natalie Lowe injured her foot.
"Viewers get to know and love the stars so it was silly to get rid of the dancers this time for new ones we don't know," Judd told the Sunday Mirror.
"I've no idea who some of these dancers are now or why bosses alter things the way they do. There was some amazing talent when I won.
"I was especially upset for Aliona when she went. She was incredible. She's back now but I don't know why they got rid of her in the first place."

Strictly Come Dancing will return to the Blackpool Tower for a special episode in the upcoming 11th series, it has been confirmed.
The celebrity reality show didn't visit Blackpool last year, opting instead to focus on a one-off Wembley special midway through the series.
However, a Strictly spokesperson has confirmed that the BBC dance series will be returning to the North West in 2013, saying: "It's such an iconic venue for dance, and an honour to take Strictly to such a venue once again."

The Blackpool Tower was the home of Strictly's TV ancestor Come Dancing, the TV ballroom dancing competition which ran from 1949 to 1998.
Harry Judd and Aliona Vilani lifted the show's Glitterball Trophy at the Blackpool Tower in 2011, when the series nine final was filmed there.

We're experiencing a sense of déjà vu here at Digital Spy Towers, as a mere 11 days after Jessie J announced her departure from The Voice UK, everyone's favourite knee-sliding Irishman Danny O'Donoghue has also decided to step down as a coach.
We've barely finished musing about which popstars could fill Jessie's chair, and now we've got to do it all over again, as the search begins for a replacement for the man we affectionately came to know as 'O'Donodouche'.
Although in our opinion nobody will truly be able to fist-pump, chant their own name and coo to "gorgeous-looking girls" in the same way as Danny, Digital Spy has come up with a shortlist of artists who we can picture taking over The Script frontman's seat.

Vilani won the show in 2011 as the partner of McFly's Harry Judd but did not compete in the last series due to injury. Meanwhile, Boag, Cacace and Simone reportedly want to leave to "focus on their careers outside of Strictly and for professional reasons".
