It is a truth universally acknowledged…that 19th century author Jane Austen wrote some of the all-time great romances. So using her work as a jumping-off point for four Hallmark Channel love stories makes perfect sense. Here are the swoonworthy titles airing every Saturday in “Loveuary” (aka February). Paging Mr. Darcy “I will not be dancing, dressing up or pretending to be a teenaged heroine husband-hunting in a dead century,” declares scholar Eloise (Mallory Jansen), scoffing that the conference she’s attending is less of an academic event and more “like Comic-Con for Jane Austen fans.” But once she’s assigned a “guest of honor liaison” outfitted as Pride and Prejudice’s Mr. Darcy, Eloise starts to realize her own, er, prejudices may be why she’s still alone. Love & Jane Hallmark faves Alison Sweeney and Benjamin Ayres headline a charmer about star-crossed loves. Sweeney stars as Lilly, a...

Hallmark Channel is celebrating the most romantic month of the year with a full slate of new movies. For 2024, the network’s “Loveuary” lineup has a special theme, with four movies inspired by the work of Jane Austen, including a new adaptation of Sense and Sensibility. Keep reading for our rundown of the Hallmark movie schedule for February 2024.
‘Paging Mr. Darcy’
Professor Eloise Cavendish (Mallory Jansen) is a Jane Austen scholar invited to give a talk at an annual conference about the famous author. But the event combines serious scholarship with fandom, and Eloise isn’t sure how her work – which focuses on the role of money, not love in Austen’s novels – will be received. Nor is she impressed when she meets Sam (Will Kemp), the event’s official Mr. Darcy. But Eloise and Sam soon discover that they have more in common than they first thought.

Hallmark Channel‘s Countdown to Christmas may be ending, but the good news is there are movies year-round to enjoy — and rom-com fans won’t want to miss what’s on the schedule for February 2024. The network will be honoring Jane Austen with Loveuary with Jane Austen, a month of original movie premieres inspired by the author’s work. Four all-new original movies will premiere every Saturday, starting on February 3, at 8/7c. It all begins with Paging Mr. Darcy, starring Mallory Jansen and Will Kemp. A love of Jane Austen’s stories helps two people to overcome their pride and admit to their belief in love. Then, on February 10 is Love & Jane, in which a woman finds guidance from Jane Austen, quite literally. It stars Alison Sweeney and Benjamin Ayres (a Chronicle Mysteries reunion!). TV Fanatic had the pleasure of speaking with director David Winning about Hallmark's latest Fall Into Love feature, Field Day.
Winning has a long, successful string of Hallmark movies on his resume, but charming rom-coms weren't his first foray into directing.
Making his mark in the sci-fi genre, directing episodes of Are You Afraid of the Dark, Stargate: Atlantis, and Van Helsing, his resume boasts a diverse array of productions that almost seem at odds with the heartfelt Hallmark universe.
So, how did Winning find himself so far from the sci-fi realm? We talked with him about that and much more in our exclusive interview.
For more information on Field Day, please visit our exclusive clip of the delightful movie, which stars Rachel Boston, Benjamin Ayres, Shannon Chen-Kent, and Carmel Amit.

Hallmark's latest autumn offering, airing Saturday, October 14 at 8/7c on Hallmark Channel, reminds us of the very best the season has to offer. Fall colors elicit the coziness of the season, and when they talk about pumpkin, you will swear you can smell it in the air.
Field Day follows a budding female friendship forming between three moms when they find themselves volunteering for what everyone considers the worst Parent Teacher Organization (Pto) committee.
Rachel Boston, Shannon Chen-Kent, and Carmel Amit star in this movie, poised to become an annual classic.
Ask anyone, and they'll tell you that planning a school event is hard!
Not only do you want to make your school proud, but you want to be seen as competent in the eyes of your fellow school parents and cool in your kids' eyes.
Jen (Rachel Boston) and her daughter have just moved to town, so making an impression counts.

Hallmark Christmas movies remain as cozy as ever, with tree-lighting, cookie-decorating and magical snowfall still the currency of the realm. But since the arrival of Wonya Lucas as the new CEO of Hallmark Media (formerly Crown Media) in 2020, the network’s offerings have branched out in many ways: Lots more diversity, of course — including, this year, Hallmark’s first holiday romance centered on a same-sex relationship and the network’s first film focused on Kwanzaa — but also new and different plots.
The memes show no sign of dying, but the movies themselves don’t always match the traditional roadmap. Two of this year’s new movies didn’t end with a kiss, a change previously unthinkable in Hallmark-land.

With Christmas in full swing on the Hallmark networks, beautiful holiday movies are coming in hot and heavy.
Long Lost Christmas stars Taylor Cole and Benjamin Ayres in a story reminding us that this Christmas could be our last with anyone we love.
We had the opportunity to catch up with Ben to talk about the movie and a whole lot more.
You don't have to be watching Hallmark to get your fill of Benjamin Ayres. This year alone, he's been in several Hallmark productions, Family Law on The CW, The Bad Seed Returns on Lifetime, and The Kids in the Hall.
Ben says that while Hallmark operates in the vein of old Hollywood's studio system, for other roles, he's going through the audition process.
With Hallmark, "You just get a phone call, and you're matched up with somebody else. The first inquiry is 'Who wrote it?' 'Who's starring in it?...

‘Color My World With Love’: Lily D. Moore & David DeSanctis on Groundbreaking Hallmark Movie (Video)
Lily D. Moore and David DeSanctis are bringing a groundbreaking love story to Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. The actors star in Color My World With Love, premiering Sunday, June 12 — a story that centers the experiences of people with Down syndrome. In the movie, single mother Emma (Erica Durance) is fiercely protective of her daughter, 22-year-old Kendall, who Moore says is “independent and wants her mom to let her grow up.” Kendall is a talented artist who paints in the impressionist style. Her life changes forever when she meets Brad in a cooking class and they fall in love. Brad, as described by DeSanctis, is independent and responsible with a “good sense of humor and fun-loving.” Unlike Lily, he lives on his own and works in a T-shirt shop. Brad lost his parents in an accident years prior, which prompted longtime family friend Nic (Benjamin Ayres) to step in and help Brad when he needs it.

Kendall’s mother Emma (Erica Durance) is super protective of her daughter and has reservations about the new relationship. The serial centers on attorney Joanna Hanley (Kreuk), who walked away from her partnership at a corporate law firm in order to figure out why a mysterious illness is afflicting high school girls from her hometown. Back in Millwood, Manitoba, on the Canadian prairie, Joanna joins forces with her old high school foe, Billy Crawford (Mooney), who is now a local attorney. While she’s trying to get to the truth of what’s happening to these girls, she must also face why her family fled the town, years ago.

It's been renewed in Canada but, can it draw a large enough audience to be invited back to the States for a second season? Will Burden of Truth be cancelled or renewed for season two on The CW? Stay tuned. *Status update below.
