Now that "Mad Men" is over, "The Bachelorette" is ready to take its place as the best show on television. And by best we clearly mean most shamelessly Iq-reducing. But we're not here to judge, we're here to be the jury and pass stiff sentences against the clowns (that means you, Ryan M.) who showed up on Season 11's premiere to try and date Kaitlyn Bristowe, Britt Nilsson or whoever else showed up. We find most of them guilty of cringe-inducing silliness (not you, Joshua, Ian, Ben Z, Joe, Shawn B....) and sentence them to loving ridicule in this list. The official Bachelorette -- either Kaitlyn or Britt -- will be revealed Tuesday night in another hour special, but here are 13 highlights/lowlights from May 18's drunken, *dramatic,* and painfully awkward first episode.
1. Ryan Gets Drunk, Says Dumb Stuff
Ryan M. both won and lost the night for the same reason: He was That Guy.

ABC has officially ordered the Avengers spinoff Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. for its fall schedule. The show won’t actually feature too many characters from Avengers — with one rather notable exception. As Marvel godfather Joss Whedon announced many months ago, the show will feature the return of Clark Gregg’s Agent Phil Coulson. Of course, as we all know, Coulson appeared to die in The Avengers. And by “appeared to die” I mean “Yes, of course, they could have faked his death, but we saw blood running out of his mouth, and his death formed the emotional core of the film’s third act.

Producer J.J. Abrams has established a great tradition within the "Mission: Impossible" franchise: in the last two "M:i" installments, Abrams has called in fan-favorite actors from his television past for brief but awesome roles. First Keri Russell popped into "Mission: Impossible III" in a blink-and-you'll-miss-it death scene, and today's newest movie — "Ghost Protocol" — introduces "Lost" veteran Josh Holloway to the franchise. Exactly what purpose the former James "Sawyer" Ford plays in the new "Mission" remains to be seen, but no matter how big or small his role, we're psyched to have him on board.
With Holloway following Russell's lead, we started wondering which other Abrams vets we'd like to see in future "Mission: Impossible" movies. Our wish list is past the jump!
» David Anders: If there's a cooler Abrams villain than Julian Sark, I haven't met him—and I've seen a lot of Abrams television! Anders' infinitely badass "Alias...

“Friday Night Lights” coach Kyle Chandler and 12-year-old actress Ellen Fanning have reportedly joined the cast of J.J. Abram’s secretive film Super 8, according to Vulture.
In typical Abrams’ fashion, we know very little about what the movie is about. Outside of a few seemingly unrelated viral marketing reveals, we unfortunately only know what was shown in the roughly two minute teaser trailer of a mysterious train derailing that contains an unseen menace. There have been unconfirmed rumors that the story centers on three young children who discover alien footage on a Super 8 reel.
However, Abrams has confirmed it’s an homage to Steven Spielberg’s earlier work, such as Close Encounters of the Third Kind and E.T. Spielberg is producing and releasing the movie under his rarely-used Amblin Entertainment banner.
Chandler was nominated for an Emmy this year for his outstanding performance as Coach Taylor on the NBC series.

You can send any/all of the above to ausielloscoop@ew.com Question: Is it at all possible that Shonda Rhimes would bring Isaiah Washington back to Grey's Anatomy for even one episode now that T.R. Knight has left the show? —Ben Ausiello: Listen to me very carefully, because I'm only going to say this once: Never. Gonna. Happen. But Washington kinda-sorta gets a shout-out in this week's episode when Owen-lovin' Cristina utters three shocking words: "I miss Burke." Question: Sounds like you've already seen this week's Grey's,...
