Back in the 1960s, like most boys, I had at least G.I. Joe action figure. They were cool but maybe not as cool as Captain Action, which followed two years later. Of course, both faded away over time until the Joe concept was revised by Hasbro. Working with Larry Hama and Marvel Comics, the idea was expanded, the figures scaled down and a phenomenon was born.
Given the wild success of the toys, the animated series, and the long-running comic, I remain baffled why it took until 2009 before a live-action film was made. Here were all the kids’ favorite good guys and bad guys brought to life, looking sleek and cool and yes, sexy. The film was a smash success so of course the wait for a sequel began immediately.

The Joes are back.
After the Pakastani President is assassinated, insurgents seize the country’s nuclear arsenal and the Joes are sent in to retrieve the codes. After Duke, Roadblock and the Joes are ambushed by Cobra forces, retaliation is set in motion. In director Jon M. Chu’s 3D sequel to the 2009 movie, the team has to take on the Cobra enemy forces and expose an imposter in the oval office.
While the Cobra Commander is set on becoming ruler over all the Earth while causing global destruction through with his “Zeus” weapon, G.I. Joe: Retaliation also focuses on the relationship between Snake Eyes and his arch-enemy Storm Shadow, who was presumed dead at the end of Rise Of Cobra. When we first meet Snake Eyes (Ray Park) again, he is on a search for peace within himself after retreating to the Arashikage to train with the Blind Master (RZA). Once there,...

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Adrianne Palicki dicusses her "tough girl" role as Lady Jaye in the soon to be released G.I. Joe: Retaliation. She comments on training with Navy Seals and Harry Humphries. "We trained with Navy Seals. Harry Humphries is a retired Seal, so he's actually one of the original so he brought his whole Seal team to train us and they're actually in the movie with us, guiding us, which was the most nerve-racking part because if you mess up, you know they're going to be pulling you aside and scaring you." She also assures that her character is "very well written" in the 3D sequel, and that she holds her own despite being the only female in the team. "Thankfully I love the character and she's very well-written. She's a tough girl. She's got a little bit of a chip on her shoulder. She's like the only...

Adrianne Palicki is the only girl on a team full of guys in the upcoming G.I. Joe: Retaliation, playing Lady Jaye, the self-described “intelligence” of the group alongside Dwayne Johnson and Bruce Willis. (She also doubles as a weapons expert.) EW sat down with Palicki last night at Axe’s Facescore event, where the actress squared off against Denver Linebacker Von Miller in a series of challenges including a walk-off and a Wii snowboarding battle. In case you were wondering, Palicki won.

New GI Joe 2,Retaliation action details revealed by Adrianne Palicki Aka Lady Jaye. Recently, Collider, chatted it up with the beautiful Adrianne Palicki, who plays badass chick ,Lady Jaye, in the upcoming "G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation" action flick, and she revealed a few details about what went down while filming her huge action parts in the film, and it sounds pretty hardcore. From what is sounds like, she should be a great addition to the franchise ,and will be involved in a ton of physical action. Adrianne told them, "For G.I. Joe, I had much more physical action because I’m playing a Navy Seal. So, it’s not only about holding a gun. I had to do everything 100% correctly. We had Harry Humphries, who’s one of the best of the best. He’s a retired Navy Seal, who’s one of the original Navy SEALs, and he trained us.

The new short shows off the future of war.
The video shows the members of the Alpha Squadron, members of the U.S. armed forces, going after a war criminal in the near future Eastern Europe (which is in part where Ghost Recon Future Soldier will be set).
Publisher Ubisoft put this short together alongside Little Minx films, which acts a prequel to the upcoming game, featuring the four playable characters from Future Soldier as members of the cast of characters here. The location in the film will be a multiplayer map from the game and if you look carefully, there's a secret weapon unlock code somewhere in the Ghost Recon Alpha's running time.
Here's the synopsis:
Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Alpha boasts a line-up of top Hollywood talent. The film was directed by Academy Award winners Hervé de Crécy and François Alaux, who won an Oscar in 2010 for Logorama,...

Chicago – “The Losers” tries so hard to be edgy, cool, and action-packed that it thinks it will be effective merely by numbing the viewer’s senses into oblivion. The film either defies all critical analysis by being so ridiculous that it doesn’t really need it or it just sucks. It’s up to you to decide but this critic is going with the latter.
Blu-Ray Rating: 1.0/5.0
Based on the comic by Andy Diggle, “The Losers” refers to a group of Special Forces soldiers who we’re introduced to on a life-changing job. They’re ordered to take part in a mission that will result in the death of innocent children. Of course, they refuse and become ghosts hell-bent on revenge against the man who set them up. Jeffrey Dean Morgan (“Watchmen”) stars as the leader of the ragtag group while Idris Elba, Chris Evans, Columbus Short, and Oscar Jaenada play members.
