1. Der ewige Jude (1940)

62 min | Documentary, History

Under the guise of a brutally honest documentary, this malevolent propaganda film aims to be an "indispensable tool in the hands of the Aryan race", designed to depict the "true" Jew when the masks of western civilisation fall off.

Director: Fritz Hippler | Stars: Curt Bois, Charles Chaplin, Albert Einstein, Adolf Hitler

Votes: 3,928

The ultimate crass propaganda movie. (Even the fact that it was wartime is no excuse). The prime illustration of Nazi Anti-Semetism laid on with a very thick trowel.

LOW POINT: The whole analogy between Jews and a plague of rats sequence.

2. CBS Schoolbreak Special (1984–1996)
Episode: Frog Girl: The Jenifer Graham Story (1989)

60 min | Adventure, Comedy, Drama

A 15-year old school girl refuses to dissect a frog and sues her school district for not allowing her to do an alternative project.

Director: Harry Longstreet | Stars: Kerrie Keane, Ellen Dunning, Mitchell Laurance, Michael Greene

Votes: 21

Another crass political tract; *almost* delivered as heavy-handedly as the previous one.

LOW POINT: An alleged casual conversation between two characters where they can each quote the legal precedent for their position much better than your average university legal professor could do.

Yet another political tract movie; this time told with extreme heart-pulling melodrama. (Let me hurl right now!)

LOW POINT: After deciding to save her son's bedroom "just the way he left it" as a tribute to her dead son, the mother has a set-back in her political campaign, where she then has a raging psychotic meltdown, enters said memorial bedroom, and totally trashes the place.

4. Bogus (1996)

PG | 110 min | Comedy, Family, Fantasy

Director: Norman Jewison | Stars: Whoopi Goldberg, Gérard Depardieu, Haley Joel Osment, Andrea Martin

Votes: 7,041 | Gross: $4.36M

Extreme cloyingly sentimental story about little tyke who loses his mother, then conjours up an imaginary Frenchman. (go figure!)

LOW POINT: Kid throwing a temper tantrum because everyone feels sad at his mother's funeral.

5. All Men Are Liars (1995)

91 min | Comedy

Mick's father, Barry, sells the family piano, causing Mick's mother, Irene to leave. In order to raise enough money to buy the piano back, Mick dresses in his mother's clothes and becomes ... See full summary »

Director: Gerard Lee | Stars: Toni Pearen, David Price, John Jarratt, Carmen Tanti

Votes: 322

Poor alleged "comedy movie" (hah!) where a guy dresses up as a girl to joins a girl band and hit on the singer he has the hots for. A idea that has been done so-o-o-o-o-o-o much better in other movies.

LOW POINT: Father picking on son for being a wimp at the start of movie (guaranteed to have you rolling in the aisles laughing -- NOT!); then it's pretty much a relentless downbeat exercise in non-comic comedic storytelling from there.

6. Batman & Robin (1997)

PG-13 | 125 min | Action, Sci-Fi

29 Metascore

Batman and Robin try to keep their relationship together even as they must stop Mr. Freeze and Poison Ivy from freezing Gotham City.

Director: Joel Schumacher | Stars: Arnold Schwarzenegger, George Clooney, Chris O'Donnell, Uma Thurman

Votes: 268,058 | Gross: $107.33M

One of the rare times times where the professional critics overrated a summer blockbuster movie. They said it was your standard bad summer movie; and it's a whole lot worse than that!

LOW POINT: Mr Freeze gives Batman a choice between catching him and rescuing Robin; and frankly my dear, you don't give a damn what happens.

7. Midnite Spares (1983)

87 min | Action, Adventure, Comedy

After discovering that a group of car thieves may have something to do with his father's untimely death, Steve pursues the criminals and attempts to capture them as well as prove his prowess as a racecar driver.

Director: Quentin Masters | Stars: James Laurie, Gia Carides, Max Cullen, Bruce Spence

Votes: 265

Extremely bad low-budget comedy about guy ambling around the dirt-track racing scene.

LOW POINT: A "grease monkey" who's literally covered in grease - permanently.

8. Thunderboat Row (1989 TV Movie)

120 min | Action, Crime, Drama

A group of several different la enforcement agencies along with a race boat driver come together with a common goal of stopping the drug traffic to the US.

Director: Thomas J. Wright | Stars: Ash Adams, Jsu Garcia, Rob Estes, Anthony Rene Jones

Votes: 60

A movie that demonstrates how good ol' American capitalist business entrepreneurs can totally defeat those nasty Cuban communist drug-runners single-handedly with all the latest gadgets and hot-headed enthusiasts money can buy. Frankly I don't know how a drug industry can exist under these circumstances -- let alone any need for a federal drug control agency. Sheesh, just let private industry solve the whole thing by themselves - piece of cake!

LOW POINT: A raving hispanic who is constantly declaring how "ploud to be an Amelican" he is.

9. Rent-a-Kid (1995 TV Movie)

G | 85 min | Drama, Family, Comedy

Harry Habert, owner of a rent office has an original idea: To rent babies from a nearby orphanage to the local families. He rents the Ward brothers to his first customers.

Director: Fred Gerber | Stars: Leslie Nielsen, Christopher Lloyd, Matt McCoy, Sherry Miller

Votes: 2,166

A "cute light-hearted kiddies' movie" that shows how the little rugrats can change from total terrors to perfect saints purely at their own whim. That's right parents; when your offspring does something to upset you, its actually an insidious conspiracy on their part. They could be the epitome of perfect behaviour if they really, really wanted to.

LOW POINT: Pretty much the whole story idea actually.

10. The NeverEnding Story III (1994)

G | 95 min | Adventure, Comedy, Family

A young boy must restore order when a group of bullies steal the magical book that acts as a portal between Earth and the imaginary world of Fantasia.

Director: Peter MacDonald | Stars: Jason James Richter, Melody Kay, Jack Black, Carole Finn

Votes: 12,445

The 3rd part that totally trashes this once-great creative fairy-tale.

LOW POINT: Having a creature living in another dimension (or whatever) singing Steppenwulf's "Born to be Wild" while riding a bike with his son. Does that make any sense at all???

11. Mistress (1987 TV Movie)

100 min | Drama

A woman who's been having an affair with a married man who's been taking care of her. When he dies she finds herself with nothing. So she tries to rebuild her life but not without the stigma of being a kept woman following her.

Director: Michael Tuchner | Stars: Victoria Principal, Kerrie Keane, Joanna Kerns, Alan Rachins

Votes: 125

A soap opera writ large about this "kept woman" who frees herself - by showing all the personality of a wooden board.

LOW POINT: Her drama coach praises her bland recital of Chekov as great acting. Now that is stretching suspension of disbelief in a story!

12. Rip Girls (2000 TV Movie)

TV-G | 87 min | Drama, Family, Romance

A 13-year-old (Camilla Belle) learns to surf while visiting Hawai'i for the first time to see a plantation she inherited.
