American Fiction (2023)

Fiction in which reality is violated by fiction

The film is interesting for its false endings like those of Vivaldi and Mozart.

It can be put on the same list as Cet obscur objet du désir (1977) by Luis Buñuel and La nuit américaine (1973) by François Truffaut as a film that brought something new to cinema.

It also has its drawbacks: where would we be without sexual minorities? Add to this the African-American actors and the average viewers can attach the stigma to this film of Hollywood tolerance in one film. That's why reviews are needed to prove that a work is brilliant.

You watch the film and feel like a participant in the creation: screenwriter, director and actor. Fiction in which reality is violated by fiction.

Katyn (2007)

rUSSia is still cheating

This movie can't even be called historical. What was started then, continues on the part of rUSSia until now. In the film, the USSR tried to hide the shame. Now the gas assignee is proud of its shame. And the lie became much bigger, even fantastic: fighting mosquitoes and so on. I advise you to watch it in order to fully plunge into today's realities.

The director managed to emphasize the importance of a single life against the backdrop of massacres. Plus, to make the viewer plunge from the first dit at the moment of the end of life.

This film can be added to the playlist of great Polish films.

The manner of narration and techniques look so corny and boring. Pro forma Indian movie; just not enough dancing. One of those films that can be set to work in the background.

In Serpico's film, the girl told the eponymous hero a legend applicable to the events of this film just the opposite: «There was only one well in the middle of the kingdom of one King. At night, an evil witch poisoned the water in this well. In the morning all the inhabitants, except the King, drank water from the well and went mad. All the people of the kingdom became crazy and thought the King was crazy because he was not like anyone else. The King also went to drink water from the well and went mad.» In this picture, the main character, the King, was considered insane. He was the King, a successful man in his imaginary world and he had to make the whole world crazy to make the imaginary come true.

You watch a movie and you believe that Hollywood was then so: breathtaking atmosphere. Five years for the script were not in vain. I would like to go to the director and shake his hand for such a film.
