Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker (2019)

An okay end for the Skywalker saga

Pros:

Finally more background about Rey.

Rose, my least favorite character gets sidelined here and i'm happy that the writers understood the utterly cringe romance between her and Finn in TLJ so they skipped it here.

Poe and Finn get a little more to do here. It's not much but still something.

Luke gets more respect here than in TLJ although i can't understand why he said to Rey about treating a lightsaber with respect when she threw it into the fire although he did the same ting in TLJ.

Good acting, especially by Ridley and Driver.

Excellent visuals and music as always.

Cons:

We still get no explanation of why Rey learns and can everything so fast. Particulary the force healing trick. I don't just buy that the reason is she's being Palpatine's granddaughter. Some more reasons would have been better.

The movie goes against SW logic again by introduce new force tricks like the teleportation trick but also let force ghost doing things like a living jedi can do.

Some characters just shows up and then disappears very quickly without development.

Anakin is the chosen one and that's the whole meaning of the saga but ROS make us think that Rey is the chosen one instead by killing Palaptine once and for all but Anakins arc was that he killed Palpaine in ROTJ, not like Rey does in this movie. That's the biggest con in the movie for me.

The large Star Destroyer fleet can destroy planets. We have seen that three times before and that was more than enough.

The title is Rise Of Skywalker but it hardly features the Skywalker family.

Rey says that she's a Skywalker without any indication of that.

Last Christmas (2019)

I liked the twist very much

First 75 minutes were descent but the movie took a sharp turn after the surprisingly good twist where the movie did not end In a typical Christmas movie cliche. I really liked that. You also get the meaning of the name "last Christmas". The movie got very good the last time 30 minutes but before the twist it was bland. The acting was pretty good with Henry Golding as the best one. Overall a descent Christmas movie.

Outlast 2 (2017 Video Game)

Better than the first game

I really liked the first game and the dlc but Outlast 2 improves on what was good with the first game. It is scarier (especially the school sections who sometimes made me wanna quit the game because i became too afraid), better atmosphere/graphics and i really liked that the protagonist (Blake) could talk unlike the original when both Miles and Waylon didn't speak at all because in that way, you can symphatize more with Blake and his thoughts/feelings. The villans were frightening and very scary. The scariest was the school teacher with his monster form. The setting in both town/forest/mines and the school flashbacks gave a lot of different environments.

Overall, more variety of everything here than in the first game.

The Lion King (2019)

Watchable but not on the originals powerful level

The good: The CGI was amazing. The Circle Of Life was just as good as in the original. Billy Eichner and Seth Rogen were great and very funny as Timon and Pumbaa. They are the best characters in the film. John Oliver was also great and funny as Zazu. James Earl Jones was spot on as Mufasa. Donald Glover was good as Simba. The actors for young Simba and Nala were surprisengly good for both acting and singing. More Screentime and development for Nala, Sarabi and Shenzi. It really liked the longer versions of Hakuna Matata and The Lion Sleeps Tonight. Hans Zimmer provides a very good soundtrack as usual.

The bad: Can You Feel The Love TONIGHT was sang in broad daylight. It is not better that Beyonce almost took over the song because you barely heard Donald Glover and that is supposed to be both Simbas and Nalas song. Beyonce's Nala overall was very bland. Chiwetel Ejifor was too aggressive and angry as Scar. I really misses Jeremy Irons who made Scar way more sadistic and bellivable, pity he didn't return. John Kani was pretty good as Rafiki but he got only a very few lines and not the same crazy humor the old Rafiki got. Some scenes that were only a few seconds in the original are some minutes here like the beginning with the mouse and how Simbas mane got to Rafiki. It felt like i watched a documentary when i saw these scenes. Some really good dialogues in the original were either shortened or skipped totally. Be Prepared was more of a speech than a song and was disappoingly much shortened. Mufasas death and the final confrontation berween Simba and Scar felt rushed.

Overall, this movie is watchable but do not have high expectations.

Avengers: Endgame (2019)

Very good but not as good as Infinity War

It takes about 1 hour before the movie starts for real because the beginning was very slow and only a buildup to the time travel and the main plot. Just drama and many funny moments but no action.

Then it becomes much better with both tragedy, comedy and just pure gold. The flashbacks to older Marvel movies were really well done and makes sense. The final battle was one of the best battles i have ever seen and it didn't feel too long but not too short either. Iron Man's and Black Widow's deaths were both heartwarming and sad.

Overall Infinity War is better because it is more eventful with more action and none tough parts but this is still a very good movie.

Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi (2017)

They ruined this movie sadly

Cons They completely ruined Luke's character. He is not a person who wants to give up like that. In the OT he saw hope everytime. He wanted to kill his best friends and sisters son because he sensed the dark side in him. He managed to turn Darth fricking Vader from the dark side altheough it was nearby an impossible task but he did it because he saw hope. In this movie he wants to give up directly and not even try to do the same thing with Kylo. This is not the Luke i knew. His death scene was also a big WTF moment. It is now conformed that Rey can do anything without any training. She can move a lot of big boulders and defeat both royal imperial guards and even Luke himselves with 0 training. Wasted characters: Snoke who i thought was going to be a new powerful sithlord dies so easy with 0 development. Also Phasma who dies with maybe only two minutes of screentime. Rose was ok but when she stopped Finn for saving everyone because she loves him. WTF. She could easily just let Finn sacrifice because a whole place with people's life are much more important than just one persons life. I did not knew that you can survive in vaccum in space without protection but Leia showed is that was possible. And her superman imitation was too musch

So here you have my thoughts of this movie. I was very disappointed.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018)

Great start but then a let down

The movie was really good when they were on the island. The rest of the movie takes place in a mansion. More environment change would be really nice. And the scene with the Indoraptor and the girl in the bed was like they played Nightmare on Elm Street. This is not supposed to be a horror movie. The Indoraptor acts like a slasher killer. The actors are very good (except for the guy that complains on everything) and Chris Pratt is best like in the previous movie.

Outlast: Whistleblower (2014 Video Game)

As excellent as Outlast

I love this game as much as the original game. It has everything that Outlast has. Scary characters, especially Eddie Gluskin. Great atmosphere and great music. I like that it is taking place both before, below and after Outlast. I have one negative objection and that is the game is to short in my opinion. They should have kept the same lenght as in the original game which was a very good lenght. But it is not a huge mistake so that the score is lowered.

Scary, awesome and great atmosphere

I have played this game over and over and i still gets scared sometimes. The music, atmosphere and graphics are awesome. Some characters are so scary as well. The scares comes when you don't think they will not come. The best horror game i ever played besides Amnesia The Dark Descent.

Kung Fu Panda 2 (2011)

The best one in the series

Althrough this movie isn't as funny as the first one. It has a better plot, more heartwarming, more exciting and better characters. I liked the furios five much more in this movie because here they are important for the plot. Lord Shen is even a better villain than Tai Lung and Gary Oldman do his voice scary, creepy and chilling. This movie is also profound which is rare for a movie from Dreamworks. The animation is also slighty better.

Kung Fu Panda (2008)

Time for awesomness

I like this movie much. Po (portrayed excellent by Jack Black) is so funny and the orher characters are very good. Oogway is a character with much depth and he is also very strange and Shifu is Borg funny and also have depth. Tai lung is a very good villain and the fighting scenes are very exciting. The furious five are ok. Tigress is good but the rest dosen't add much to the movie outside the fights. I like the relationship betweeen Po and his dad. The animations are top notch and very beautiful. You don't get dissapointed.

Cars 3 (2017)

A big step up

Much better than the second film. Here the feelings from the first movie comes back because it follows up with the first movie. This should have been the second film instead. You get to know about Doc more that you didn't know in the firs movie. Howewer it is a bit similar to the first movie when they are doing the races. But otherwise it is a great movie and a worthy sequel to the first one.

Cars 2 (2011)

A big dissapoitment

After the amazing first movie i watched this movie and it was a huge let down. To much unnecessary action and violence. Mater is not funny at all as he was in the first movie. He fits much better as a supporting character. He is to much as a main character. I like Finn Mcmissile and Francesco howewer and the bad guys are ok. But i won't gonna watch the movie again.

Cars (2006)

My childchood movie

I watched this movie very often when i was young. Very good humor (especially from Mater), characters voice actors and graphics. The story is ok but it dosen't matter, i still love this movie.

Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983)

The least favorite in the original trioligy

Sadly the Ewoks ruined it a little bit. Otherwise the movie is almost good as the other ones in the original trioligy. The scenes with the Emperor, Vader and Luke are very dramatic and also the space battle at the end. The ending is profound. But as i said the Ewoks are annoying. Without them the movie would get 10 stars.

Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980)

My absolutely favorite movie of all time

Not just the best Star Wars movie, it is the best movie of all time. This movie is more darker than ANH and ROTJ. Yoda and Vader arr the best characters and my second best lightsaber duel is in this one. And not but definetly not last. Luke i am your father beats everything else.

Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977)

One of my favorite movies

An excellent movie with everything. Entertainern, very good characters. Especially Vader and Luke. The space battle at the end was also very good. Han Solo, C3PO and R2D2 works perfect as comic reliefs. Very good effects for 1977. An excellent movie.
