Crazy and Crazy Well Done
8 April 2020
It's fascinating to see the world of Big Cats and how these people live their lives. It's true, this show is like watching a car accident, you can't look away. But whether you would like the content or people, this is first and foremost, an incredible work of documentary! It was shot, edited, and arranged excellently!

Creative Look at A Sad Journey
14 March 2020
After reading David Sheff's book, I didn't know what to expect a film about his son's drug addiction would look like. Creatively, this movie took risks and chances with the editing and music. But they stood out only in that they enhanced the arc of the story. Though I don't need to see the film again, I might-just to take in the storytelling once more.

Truly Sad and Well Done
12 February 2020
Zac Efron was creepy, dark, twisted, and exactly what he needed to be to play Ted Bundy. As the judge says toward the end of the movie, Ted was "a waste of humanity." He was bright, articulate, and a straight up monster.

This movie was well done in handling such a charged story and real-life killer.

Honestly, Just Super Sad
9 February 2020
Taylor Swift hit stardom super early in life. And as far as I can tell, that does damage to one's soul. It teaches you that you're loved only as well as you perform. It's a super sad reality that many of us fall into on a much smaller scale, but Taylor gets it at an astronomical scale.

I respect Taylor a lot more after watching this. Her life has not been super happy and encouraging.

I loved getting to see into her creative process of writing and processing through song what she was experiencing in life.

I recommend this documentary!

Incredible Depiction
8 February 2020
First off: Daniel Day Lewis is INCREDIBLE!

Secondly: This story captures the tension of historical times while also speaking to our current day context. Spielberg and crew did an amazing job creating a story that (from what I understand) was historically accurate and at the same time speaks directly to today's audiences.

Third: I waited for a LONG time to watch this movie, knowing that it was long and probably wouldn't be super compelling. Well, I was wrong! I should have watched this when it first came out.

This movie was extremely well done, acted, directed, scored, designed, and all!

Purely About The Story
27 January 2020
Just Mercy is a beautiful telling of a real-life superhero. This story is about two men, one who was wrongfully accused and convicted for a crime he didn't commit and a man who just wants to help people who haven't gotten any.

What I think I loved most about this movie is that they didn't over-do anything. The set design, costumes, plot, and all were just about the story. They didn't over-hype any moments or feel that the director/producers were pushing any political agendas. They were just telling a story. Does that story have political ramifications? Yes, you better believe it. But the movie was a story, and a powerful one at that!

Raw, Real Look at an All-Time Character
13 October 2019
The anthology of the Joker has always been interesting. This movie took a very human approach to how one of the craziest and demented villains of all time became The JOKER. Incredible acting by Phoenix. He truly was made for this role and interpretation of the Joker. This is a movie that I will love forever but won't need to watch again...yep.
