Nebraska (2013)

Beautiful film, powerful, hit me in the feels!

Loved this, hit me in the feels real bad. Lost my dad few years ago, movies like these make me super emotional. The sons were really good despite the attitude of the parents, watching this wish i was nicer to my dad and spent more time with him before he passed away (i missed the last father's day that he was alive for i was "working"), but i know that i was good to him though and showed him a lot of love and that it was all in my head.

Death is life's greatest invention, it makes every moment we live in so powerful, that's what i was thinking about at least while watching this. The older parents were really tough, especially the grandmother, god bless her. I think the light at the end of the tunnel is that our spirits live on, my dad is out there maybe as a pigeon or a butterfly or something, the pain is just something we all gotta go through but it's important as are all feelings.

Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio (2022)

Such a good film absolutely loved this

Whole film was very emotional and had me holdin back some tears, flawless characters, Pinocchio was awesome, the dad whoever played him did a great job, very heartwarming characters. The villain puppet master character was a great act done by the fantastic John Turturro. Literally man this is what life is about, all the characters were great, legendary actors as the voice actors. I will be recommending this movie to all my friends and family.

I miss my dad he passed away when i was just in my early 30s after he suffered from health conditions for years. I miss him very much, movies like these always make me very teary eyed :((

This film had a great message, god bless everyone.

Westworld (2016–2022)

Mild entertainment, bunch of riffraff tbh, could have went in a better direction. Think this had a great chance to be more of a comedic series over drama.

I was multitasking while watching this, playing on my phone, looking at crypto, etc. But wtf did i just watch, only way i sat through the entirety of this film is with it being in the background. This movie was so bizarre that I was kind of curious how it would end, and it ended like pure turd. Kristen stewart i can kind of see her doing a movie like this, she's always doing weird movies these days. Viggo Mortenson on the other hand, dude looking like a jedi in this film, but there are no light sabers to save this bunch of non sense.

There were also a lot of scenes that were gross and made me wanna throw up. The only thing i liked about this film was the music/score, so bumped this up from 1 to 2* out of 10 lol.

Sorry not sorry, nice try Mr. Cronenberg.

Avicii: True Stories (2017)

Very good documentary of a genius who passed away way too soon

I'm glad they recorded all this footage of Avicii behind the scenes, before I started watching this didn't think they'd have all this film. Very amazing, well done, can't believe this came out in 2017 and just watched or heard about it now. Was a fascinating look at Tim and what he was going through, and his eventual struggle/stress/breakdown from his touring/work.

What i found most interesting was a look at his obvious anxiety since i myself and know others out there who have the same problems. He seemed like such a genuine good dude, too bad it ended the way it did, but he will forever be a legend, up there with Michael Jackson IMO.

I don't think many people out there know this film exists else it would have much much more views, very well done, thank you, RIP Avicii, i saw you live at EDC years ago and it was the most memorable performance out of the entire event, i'm glad i was able to see your genius at work.

Perfume: The Story of a Murderer (2006)

Didn't get the same feel as the book

Maybe i pictured something else when i was reading the book but definitely not what i saw in the movie. Movie felt too hollywood/pg13. Grenouille (although the acting was superb) didn't fit right with the monster/scary type of character described in the book. The characters simply don't fit, the acting is not the problem.

Easily one of the better of the star wars films, really enjoyed this. Lots of wisdom and philosophical themes going on also. Really good job by George Lucas.

The fight scenes between mace and sidious, and yoda and sidious, and anakin and obi wan or really awesome.

Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999)

I'm watching the whole star wars in chronological order.

This film imo was slightly better than episode 2 where anakin is grown up and un-understandable.

Think this whole series could have been way better and had greater potential, but the disney cheesiness largely gets in the way of greatness imo. Still entertaining viewing and a solid 7.

Main problem i had with this movie is Anakin is a very annoying character lol, it's painful watching the scenes he was in. It would be better if they made a sith character not so cheesy and cringy/lame, but i understand it's a disney film, so it'll be very rare a disney film will be scored too high.

The imagination that star wars could have should lead to a really good film and series, this could have been better IMO.

I'm watching the whole star wars series in chronological order btw.

This get's a solid 6.

Lego Star Wars: The Yoda Chronicles (2013–2014)

Deserves more love

Funny and some good jokes in this short series. Im watching this after Episode II Attack of the Clones movie, and thought this would be dull and lame, but surprisingly had some good laughs watching this lego adaptation!

Recommend it, especially gives some nostalgic feelings seeing this aired on Cartoon Network which i never watching anymore =)

Carey Mulligan has been on a tear ever since she started acting. Loved this film, very good story, very solid acting, fun characters, some good laughs. I liked the way the story went down, unpredictable, and kept me interested throughout. Thank you Carey Mulligan, you are one of the best actresses in the biz, loved you in Drive also!

Couldn't really get into it. But i have a low attention span, i tried my best to follow it but half way into it was really bored out of my mind.

Best episode in entire series. Addition of Darren Aronofsky is what makes this episode so great. You know the show was going to be very interesting once unveiled Aronofsky was a recently turned vegetarian and we already know Bourdain loves meat, the ying and yang of the two combined with the poverty and lack of meat in Madagascar was well blended together for a great 40 minutes of pure artistry. The last 5 minutes was incredible to me. Thank you for this episode if any of the creators ever read this, and highly recommended if anyone reading this has not seen this episode yet!

One of the best tv shows i have ever watched. Just finished season 3, wasnt as good as 2 or 1 imo but the ending was fantastic and very emotional. This show really makes you think, very thought provoking. I loved the last episode! Sad it had to come to an end tho, fell in love with the characters :(
