Her Worst Nightmare (2018)
Absolutely awful
Just watched this on Netflix and first off the photo used on the film's information screen shows the main character looking scared of someone who you'll instantly recognize when watching the film so effectively you know who the "baddie" is!
Secondly the acting isn't awful but the storyline is predictable, boring and all the action is pretty much in the last 10 minutes. One good twist but other than that an absolute waste of a film.
Harry Brown (2009)
Can't beat a Michael Cain movie!
Watched this many years ago but come back to it on a weekend with a few drinks. Michael Cain is superb as usual, ex-marine cleaning up his inner London estate!
Brutal all the way through and equally heartbreaking. Fantastic acting by all the cast, particularly Plan B who plays the most vicious character of all.
Didn't expect it to end the way it did but certainly wasn't disappointed!
Ill Manors (2012)
Definite favourite
Absolutely love the layered storyline and how it brings all the characters together in some way.
Covers all issues from abandonment, drug use, prostitution, sex trafficking and gang violence.
All together a great storyline with good acting all round and fab soundtrack featuring plan b!
Blitz (2011)
One of my all time favourites
Another corker from Statham! Kept me hooked the whole way through. Great story line and just the right amount of gore and suspension. Also love the relationship between Statham and Considine.
Isn't It Romantic (2019)
High expectations...that weren't met
I love Rebel Wilson's acting so I was eager to see this. Her acting didn't disappoint but the film in general did. Cheesy, annoying and boring.
Mary Poppins Returns (2018)
Kids will enjoy it!
Saw this with my two nieces who loved it! It had a great mix of some of the original story line and new and unique touches of Disney. It even had some traditional Disney animation which was a good touch
Bit disappointed none of the original songs were included.
Great acting by all the cast. Storyline was fun and Blunt plays an excellent Mary Poppins.
Serenity (2019)
Not what the adverts suggest it is!
The trailers for this film looked really good so I couldn't wait to see it on Sky cinema.
The start was very slow and the speaking at times was inaudible.
When it got going none of it made sense and it then turned out to be a strange sci-fi film with the main characters son making a video game that turns out is the actual film?! Such a strange film with an awful story line, not thriller the trailers make it out to be!
So disappointed. Wouldn't recommend to anyone
