People groaning, sighing and walking out
16 May 2023
I went in without any expectations. I got the first 15 minutes, which made me empathise with people suffering from anxiety. But it quickly derailed into a storyline in which even the real world context would not make sense.

Literally half of the movie visitors groaned, sighed and walked out of the theatre sooner or later - including us.

Instead of watching the last 75 minutes of the movie, I've spent 75 minutes discussing its quality. Yes, it may be controversial, but not in a good way:

I would not recommend anyone to see it, and I'm pretty sure half of the movie visitors are with me in this one.

A beautifully written, narrated and visualised tale

This episode stands out. An absolutely captivating backstory, that patiently sucks you into the abandonment and rituals of its main character.

Surprising, thrilling and twisted

Antebellum may not be a horror movie like the trailer suggests, however: it is all about the horrors its main characters go through. Antebellum is an interesting ride throughout, with much contrast, a strong ambience and great acting.

Pure chemistry acting, fun and clever!

I was very entertained and honestly blown away by the acting performances for the main characters and others. A refreshing, spot on comedy show with a unique sense of humor.

Entertaining, but not great.

Jessica Chastain was great The overall scenes, action and characters were allright. The plot was allright, but it felt like there was a bit too much irrelevant stuff going on.

Adventure or bad trip?

I couldn't quite wrap my head around this movie. The scenery was great, but the characters very peculiar. Some scenes seemed interesting, but the whole falls flat. It is full of fantasy, but nothing ever makes sense.

Cute, silly film: best towards the end

Just like Eurovision, don't take it too seriously. Unfortunately, you have to finish the movie to truly experience what it is about: but it definitely ends with a bang. Rachel McAdams performs great!

As someone who has never seen or read Harley Quinn movies or comics before, I enjoyed this movie a lot. I've experienced it as original in many ways!

A pleasing, exciting episode that met all my expectations for season 1.

I'm unable to describe this movie ...
27 August 2019
... because barely ever has watching a movie felt this pointless to me. This movie did not make me experience any type of emotion.

After 2.5 hours of slow paced scenes that don't build up towards anything, 2.5 minutes of 'QT sensation' did not catch my interest any longer.

It surely could not have been the script or plot quality that managed to assemble this well performing cast.

Sex Education: Episode 1 (2019)

A misleadingly silly or shallow start to a great series.

This kick-off episode effectively introduces its main characters and its recurring theme for following episodes.

Otis and Maeve become 'business partners' in sex therapy, where they treat cases of teenagers at their school. Unfortunately, Adam's case appears silly or shallow: it leads you to believe following episodes won't be as heartfelt as they truly are!
