Plot holes galore and little action
31 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Too many plot holes to count, starting with something called SCIENCE, forget what you know and enjoy your popcorn.

The kids, annoying and need better supervision, stealing a car, breaking into places, skipping school. Millie Brown, beyond annoying and he sidekick is just as expendable to the plot, the conspiracy nut would have done all this on his own and we'd have been spared the bad jokes at the expense of a bad side character.

Kong, lame as always, king of the jungle trapped on a island surrounded by a giant prison and he only throws a stick?

And Kong has a girl friend in a deaf child, the line survivor of the island being torn apart by storms. And she's been teaching him sign language and bonding telepathically it appears. Frankenstein-esque in it's gentle giant when she's around approach, aka LAME!

And again, they make Godzilla the villain when all he's doing is protecting himself from another evil corporation, aka LAME AGAIN!

C'MON Hollywood, and when they do fight, it's weak and predictable once we know that MechaGodzilla is the real enemy here and that they must team up the two titans to fight the man made monster, aka even more lame than before!

Just eat the popcorn and suspend reality and science and enjoy it for what it is, another bloated Hollywood letdown, we still have two titans and more in the end thanks to the monsters of hollow Earth being shown in Kings new home.

Just sloppy writing and no real VS here IMHO, just Hollywood hype and decent special effects.

The Timeless Classic
8 June 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Of all the shows from my childhood, this a favorite, while the production value was sometimes as hokey as the spells and characters, the charm hasn't lost its touch over the decades.

I grew up a fan and remain so to this day, Agnes Moorehead shines here, and thanks to this show I became a fan of her other acting skills. I've even visited her resting place in Dayton Ohio.

And Paul Lynde, an Ohio native is also buried close to where I live, having visiti his resting place as well. Great character actor and comic gold for his Uncle Arthur.

It's has its place in history as well, using human against witch as an allegory against racism, it works effectively but dated, except for the Christmas episode with Tabitha having a sister of color! Effective to this day, and the episode was written by children for children to learn that people of color are just like everyone else and that racism is wrong.

Just enjoy the show, bad jokes, wires showing, fabulous costumes, witty dialogue and overall fun that is better than most shows on TV today!

Dreadful Indeed
10 May 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Racism, Nazis, crooked politicians, some religious overtone, some hints at darkness in the world, all set against the race war of Latinos in LA before the start of WW2.

in the first series you are immediately grouped into a storyline that you wanted to know unfortunately in this series there's too many storylines that you really just don't care about and they all tend to overlap in ways that just don't make sense.

the truly only thing dreadful here is the writing there's no cohesion there's no sense of where this is going and there's nothing really supernatural at all about this, just garbage religious tones.

The multiple characters of the lead actress are absolutely boring....

After three episodes I really don't care to watch this again because it does not have the Penny dreadful feel of the original series or even of the original Penny dreadful books that inspired the first series.

Penny dreadfuls were designed to shock the public the only thing shocking here is how bad these are

WTF is this political drama?
3 May 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Latino Community against the police department who is trying to solve the murder of a prominent white dude that was killed under mysterious circumstances using old Latino rituals.

Throw in some family drama, throw-in racial tension, throw in a money-laundering church with a singing nun, and then try and make Nathan Lane act Butch, while data from Star Trek tries to play police chief.

Two episodes in and it's gone know where the supernatural element is such a background piece of the show that it has become redundantly boring at this point.

And don't forget to throw in Nazis and German people hiding out in America before the war.

The writer leaves you wanting something better than throw away ideas. and throw away as what they should do to the rest of the season if it doesn't pick up pace which so far has moved at the speed of a glacier.

yes I know it's not the Penny dreadful that we had from previous seasons but this doesn't even have something interesting to it it's like watching a version of modern-day Los Angeles in antique costumes.

There is no horror to be found here other than the obvious waste of time that's you could have spent on something else.

Matthew ruins it
25 March 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Matthew ruins the film, the mancannot act, uses the same boring breathless voice as always.

I'd give the film a solid ten if it was anyone else.

Typical gangster film from Ritchie, good dialogue and the stanoit is Charlie and Hugh....the rest, same old cast with different names.

Can guy write anything else... nope and doesn't have to because people buy into his films like sheep to the abattoire.

Best scene...Matthew being shot...sort of.

Lack of story....
13 March 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Such back drama and lack of forward story. Tooany characters that just puppet and repeat things already said in another room.

Only the holographic captains are interesting.

Picard is a bumbling old man and now more Romulan mythology.....

Lack of story and originality have turned this into a bad SciFi joke.

Legolas in space is awful and 7 of 9, again worthless....

Incoherent BS....
7 March 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Hugh finally dies, bye Felicia Raffi is as boring and wasted as ever. Agnes, horrible acting, horrible character, pointless. So over her bad hair, sad looks and always being on the verge of crying or wanting to kill someone. Ugh... Jean Luc, bumbling and stumbling. Not the Admiral he needs to be. Soji.....ugh, so many things wrong about this character The Romulans....boring as ever, bad plot line from day one. The Elf in Space.....another wasted character that serve no purpose. Worst brows ever....cowering in the Borg Cube is just ....sad and pathetic.

Riker and Dianna, charming as ever. Even their daughter and dead son is more intelligent and interesting than the other side characters.

The Captain.....best part, needs his own show without all these side characters and distractions.

Just get on with the damn plot.....so far this show could have been a kick-ass two hour movie, but this is convoluted and drawn out nonsense.

The hologram doctor has more personality and better back story than 99% of the character.

More flashback garbage....
21 February 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Just more flashbacks, no real story here, just more lead in to the next episode.

7 of 9 on a revenge spree, yawn, waste of character. And the rest of the characters are just wasted on crap dialogue, repetitive nonsense, and characters that are as boring as the next.

Rescue Maddox, blah blah blah, 7 is lying and using Picard, Raffi is in the corner brooding like a moron, and even her flashback to see her child was a waste of digital plot.

Maggie is a crap character and now this obviously weak plot twist.

So we've wasted 5 episodes to just tell, no story, no plot, nothing new...and the cursing is not welcome, it's distracting to hear it in the ST Universe.

Like the series, just make it stop.

Picard aka Boring and Borging AF
7 February 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Just get on with the story, ctoo much backdrop and buildup. Hugh makes an appearance and unless you know the actor it's as pointless as he was in TNG.

Picard is fine, but the rest of the cast is just bland characters that you'd find in any bad SciFi trying to hype something that we know may not come to fruition fast enough!

Get on with it already, three episodes of background is enough.

Perfect for an insomniac
30 January 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Flashbacks to a young Danny and Mom, stupid and not needed.

Rose the Hat and her ever changing accent. Pick a city and be from there! If you're not the Elder, why are you in charge of anything?

Abra, silly and bad acting. Inconsistent age from start to end of movie.

Ewan as Danny, boring beyond reason. Guess they needed a name for the Marquee.

The tribe of "steam" eating Vampire-esque characters, just insane garbage that had NOTHING to do with the original movie.

This isn't an homage or sequel to The Shining, this is King and Hollywood out to make a quick buck.

To think Danny hid his gift all these years, bullS!

The book was better, and the end of the movie isn't even the book, more Hollywood garbage.

Spitball Part DUH...
6 January 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Throwing out ideas in a stream of meaningless babble is the new forte of this Doctor, and it's as insipid as the companions the doctor travels with.

Kill the companions, they serve no real purpose but comic fodder and to spew back the same trite dialogue as the Doctor.

The writers have no imagination anymore, using one writer shows how weak they are. Incoherent vignettes of babbling dialogue does not make for a decent story.

Here The Master steals the show, he's worth watching and she's just annoying as ever. Say something worthwhile to the actual episode.

Just more feminist agenda with the hero of the show being a clueless woman who gets enlightened after the Doctor interferes with her timeline.

Just so unimpressed with these two episodes. First episodes was all James Bond ripoffs and now steampunk garbage.

Not enough of the dark humor that made the original and the first movies loveable.

Tries to hard to be funny at every turn. Wasted vocal talents who must have been laughing all the way to the bank.

Weak story, stupid dialogue, and sub par CGI rest that didn't need to exist to begin with!

This is how you dump on Dracula
4 January 2020
Warning: Spoilers
The dialogue is awful, so much of it is tacky 11th grade toilet humor. Death on the Demeter and Dracula's fellow boatmates are just his pawns and fodder.

The episodes are too long and too boring to be of any value to the legend of Dracula. So many missed opportunity to flesh out a modern story wasted on retelling what has been done better elsewhere.

Even Dracula can't keep a straight face when spewing out bad dialogue. So many things just done wrong for the sake of cinematic pleasure and to dumb down a classic to a generation that doesn't know the source material.

Utter nonsense
4 January 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This series has no new blood here to see or to enjoy. The same old dialogue regurgitated from the same old characters.

Harker is unsympathetic and you want him to die, his GF is pointless to the edge of useless.

And sadly Dracula is reduced to a modern beffy version of his bloodsucking self stuck in his castle wanting to be a part of the modern world....

"I do not drink....wine...". Words as tired as this rehash of the same plot we've all seen before.

They may have made Sherlock modern and thrilling, but here, the Count is reduced to spewing trite words and tripe dialogue that has been better done elsewhere.

A modern Dracula was needed and all we got was a nun as Van Helping and dialogue that could have been written by anyone older than 16!

This could have been better, sadly, it's failure is to follow the source too closely.

WTF is this nonsense?
2 January 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Bring back SciFi to Doctor Who! Jodie is just awful, horrid dialogue that just gets regurgitated by the lame companions, her hair doesn't move while running, she waves the Sonic around like Harry Potter casting spells that don't work!

Dialogue be damned she just goes one and on while the rest of the cast just stands around catching their breath til the next running sequence!

Aliens that are lame points of light with cheesy dialogue as well.....

The TARDIS is all but absent, and the new interior is interior to the ones of the past. Stop being dramatic, the TARDIS is practical inside and out, not some designers wet dream!

And the villain, old is made new again and even that is just cheesy beyond words....if there no one else the Doctor can be potted against in the entire SciFi universe than some boyhood friend gone south.

Just lame writing stretched to a two part episode that I don't care to watch the ending of.

I'll watch when the season is over and I can binge sleep through it all.....

Even the title is lame...Spyfall.....they fell all right, flat on their arses!

Chaos and Confusion
27 December 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Got through episode one, bloody and lack of real explanation of multiple timelines.

Episode two....Hogwarts via The Witcher with shades of Xena and Gabrielle.

Lack of knowledge of the source is best, because obviously the source material is all over the place too.

Henry C, laughable in a very cheap looking wig. And perfectly tailored costume for fighting and showing off his body...too bad it doesn't help with his lack of acting or the cheap, cheesy and pseudo Game of Thrones tone they're appearing to emulate.

Dialogue that goes nowhere and characters that you don't want to like. Pretty people in grungy makeup doesn't help.....the teeth alone are perfect and only the physically handicapped character to be sympathetic, for about ten seconds.

Only bother if you've got 8 hours to waste.

Total insult to her legend and legacy.
18 December 2019
Warning: Spoilers
THIS IS 💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩

She looks nothing, sounds nothing and acts nothing like Judy during her final years and concerts.

Only the clothes scream Judy...even the woman playing young Liza is all WRONG! Liza was never chubby!

The musical numbers are awful...no emotional wringing of the soul, no hint of desperation to hold onto stardom. Just Renee doing bad Judy karaoke.

Even the fake nose tip they added seems as fake as her Judy-esque affectations.

Never need to see this TRIPE again. Should never have been made!

Watch Wicker Man Instead
18 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
This was a modern and very boring adaptation of the theme used in the original wicker Man movie. The lead actress actually ruins the movie you feel no sympathy for her whiny self whatsoever even when her parents are murdered by her own sister at the beginning of the film.

Her boyfriend should have left her long ago or killed her when her family was killed and his friends should have insisted that she not go anywhere near their vacation which turned into their own personal nightmare on so many levels.

Well it is beautifully filmed it is not well-acted and the ending is beyond stupid because the movie is wrought with so much symbolism that isn't explained and is left two-way open interpretation.

It's worth viewing wants to say you've seen it but you can skip the first hour of the movie after you've seen the preview.

1 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Mashed up garbage from other movies done better. No cohesion in story/plot, unlikeable characters and action sequences that are typical of Luck Besson and his people.

Only star given for Dame Helen, her scenes are funny and she's the ONLY interesting part of the film.

Like Evans Russian accent is laughable and the overlapping of technology doesn't fit the timeline and story. Such LAZY mistakes make it laughable at best.

Female empowerment can be done better than this cinematic turd.

Cringe worthy...and not in a good way!
19 September 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Nothing says lack of writing skills like hashing and slashing old ideas into something resembling something new.

80's slasher horror genre is sexploited to it worse possible tv drama.

Enough cheesy references to keep any horror fan happy.

The music is the best part of the whole episode, pure sexist and homophobic slang is used just five minutes in....which is sad that FX allowed but all they care about is ad revenue from ratings.

I'll wait for the whole season to be over and then binge watch...if the rest of this season is as bad a Roanoke was, Ryan Murphy needs to be the next thing slashed from FX's programming!

The whole world is yours to write and this is what you can up with? Unimaginative and as dull as the blade killing everyone in the opening sequence.
