Legion: Chapter 11 (2018)
I don't know why this show has suddenly decided to "define" psychological conditions.
Nocebo has absolutely nothing to do with tics.
Tics are absolutely not contagious.
Claiming that an individual can develop tics due to psychological trauma, and then "infect" other people with "the tics" is one of the dumbest claims a TV show has ever made.
Nocebo and tics are real world psychological conditions.
I don't understand why this show has gone into season two suddenly trying to connect each episode with real life psychological connections, when it fails so hard to describe and represent them properly.
If this is how this show is going to continue I'm going to stop watching because this is genuinely one of the dumbest things I have seen in a very long time.
The Consultant (2023)
Only reason I finished watching was because of Waltz.
I watched this show because Christoph Waltz is in it.
He lived up to my expectations, as he always does, and the rest of the cast was perfectly fine as well.
But the show as a whole was a major let-down for me.
The first episode set the bar too high, the second episode or so was able to keep the tension going, and then the rest of the show just wasn't able to deliver.
It goes on for too long. Without spoiling anything I can just say that I really despise the whole "now we both know that we both are enemies, but we just keep going day after day after day pretending like nothing is wrong, until there is a conclusion at the end of the show".
This should have been 4 episodes, 5 maximum. Not 8.
Ending was frustrating beyond words.
I regret watching the show.
The Northman (2022)
Great looking props and sets, very poor writing.
Everything looks great.
The locations, the sets, the costumes are all very well made.
There is a lot of great scenes full of atmosphere.
But the story and dialogue is incredibly weak, and this is a 2+ hour movie so by the end I was squirming in my seat.
There are silly plot holes, editing mistakes making the main character literally cut his hair off (for no reason btw) just to have his long hair flowing in the wind shortly after, and loose ends.
I had no expectations for the movie and my friend offered me free tickets.
Despite that this truly is the worst movie I've seen in cinema for a very long time.
The Equalizer 2 (2018)
Bad sequel.
Didn't add anything to the first movie.
I don't know anything more about the main character now than I did before.
I still like the main character a lot and I like the new characters and the side plots, but the main story is just bad.
Boring, cliche story that we've already seen a million times with a very boring "twist" and boring ending.
It's not bad, it's just boring.
Bumblebee (2018)
I enjoyed this movie a lot!
Not a "save the universe" story, but a more scaled down, personal story that focuses on the main characters and does a good job building them up.
OK writing.
Great acting.
Funny.
Cool.
Heartwarming and cute.
It took 13 years but we finally got a good Transformers movie!
Really recommend it!
Jojo Rabbit (2019)
Very impressive.
Funny and tragic.
I'm impressed with how the movie manages to be both funny and tragic without losing focus or going too far in either direction.
Waititi has become my favorite director and I can't wait for his next movie.
I'm also so incredibly impressed with the performance of Roman Griffin Davis and Thomasin McKenzie.
I don't want to be mean but it was a little embarrassing that big hollywood name Johansson got so outperformed by these 2 rising stars.
Birds of Prey and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn (2020)
I liked it
The characters were interesting but I agree that the main villain was not great even though I liked him too.
Harley's solo fight choreography were really satisfying but the group fights were not as good.
Over all a good movie.
Sad to see so many negative reviews specifically talk about women.
Honestly don't know what else I can say about that other than sexist.
Titans (2018)
Season 1 was really good, season 2 was horrible.
Season 2 is incredibly disappointing.
The story loses focus completely and the whole thing just draaaaaaaaaaaags on without nothing interesting at all happening for several episodes at a time.
There are painfully forced conflicts between the main characters that make absolutely no sense and makes the writing feel incredibly weak.
God how I hate the "let me tell you this secret that nobody knew existed that will make you all really mad at me and make us all go separate ways" crap they run with here.
It's so clear that the writers had a story planned for season 1, and when they were finished with it, they were forced to continue with another season right away.
Season 1 doesn't actually have a conclusion, the last episode continues over into seasons 2, probably in a desperate way to make the story feel bigger and to buy time for the writers.
Harley Quinn (2019)
It's like a silly cartoon network show but with violence, swearing and batman!
I feel like a bunch of people were given access to the official DC license and are just having a BLAST playing around in the DC universe!
The writing is really funny and creative, and its so funny to see stuff like Superman just randomly appearing for a short 10 second joke and then disappearing again!
DC has so many great animated shows and movies at this point, but it's SO REFRESHING to see a new show where they are allowed to swear as much as they want!
It's a very good mix of popular and less known characters, and I think they are all handled well even though some of them are being parodied (like Jim Gordon and Robin)!
The show is soo violent at times but they always keep the humor going so it always keeps being funny!
I cannot recommend this show enough both for DC animation fans AND fans of other silly animated shows that are looking for something with violence and profanity added on top of the humor!
Upgrade (2018)
Very good movie, but I'm not entirely sure if I liked the ending
Without spoiling anything I can say that I enjoyed this movie VERY much, but I'm not super happy with the ending.
It's definitely one of the most enjoyable movies I've seen in a long time and I recommend it to all sci-fi and AI lovers.
There were a few scenes that were incredibly graphic but I think it was done in a very good way that enhanced the story telling.
I'm also incredibly impressed with the lead actor's performance!
I Am Mother (2019)
Wonderful sci-fi!
This is why I love science fiction!
Movies that center around philosophic themes rooted in science fiction, together with special effects to create incredibly immersive experiences are the ones that really make me sit on the edge of my seat!
Daredevil: Blindsided (2018)
Will the season be able to top this gem?
I've never rated an episode of a TV show before.
So far, season 3 of Daredevil has exceeded all my expectations, and episode 4 in particular is honestly among the best things I've ever seen in a TV show.
