La La Land (2016)
One of the most relatable and relevant love stories ever.
As the starting of the film, the remarkble damien chizelle decided to introduce two people's lifes. Which have a lot in common, but are also a little different.
Mia, fantastically perfformed by Emma Stone, is a dreamer, who works in a basic job, in parallel trying to get a role in a movie by visiting a big quantity of castings. It doesn't matter for her which role to play, she just wants to fullfill her acting ambitions by accepting different opportunities. All she looking for is an assessment of the casting manegers and other people.
The second main character is Sebastian, played outstandingly by Ryan Gosling. Sebastian is also a dreamer, but his way of dreaming is different from Mia's. He is in love with jazz( as me by the way), his dream is to open and manage his own classical jazz club. In contrast with Mia, he does not opened to different oportunities, he has conservative opinion and has only one way of accomplishing it in his mind. We can for instance see it in the sceene where he is getting a work as a piano man is a restoraunt. Even though his boss told him not to play what he wants(jazz), he doing it, just because he doenst want to do what others like and he is not. It doesn't matter to him how what other people whould think about him.
Why does Mia fell in him at first sight?
Because she looked at him as a model of what she wants to accomplish.
Taxi Driver (1976)
Taxi Driver- a phsychological an phylosophical masterpiece
The perfect written screenplay revolves around an a man who went threw a war, wich damaged his mental. The reality he lives in, makes his mental even worse. By the time, he gets an scizophrenic disorder.
The picture appears us the struggle among Travis and, a dirty, depressing, stincky and miserable New York. It's regarding the affection of the tough invironment to the aggravation of a lonely damaged man mental condition.
Why I find it so relatable and remarkble?
During the watching, I started seeing a lot in common with the main character. Travis is really getting opened before us, we can see throw what he is going. The Idea of that the environment affects you, and contains a lot of boring "sheeps", regular people which live a boring life with no purpose, can easily make you one of them. So we see that Travis struggles from both.
In addition, I have to highlight the ending(contains spoilers). It's amazing. In the end, you can ask yourself is travis died, or stayed alive. Which perhaps may mean that all the acts Travis did, were only in his imagination, which fits great with his mental and makes sense.
The Film isteslf;
First of all, the decorations, shots, direcrting and acting, all are PERFFECT. Every one of them is on his place and they are all gather a puzzle of perfection together.
For conclusion, I have to say that I consider this film as one of my favourite and the graetest of oll time. Best Martin Scorsese film by the way.
Lost in Translation (2003)
Why wise introverts will like it
This film shares an a "lonelyness in a mertopolis" atmosphere. Both of the main charachters are looming like they are lonely philosophers in their deepressing reality. Every one of them is lonely inside while outside he is crowded by people. It gives them an a phylosophycal identity which I find very relatable. "Everyone wants to be found": what a great demonstration of the main idia of the film. The movie shows how simillar may different people be. I consider that is such an actual idia. Moreover, I really like the way the movie revolving around it. In addition to all I have said, the directing, the locations, the atmoshpere of this picture are magnificent. And Bill Murray in a pair with Scarlett Johansson, have an amaizing chemistry between them, which is building all the film. I have really enjoyed watching this masterpiece.
