Bohemian Rhapsody (2018)

A great movie !

Film inspired by the true story of the singer Freddy Mercury of the band Queen. This film shows to some extent the excesses committed by this unusual music group, mainly with its singer Freddy.

Some parts are purely fictitious, but the last scene of the film has been copied to the millimeter. The actors resemble the real members of the group (in physical appearance), which allows the spectator to project the events well.

Uncharted (2022)

A good aventure

Film inspired by the game of the same name, illustrating the collaboration between two protagonists in search of a lost treasure. The riddles and mysteries to find it are ingenious. This movie is pleasant to watch.

This film offers another interpretation of the character The Joker but one that is just as breathtaking. The beginning is a bit slow, but it sets a solid base for the rest of the film, with events that evolve and follow each other more and more quickly.

What war involves ! A good movie

Inspired by the true story of the American elite soldier Chris Kyle, it retraces his personal and professional journey before, during and after his multiple interventions in Iraq. A war film considered a little too patriotic by hundreds of people, it nevertheless shows the physical and psychological consequences of war on man.

A true and sad story (in all ways)

This police drama is inspired by the 2012 scandal in the Marseille anti-crime squad where eighteen people were prosecuted for drug trafficking and racketeering. Considered racist by some people, this film is for me a way to show the audience the rise of crime in the cities in France, and more particularly in Marseille, with also an ever increasing aggressiveness.

Dallas Buyers Club (2013)

Trust only yourself

This film is based on the true story of Ron Woodroof, a Texas electrician. Following a work accident, he learns that he is seropositive; that is, suffering from the incurable disease of AIDS. The doctors gave him one month. He lived for several years fighting against the American system and the ineffective treatments given to patients. This film shows that you can only rely on yourself to get well. Highly recommended.

A loving story and movie !

The Trojan War is a legendary conflict in Greek mythology between the kingdom of Greece and the kingdom of Troy. This film retraces in a correct way the events that followed (with one exception): the love between Helen and Paris, the greed of King Agamemnon, the fighting power of Achilles (and his weakness too), the wisdom of Hector, the intelligence of Odysseus. It allows the audience to bring images to texts and poems from this mythological story.

War Dogs (2016)

Amazing story !

War dogs are people who profit from war without directly participating in it. Inspired by real facts, this film traces the journey of Efraim Diveroli and David Packouz, two independents, specialists in the sale of weapons by responding to calls for tender from the U. S. Army. This film shows both the financial potential of this system and its limits.

Ford v Ferrari (2019)

A hell of a drive !

Film inspired by real facts, those of the collaboration between Carroll Shelby and Ken Miles, hired by the company Ford, to build a car able not only to hold the mythical race of the 24 hours of Le Mans of 1996, but also to beat the famous cars of the company Ferrari. Highly recommended.

A film inspired by a true story, that of Jordan Belfort, an American broker on Wall Street. Incredibly well played by Leonardo DiCaprio, the character is plunged into the greatest excesses during his career by carrying out mass swindles : alcohol, drugs, prostitutes.

A film inspired by real facts, those related to the collapse of the American real estate market in 2007 and 2008, creating the biggest economic crisis in the world today. Despite the technical aspects of finance, this film is easy to understand, and allows us to see the lies in which the rating agencies, banks, brokers, the American government, etc. Were immersed. Highly recommended.

Deepwater Horizon (2016)

A good movie !

A film inspired by a true story, that of the explosion of the Deepwater Horizon oil rig on April 20, 2010. It allows us to see how such a catastrophe can occur, and the humanitarian and ecological consequences that follow, and why? Economic interests.

The Last Samurai (2003)

Wonderful story

Tom Cruise at his best! Playing a 19th century US army captain, who suffers from his military past and sees himself going to Japan to train villagers to form the Japanese emperor's first army. An intense story, with a very good script, and a philosophical touch (even in the middle of battle). Highly recommended.

The Batman (2022)

A true investigation

Another version of the hero Batman, but a film just as exciting and interesting on different aspects: the scenario, the character himself (with weaknesses, making mistakes). The movie is long, but the scenario is so good that the spectator is caught in the story from the beginning. The official music of the film gives an additional suspense. A must see.

One man - One issue - One solution

Film inspired by the true story of the English mathematician Alan Turing, during the Second World War, which shows his work to decrypt the German communication system Enigma. But not only his work, the character of the character, incredibly well played by Benedict Cumberbatch, is revealed to the audience, as well as his homosexuality (hardly imaginable in a country that prohibits it).

Film inspired by the true story of Australian jockey Michelle Payne. This movie shows her journey and her work to reach her goal. A great emotion (tears in my eyes) at the end every time I watch it. I highly recommend it.

Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021)

An extraordinary remake - An other movie

An extraordinary remake of Justice League by Zack Snyder! It's a different movie, nothing like the first version of Justice League. A must-see. Caught up in this 3 hour film from start to finish without stopping. This movie shows the importance of a good director. The introduction of new characters is not forgotten, which contributes to its understanding and charm.

Ambulance (2022)

Not a masterpiece but a good action movie

It is not a masterpiece, but still a good action movie to see. As its name indicates, the film takes place mainly in an ambulance. Some parts are funny because of the context in which the scenes take place. This movie also allows us to see how some American soldiers, after having committed themselves for their country, are not considered, and are pushed to do things that are not in their ethics. This gives all the sense of this film directed by Michael Bay.

Snowden (2016)

A must-see

If you trust governments and the protection they give you, watch this movie, and your opinion will change completely. Indeed, this movie is inspired by the true story of Ed Snowden, a contract employee of the American governmental organizations, who one day revealed to the whole world the reality. Depending on your point of view, he is a spy, a hacker, a traitor, a hero, a legend !
