The Perfect Storm (2000)

A VERY TOUCHING AND EXCITING MOVIE.

This movie is a good disaster flick, it has good character development and and exciting climax. Most of the excitement doesnt come until later in the movie, but the characters and story are enjoyable enough to make the movie entertaining. George Clooneys character isn't as developed as much as the others, which is kinda weird, but thats ok. I really recommend this movie. ***

Me, Myself & Irene (2000)

ONE OF THE FUNNIEST MOVIES OF ALL TIME! A COMEDIC CLASSIC.

Okay, lets get something straight, this is no Oscar contender or something like that, this is a movie that your not suppose to take seriousely. The point of a comedy is to make people laugh,and this movie does that just as well as any other comedy classic. I'm sick and tired of people knocking comedies like this because it doesn't have an award winning plot or whatever. I went to this movie to laugh and see Jim Carrey. I was not dissapointed in any way, because i laughed my ass off. I have read a lot of the reviews about this movie, both from critics and from user comments, and i have to say that i am dissapointed in their view of the film. If you have a problem with the type of humer that this movie has, that's one thing, but to knock the movie because it lacks a great plot is stupid. To tell you the truth, i am glad that this movie didnt have a complex plot, because i dont want to have to think and figure things out when i go see a comedy. I hope that people stop picking on movies like this and just accept them for what they are worth, and that is grade A comedy. ****

Gladiator (2000)

ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES OF THE YEAR!

This movie is very good, in no way is it dissapionting, unless you has unrealistic expectations. I personally think that this is Ridley Scotts best movie since Alien. Russell Crowe is in top form and the action scenes are nothing short of intense. I found this film very emotianal and very entertaining. I look forward to seeing it again. ****

Entropy (I) (1999)

A VERY GOOD MOVIE. HIGHLY ORIGINAL FILMMAKING.

I really liked this movie, the filmmaking is award winning (or atleast should be). Stephen Dorf is excellant, his best performance. The story is very good, i loved it. This is real life, these kinds of things happen to people all over, and Entropy deals with hard times, love and heartbreak in a very mature and good way. This is one of those movies that makes you laugh and cry, and that to me is one of the signs of a very good movie. It is to bad that this movie was released on video and not theatricly. I hope more people see this film. ****

To all those people who think this movie is sucks or is a dissapoinment... you are weird.

Broken Vessels (1998)

A TOUCHING MESSAGE MOVIE THAT DOES A VERY GOOD JOB.

I felt that this movie is well made. It is hardcore and in your face about the seriouse issues that it deals with. It doesn't exploit them or make fun. It has humor in the right places, not in the wrong places. The acting is great and the production is good to. Definitely a good movie. ***

Body Double (1984)

TOP NOTCH MYSTERY/SUSPENSE WITH ALL THE TRIMMINGS.

This is a very effective thriller, the suspense is very intense,and i was letterally on the edge of my seat. Some say that Brian De Palma copies Hitchcock, i dont think so, what i think is that Brian uses the same "style" as Hitchcock. This movie is far more hardcore then any of the hitchcock movies also, which adds to the depth of the movie. And to tell you the truth, i think this movie is just a well done as any of the hitchcock classics. I wish that there were more movies like this, and i wish that i could go back and watch this movie again for the first time. If i ever get amnesia, this is going to be one of the first movies that i watch. I know that alot of other people dont feel as strongly as i do about this movie, but hey, that is their problem, atleast i can enjoy a movie for what it's worth. An instant classic. ****

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998)

I think this movie is totally underrated, it should have won awards and be more recognized. I really loved this movie, there isn't another movie that even comes close to being like this. Truely a dynamic movie on all fronts - great production, brilliant acting, and beautiful cinematography. This movie grabbed me and didnt leg go, even long after i finished watching it. -****

Wow. This movie blows my mind, it is so good that i cant stand it. This is the best movie that i have ever seen. I look down on people that didnt like this movie, because to me, if you didnt like this movie, then you are emotionally dead and extremely shallow. Or just plain not understood the movie. Brad Pitt and Edward Norten are two of the best actors in movies today. I cant believe this movie was so overlooked at the Oscars. ****

Mission: Impossible II (2000)

This is the kind of movie that makes me wish that I didn't have a short attention span. I wish I could say that the action is non-stop, but it isn't. In between classic action scenes, you have to sit through a ...plot. It is hard to stomach. But the climax is grand. -***

This salty pebble is just like all the rest, it looks good on the outside, but there is no inside. What I mean is, when I am at the video store picking out a video for "me time", I want to see somethinng that is going to... make my blood flow. But this movie is a tease. After watching this disappointing rubber bunnie, I cried myself to sleep and crawled under a rock of depression the next day. I hope that I have helped anyone out there that is looking for a good flick, or a bad one. Some scenes are tame, need I say more? *

Death Race 2000 (1975)

A TASTY SUGARCOATED TREAT!

This movie is a slice of sweet cherry pie for those of us still humping the "American Dream". It is full of graphic violence and pointless nudity to satifsfy any hunger. As i watched this fluffy deer frolick, i thought to myself... self, this is a grand movie on any scale that should be viewed by all ages in public schools from coast to coast. I think we can all learn a little something from this juicy morsel of life. Before I saw this movie, i was nothing. I just existed, nothing more then a statistic walking the streets. But because of this movie, i am a new creation. Now i am going to college and am going to study astrophysics -the study of human flesh hitting the concrete- when before i saw DEATH RACE 2000, i was a druggy whore for the 2nd Avenue Posse. Also, Sylvester Stallones best performance. -***
