Madzia Ostaszewski lights up the screen as Judge Helena, a woman battling crippling grief after the loss of her daughter Monika. When Monika’s body washes ashore with disturbing injuries, Helena’s world crumbles; she can find no rest until the killer is caught. Stepping in is prosecutor Leopold Bilski, played with depth and charisma by Jakub Gierszal. Bilski alone seems willing to seek truth, not closure. This sets the stage for an epic clash of wills as judge and lawyer team up against dark forces that threaten to engulf them.

The rule of Bridgerton — and Shonda Rhimes — on the streaming charts continued into the first two days of June.
Bridgerton declined about 37 percent in viewing time from a week earlier, but the Regency-era drama still ranked No. 1 overall on Nielsen’s charts for May 27-June 2 with 1.38 billion minutes of watch time on Netflix. The series has claimed the top spot for three straight weeks since its May 16 premiere, with another surge likely coming when results for the second half of the season (which debuted June 13) begin to arrive.
Rhimes’ Shondaland also had two other entries on the charts: Grey’s Anatomy came in third overall with 1.2 billion minutes on Hulu and Netflix. Bridgerton prequel Queen Charlotte also edged back into the top 10 original series list, scoring 274 million minutes of viewing.

“Hit Man” was the most-watched streaming original of the week by far according to Luminate’s weekly viewership rankings for June 7-13. The Richard Linklater film, which had a limited run in theaters but was primarily launched as Netflix original, hit 1.5 billion minutes watched in its first seven days on the service — translating to 12.6 million estimated views when divided by the film’s runtime.
In both viewing minutes and views, “Hit Man” more than doubled the performance of the next-most-watched movie. The French Netflix film “Under Paris” landed at No. 2 with 594.8 million minutes watched and 5.7 million views, followed by Netflix’s “How to Rob a Bank” with 216.2 million minutes watched and 2.5 million views.
The rest of the chart was populated by titles that have made Luminate's rankings in previous weeks, e.g. "Atlas" (No. 4 with 113.7 million minutes watched) and "Colors of Evil: Red" (No. 5 with 106 million minutes).

“Eric” and “Dancing for the Devil: The 7M TikTok Cult” were the two most-watched original series in the U.S. during the week of May 31-June 6.
“Eric,” Netflix’s Benedict Cumberbatch-led limited series, had the highest number of minutes watched in its first full week of availability, clocking in at 1.1 billion, while the TikTok docuseries followed at 714.6 million minutes watched. While both demonstrated strong viewership, “Eric” took first place thanks to the benefit of its five-plus-hour runtime; in views, “Dancing for the Devil” hit an estimated 4.4 million people, while “Eric” came in second with 3.3 million.
In terms of minutes watched and views, both titles edged out “Bridgerton” Season 3, which has dominated the charts since its debut. With 432.3 million minutes watched, the Regency-era drama was the No. 4 series in its third week of availability, ranking just behind “Geek Girl” (439.7 million), though “Bridgerton” did get more views (2 million vs. 1.3 million). Netflix is widely known for its long-standing tradition of dropping more and more of new and old flicks and shows to its platform every week, but this time the streaming has prepared a really big surprise for its audience.
Without letting anyone know beforehand, Netflix suddenly added Takashi Yamazaki’s last year huge sci-fi hit Godzilla Minus One, to the surprise and delight of those who have been desperately waiting for the movie to arrive on the global streaming after it got a weird limited digital release in Japan only.
Now that the highly-anticipated flick is finally available for everyone to check out, a famous author seems to have been one of the first people to do so.
Stephen King has recently taken to his social media to let everyone know about his feelings after watching Godzilla Minus One, posting a short phrase on X that says just “So good...

It's been a while since we've seen a true prestige film hit the top of the Netflix charts. Or, at least, it seems that way. Last week we saw Jennifer Lopez sci-fi outing "Atlas" have a strong showing on Netflix, a development made all the more upsetting by the simultaneous success of Antonio Banderas' B-movie "Security," which similarly blew up on the streamer seven years after its initial release. Prior to that, everyone's favorite Ogre, "Shrek," dominated the Netflix charts, while Scott Adkins Dtv actioner "One Shot" also managed to find its own success amid the Shrek-fever of May. All of this seemed a tad desultory and, dare I say, disheartening. Now, though, it may be Poland to the rescue, with murder mystery "Colors of Evil: Red" seeing global success on the service.
The crime thriller is adapted from Małgorzata Oliwia Sobczak's book "Czerwień" and directed by Adrian Panek.

For the first time ever, a film streaming on Netflix (free for subscribers) and available on VOD ($5.99 for 48 hours) is #1 on both charts.
Toho’s late-2023 sleeper success and eventual Oscar Visual Effects winner, “Godzilla Minus One” achieved that feat with a totally unexpected and previously unannounced release on Saturday.
The film, released in early December to an unexpected U.S./Canada gross of $56 million, normally would have hit PVOD for rental for $19.99 by late January, been reduced to $5.99 after a few weeks, then found a streaming home. But because of vaguely defined agreements with Legendary Entertainment, Toho’s partner in making Warner Bros.’ costlier Godzilla films, the March opening of “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire” led to the early-February termination of theatrical dates for “Minus One.” That came despite the Toho film still doing business (and ahead of the Oscars). Then, Warner’s “Godzilla x Kong” could play without “Minus One” as competition.

Jennifer Lopez-starring sci-fi flick was intended to reign supreme in Netflix’s global top for a long time, even though it gained a shameful 19% of critical acclaim on Rotten Tomatoes. However, it took only a week for it to lose its first place in the chart.
Atlas is now topped by a very unlikely thriller that, however, has managed to attract quite a strong viewership this weekend. It’s clearly a must-watch for those who enjoy twisted police procedurals and shocking true crime stories about serial killers.
The movie starts by depicting the aftermath of a relentless murder, as a girl’s body is found on a beach with her lips cut off. It turns out that it’s really reminiscent of another murder, but the point is, it happened 15 years ago, and that case was closed unsolved.

It has been a long time since I’ve watched a good crime thriller that has managed to keep my attention from start to finish, but I can definitely say the new Netflix movie Colors of Evil: Red did just that! This movie is set in a coastal town where the body of a girl named Monica is found. But this isn’t just any ordinary crime scene—her lips are mutilated, and the pattern of the killing matches a case from 15 years ago. Is it the same murderer, or are the cases unrelated with different motives altogether? Detective Leopold Bilski is on the case, working tirelessly to uncover the truth. Monica’s mother, Helena Bogucka, is also deeply involved and determined to find out what happened to her daughter. This film dives into the dark and twisted evil nature of humans, which will make your skin crawl and reveal...

Time and again, the crime-drama genre has been used to highlight how evil men are and how they’ve turned the world into a hellscape for women. David Fincher has practically dedicated a major chunk of his life to trying to tell people that America, and practically any country that decides to emulate America, has become unlivable for women because there are too many psychopaths running around everywhere. Films like Memories of a Murder, Talvar, and Silence of the Lambs showed that the justice system is weirdly biased towards men, and even though these representatives of justice don’t have any personal relations with the perpetrator, they always try to give them the benefit of the doubt just so that they can play down the trauma inflicted upon a woman. And Killers of the Flower Moon highlighted the fact that if misogyny is mixed with racism, then its repercussions can be felt throughout generations.

Directed by Adrian Panek, Colors of Evil: Red is the new Netflix thriller where a prosecutor named Leopold Bilski takes charge of a murder investigation. At first, it seemed like a crime of passion, but eventually, Bilski speculated that it might be the work of a psychopath who just killed for fun. The police department was adamant about following the convenient route, but Bilski knew that the mystery was not as simple as it seemed. So, let’s find out if Bilski and his team are able to find the truth and catch the killer at the end of Colors of Evil: Red.
Spoiler Alert
What happened to Monika Bogucka?
The body of a young girl was found floating in the water, and Dr. Tadeuz Dubiela from the forensics department went to the scene to examine it. Prosecutor Bilski reached the crime scene, and he asked his colleagues what information...

“Colors of Evil: Red” is a Polish movie directed by Adrian Panek starring Jakub Gierszal, Maja Ostaszewska and Zofia Jastrzebska.
“Colors of Evil: Red” is among those films about serial killers, investigations, crimes, and nightclubs that, while not groundbreaking, leave a pleasant aftertaste for the audience. However, don’t expect a Hollywood-style thriller packed with action, chases, and shocking plot twists. Despite its initial presentation, the movie leans more towards dialogue and personal relationships than action and surprises.
Plot
A girl is found murdered on the beach with signs of sexual violence. The police investigate and discover a blood-stained shirt. Yet, everything seems too perfect, prompting a deeper investigation, especially since the victim’s mother, a judge, gets involved. The trail leads to one of the city’s nightclubs.
A Slow-Paced Thriller with More Dialogue Than Action
