Top Chef is currently cooking in rainy Seattle, but I'd like to offer some sunnier vistas: the ten hottest contestants in Top Chef history. We'll have to save our Tom Colicchio/Rocco Dispirito lust for another post.
In the meantime, take a look at these ten hotties, glare ominously into their eyes like an intrigued Padma Lakshmi, and fight with me in the comments about who should be ranked higher/lower/not at all.
10. Chris Crary (season nine)
You're working with some kind of charm when you can place ninth and still garner the Fan Favorite award, and as you can see, Chris Crary of Top Chef: Texas was working with some fine pectoral charms. Too bad my vision of that season is tainted by weird, vaguely mean-seeming guest judge Pee Wee Herman.
9. Hung Hunyh (season three)
God, I love cockiness. Unabashed, ego-poppin' cockiness. Hung Huynh was a hotshot...

Spike Mendesohn is one celebrity chef with a lot on his plate. He currently has a reality show that takes a behind-the-scenes look at his family's restaurant business called Life After Top Chef on Bravo. He is a contestant on the latest season of The Next Iron Chef on the Food Network, and he has recently teamed up with Captain Morgan to create fall recipes with their latest formula, Black Spiced Rum.
I had the chance to speak with Spike about his many ongoing projects. Check out what he had to say about being on Top Chef versus The Next Iron Chef, and what it's like to work with Captain Morgan Rum below!
What can people expect to see on your new show, Life After Top Chef?

Expect to see more of Emily's classmate from the vengeance dojo. Barry Sloane has been promoted to a series regular on Revenge with the potential to return in a potential third season.
CBS has ordered a full season of Vegas and Elementary, both shows I liked but haven't had time to keep watching.
Er. Wow. You know Jeremy Davies' odd haircut at the Emmys? The one we thought was an expression of his character's strangeness until he stepped onto the Emmy stage? It turns out he showed up on the set of Justified with that haircut and they decided to use it.
While I agree the characters on Happy Endings are pretty terrible people, that makes senes if you don't think of it as a Friends clone but rather as the successor to Seinfeld. Bad as the He gang might be,...

Even if someone has won "Top Chef," that doesn't necessarily mean his journey with the show is over.
Richard Blais finished Season 4 of the Bravo competition as the runner-up, then came back to win Season 8, dubbed "Top Chef: All-Stars." He now operates several eateries from his Atlanta home base, and his life after "Top Chef" is being traced in an unscripted show titled ... well, "Life After Top Chef," which Bravo currently is televising on Wednesdays.
"One of the biggest things I realized was that I just had to let it play out as it played out," Blais tells Zap2it. "If you try to manipulate a situation, it doesn't work. You can't really act your way through real life, and restaurants aren't perfect, and family life isn't perfect ... but you manage and you get through it as a team, and I think that's what the show displays."

In the weeks between the end of "Top Chef Masters" and the beginning of "Top Chef: Seattle," Bravo is keeping the franchise alive with a new competition-free series "Life After Top Chef."
Instead of pitting chefs against each other in quickfire challenges, the show follows four former cheftestants -- "Top Chef: All Stars" winner Richard Blais in Atlanta, Season 6's Jen Carroll in Philadelphia, Season 4's Spike Mendelsohn in D.C. and Season 5's Fabio Viviani in Los Angeles -- in their professional and personal lives.
The series premiere was a mostly genial affair, there's no "Jersey Shore" antics or "Real World" bickering here, that relied heavily on the likable personalities of its familiar faces. But is that enough to support a weekly series? Even in a limited five episode run.
What did you think of the premiere of "Life After Top Chef" and will you be back next week?...

Supernatural is getting an upgrade to Wednesday nights.
News
And the first new shows to get a full-season are on NBC. The network gave a "back nine" order to Revolution, Go On and The New Normal. All three shows have done pretty well so far and Revolution's second and third week suggests it has a chance at avoiding the fate of shows like The Event and Terra Nova, which started strong but kept losing viewers. Now the TV nerds are waiting to see if CBS or Fox makes the first cancellation of the season. (I predicted The Mob Doctor would be the first to fall, but I didn't expect the viewers who made 2 Broke Girls a hit would reject the equally-unfunny Partners.)
Patton Oswalt will join the fourth season of Justified in a recurring role. He'll play a classmate of Raylan who has that one story of football glory that he tells again and again.

Top Chef will launch yet another spin-off on Wednesday, but this one will not feature any masters or just desserts. In fact, it's not a competition series at all. Life After Top Chef (10/9c, Bravo) will instead do exactly as the title says: offer a behind-the-scenes look at former cheftestants as they run or open restaurants, expand their brands and live their lives.
Vote: Which fall premieres won you over? Which flopped?
The cast includes two-time cheftestants Spike Mendelsohn, Fabio Viviani, Richard Blais and Jennifer Carroll, each of whom are in varying stages of their careers since viewers last saw them on All-Stars nearly two years ago. So what have they been up to? And what can you expect this season? Keep reading to find out.

Ever want to set sail with some of the best chef-testants from Bravo's "Top Chef"? We can't say the idea has ever occurred to us, but it sounds like fun.
"Top Chef: The Cruise" is scheduled for April 11-15 and they've just added a quartet of major names to the guest list: "Top Chef All Stars" winner Richard Blais, "Top Chef Just Desserts" season one winner Yigit Pura, "Top Chef: Texas" winner Paul Qui, and "Fan Favorite" winner Fabio Viviani. They'll join "Top Chef" hosts Tom Colicchio and Gail Simmons, along with 11 more alums.
Among the highlights scheduled for the cruise: behind-the-scenes kitchen tours, the opportunity to participate in live Quickfire challenges, a Q&A session with the chef-lebrities and (what sounds like the standout to us) an evening dance party hosted by DJ and Top Chef Master Hubert Keller. Additional names include Jennifer Carroll and Spike Mendelsohn, who...
