A bit surreal, but amusing.

Gordon wakes up to a random noise in his bedroom, Ashley has mistaken his bedside cabinet for the bathroom, her mother arrives, and suggests a replacement unit from Costco.

Perhaps not as sharp as the opening episode, but still funny, Colin doesn't actually feature much here, the relationships between the pair is the developing story.

Funniest scene is perhaps that surreal opening sequence, Gordon learns that Ashley has a bit of an issue.

We learn a bit more about Gordon, we learn that he's had cancer in the past, and that there's potentially a blip.

Ashley's mother was very funny, hopefully we'll see more of her. Gordon's date was funny, she was a nightmare, funny scene, a definite whiskey thief.

7/10.

Episode 2

Enjoying the overall vibe of the show even if this episode definitely felt a little bit too sitcom-y for my liking. I don't think we need to introduce the overbearing and cliched mother in episode two, but what do I know?

I like the show though because they had Gordon's date behave completely irrationally. She was a social justice warrior when sober and then when drunk turned into your typical party girl. If only things were as black and white in the real world as they are on television?

Funny enough, but a little bit of a step back from what was a really strong first episode of Colin from Accounts.

The second episode opens with something that beats the boob flash from the first one.

Ashley walks in her sleep and pees in Gordon's bedroom drawer. I think he dealt with it pretty well.

However Ashley cannot look for a new place and take care of Colin. Her domineering mother also calls round and assumes Ashley and Gordon are a couple before they head off to Costco.

Meanwhile Gordon has a date for the night and gets a disturbing phone call from his doctor.

The second episode informs the viewer that Gordon is a cancer survivor. Ashley also learns his surname which she finds amusing.

I did think that both characters have become close too quickly. When Gordon brings his date home, he loses interest in her as he finds more of a chemistry with his new house guest.

Colin from Accounts is a gentle comedy and is very much about its characters. So far they both appear to be slightly offbeat but likeable.

Colin from Accounts.

Warning: Spoilers
In Benedict Cumbercrapp, Ashley makes a mess in Gordon's sock drawer and promptly heads to Costco to buy him some new furniture. Well that took a dive real fast, I had a feeling it might get worse, but jeez. It's all very cringe and juvenile, with no substance or laughs. It made absolutely no sense either... Like why's he going on this date when she's in the house and he likes her and why's he bringing home this girl he has no interest in... There's no thought process by the character in question at all. It's written solely to yield a result and impose. It's eye opening in a really negative way.
