WWE: 205 Live: Episode #3.15 (2019)
Humberto is a promising young star and having him lose to Oney Lorcan was a mistake.
Not sure why Mike Kanellis is getting this non-push push, but it doesn't seem to be benefiting him or anyone else.
WWE: 205 Live: Episode #3.16 (2019)
Gulak and Nese as a main event didn't work since Nese is not really a face and both have styles don't really gel together.
Alexander and Lorcan was okay, but I have never been a huge Oney fan.
Another enjoyable episode of Always Late here.
I don't agree with the cashless concept, but I understand it might be the wave of the future.
I don't agree with defending and always taking the player's side though. They get a lot of money to play a sport for a living. They should consider themselves lucky to be in that spot.
Bears and Cubs
Should the show keep bringing back Robert Wagner considering everything that has come out in recent years? Without Tony on the show it doesn't feel necessary.
This wasn't a bad episode, but it would have been better had it not been Jimmy at the heart of the story.
American Dad!: Persona Assistant (2019)
Considering this was a special 250th episode I was quite disappointed.
I felt like there was more to explore with the Steve storyline that did not get enough time. It was a bit South Park-y, but that's not a bad thing.
The Steve and Roger stuff went all the rails in a hurry.
Another enjoyable episode of Ariel and the Bad Guy here.
My main gripe is one I continue to have and that is I wish the show operated more as a preview for future events than a recap of the news of the week. They barely touched on this Saturday's UFC on ESPN+ card.
American Dad!: Twinanigans (2019)
As far as Steve and Roger episodes go, this one was a bit underwhelming.
Still some funny Hollywood references, and an agent that was absurd, but pretty much average by American Dad standards.
I'm Sorry.: New York vs. LA (2019)
New York vs. LA
I don't think the payoff for the tanktop gag was as funny as they thought it was, but it was certainly a twist we did not see coming.
The second season of the show was an improvement and I hope we get a third. Even if this is Curb Your Enthusiasm-lite, we want more of it.
UFC on ESPN: Lewis vs. dos Santos (2019)
Lewis vs. dos Santos
This wasn't the strongest card on paper, but it certainly had that big feel heavyweight fight we have been looking for.
The main event was certainly wild and dramatic, but the rest of the card was a little underwhelming.
This was the big moment that they've building to for a year now: the ladies faced the jury and judge for their crime.
We know they will not last long in prison, but I would like to at least see a brief stint. That always leads to good drama on these shows.
After Life: Episode #1.3 (2019)
Tony at the comedy club was exactly the kind of awkward scene that Ricky Gervais shows are so good at.
The sex worker thing felt unnecessary and we knew Tony would not sleep with her when he led her back, but I have to admit even that plot gave us some laughs.
After Life: Episode #1.4 (2019)
Wish we got more of the bad blind date, but I also understand why having a scene that lengthy would not fit in with this show's format.
Another funny episode, but Tony' s behavior even depressed me tonight.
After Life: Episode #1.5 (2019)
Finally, they actually let Sandy have some lines and not just smile at Tony's jokes.
Her speech was good, but it felt unimportant considering Tony just heard the same point from the widow on the bench in the previous scene.
After Life: Episode #1.6 (2019)
Tony turning into a complete nice guy at the end felt forced and not really needed, but I can understand them wanting to "put a bow on this" and make it a one series affair.
Glad Ricky Gervais returned to TV. Not the best show, but this surely had a lot of laughs.
The episode had a couple laughs, but was not really creative in terms of the adult or child storylines.
Also, the kids seemed a little too rational for being their age and stuck alone in school.
Chris Harrison stole the show with his guest appearance here.
The Voice: Episode #16.3 (2019)
Dexter Roberts was the star here, as well as a performance of 90's classic "Runaway Train" but right now the show is just struggling. I am not really loving the talent this season, but we'll see where things go in the next round.
Colt Cabana's commentary was spot on at the end. How did Jay Lethal walk right into a trap from The Kingdom?
An okay show here highlighted by an above average women's match. WOH need a a boost and maybe the new Champion can provide that.
WWE has fallen backward into another huge star in the making in Kofi Kingston. We will see if they predictably ruin it, but the crowd response he is getting is insane.
Unfortunately, we also got plenty of stupid stuff like a heel Shane McMahon that no one asked for.
WWE Fastlane (2019)
Another disappointing PPV that felt no different from the typical episode of Raw or Smackdown.
Having Ronda Rousey break up the Charlotte/Becky match may have made sense for her character, but cutting that match short made no viewers happy. Why even go through with all of this nonsense just to do that?
The Voice UK: Battles 1 (2019)
The Battles are always a fun round on this show and this was no different. Usually I disagree with all of the decisions by the coaches on The Voice UK, but this episode it was only a few that left me scratching my head.
The Voice UK: Blind Auditions 7 (2019)
Not the best talent, but when it comes down to the end and you wonder who will be the final artist to get a spot, there is a certain level of excitement and drama around it.
Now, after two months, I think we are all ready for the battles.
The Dark War
Having two segments where men were running down women and the idea of them being in the wrestling business was too much. One was sufficient to get the heel heat.
The Cody/Bucks part of Gilberti's backstage search did make me laugh.
Not the best wrestling show, but a variety of stuff tonight made me enjoy it.
It seems like every medical drama has to do the episode where the doctors arrogantly talk to students, but for some reason NCIS felt the need to do that tonight.
And what is with all the weird looks into Torres' backstory and personality? Why not just give us the case of the week?
The Voice: Episode #16.4 (2019)
LB Crew was the standout here, although there were some solid singers. JT Rodriguez felt like someone who would compete on an international version of the show so I hope he advances in the Comeback stage.
LB impressed me and because of the fact he sang "Waves" I will be pulling for him this season.
Not a lot of noteworthy talent here, but we did see a special young girl and a South African star in the making.
This show doesn't feel as tired this season, but I am not that impressed with the talent either.
