Here are a few interesting and/or noteworthy projects that were recently added to IMDbPro's database of development titles:
Untitled Lynne Ramsay Project – Hot off her BFI win for We Need to Talk About Kevin, British director Lynne Ramsay is now setting her sights on Moby Dick… in outer space. Ramsay is one of those underrated filmmakers you commit to memory after seeing one of her films, then really look forward to see what she does next. You’ll hear more about Kevin in the coming months, but never would've guessed she’ll follow it up with a sci-fi project?
Untitled Whitey Bulger Project – The long-awaited reunion of Good Will Hunting pals Ben Affleck and Matt Damon is finally (maybe) going to happen. While nothing came of that untitled lawyer script they announced in 2006, there is talk this week that the two will both star in the crime drama about the fallen Boston mobster. Affleck will direct a script by Terence Winter with younger brother, Casey, co-starring.
Puzzler – Anne Hathaway's breaking into the producing biz with her next project. Set up at Paramount, she'll also star in the thriller written by Karl Gajdusek (Trespass).
McFarland – Whale Rider director Niki Caro's in talks with Disney to helm this inspirational tale about a track and field coach who transforms a high school team into champs. Grant Thompson wrote the script. Mayhem Pictures' Mark Ciardi and Gordon Gray will produce.
Jasper Milliken – Clue fans (you know who you are) will be happy to hear that writer-director Jonathan Lynn's working on a new project written by Julie Howe. The quirky indie film centers on a psychic orphan whose odd predictions derail a crooked deal that lands him in trouble.
