Star and matchmaker on Bravo's hit show Miss Advised, Amy Laurent, certainly tells it like it is.
On August 21, I sat waiting patiently for Amy to show up at the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation Summer party in a nondescript building/club called No.8, I wondered, how is it that this professional matchmaker is still single? And why is she late despite the fact that lateness is one of her biggest pet-peeves? Well, Amy finally showed up for the event and, as it turns out, she had a valid reason. Obama was in town jamming up midtown traffic for his $20,000-a-head campaigning dinner/game of hoops with Michael Jordan, so I had to let her slide.
Speaking of sliding, I guess girls really do put themselves through more than us guys know just to keep themselves looking pretty. Being true to her reputation of being 'real,...

On the Series Premiere of "Miss Advised" (Mon., 10 p.m. Et on Bravo) fashion, media and relationship expert Julia Allison had a top sartorial tip.
"The perfect dress for a first date," she said, "is one that says to a guy, 'You can take me home to your mom and I might give you a bl*w j*b on the way there.'"
Julia was exploring the dating scene in her new hometown of Los Angeles when she went on a date with Justin. Although she didn't think there was any spark between them, she did get him to help her move house.
Then, arguably deviating from her own break-up advice of "always do it in a classy manner," Julia dumped Justin over the phone as he drove away from her house.

We may be used to seeing Ashley Tisdale dolled up on the red carpet, but we got a decidedly more candid peek at the actress this week.
The former "High School Musical" actress was spotted running errands in La Thursday sporting what appears to be a makeup-free look, along with her dog, Maui. Hey, she can't be red-carpet ready all the time!
These days, Tisdale is leaving Disney behind and has been busy working on Louis C.K.'s untitled CBS comedy pilot. If the series gets picked up, the actress will be headed back to the small screen soon.
But getting back in front of the camera isn't the only project Tisdale's been working on. She's executive producing a new unscripted Bravo show, "Miss Advised," with her company, Blondie Productions.
Check out Tisdale's photo below, as well as other stars who have stepped out without makeup:...
